SteelmaninOZ
A win or a draw? Would love a score win, but it is what it is. SIWY
texanwellfan
If we are serious about top6 then we need to be winning games like this. No JT for this game but I think RCC can come in and do a good job for us.
joewarkfanclub
Agreed. We need to be winning this. We have proved team selection isnt necessarily defining for a Jens team, but attitude will be. Come out the blocks firing with the desire to make a statement. Lets go into the tough holiday period feeling good about ourselves.
Kmcalpin
Not a crunch game in the true sense, but an important one nonetheless if we're serious about a top 6 challenge. Dundee hasn't got the best defensive record in the league; in fact its joint worst with Livingston. However thats only a factor if we can pressurise them and get the ball into their box. JT will be absent as might Stephen Welsh. Two potentially big losses. Hopefully, JBA will pick a more adventurous defence.
texanwellfan
I think Welsh should be available but will JBA play him. More of a gash than concussion I think. At least on the bench I would think. JT been struggling a wee bit so maybe the break will be good for both him and the team. My replacement would be Cook who can score goals too. MJC
Another draw I’m afraid. 1-
wellfan
A comfortable home win is a must, though there’s probably more chance of Ward scoring than either of our two strikers.

mio
I want a win after watching that league cup final. Anything less and we should be removing JBA. or is my annoyance and my “it should have been us” blinkeredness distorting my mind. Joking aside we “should” win this and 3 points is important as it’ll be 2 tough games after this. I do hope RCC comes in to replace JT as I’d like to see him getting more of a run, gives us a goal option to.

Maybe just me but I have not been that impressed with RCC apart from great flashes ( goal at pittodrie). But definitely right option to come in for JT

We have given JT a lot of great passes that he seems to stumble over or gets the ball tangled up in his feet instead of being 5 yards past the defender. Of course he does seem to have a knack for being there to pick up on loose balls for goals so should be interesting to see what happens.
mfc
Hopefully we see another performance like the Hibs and livi games, where we were right at it from the first whistle.the forward line is still a bit of conundrum, just has been a brilliant signing and maswanhise has been doing the business but it's about time the rest of them starting contributing more than they have been. The African
I'd like to see us start with Stam up front. Dundee's semi-porous defence might be just the tonic he needs to bag a couple and get on a scoring run. How much of this game is about confidence? Also handy to have him on the park for the almost inevitable penalty. If I have jinxed us in any way with this post, I can only apologize most sincerely. Kmcalpin
Dundee likely to be without Ryan Astley, adding to their defensive woes.

Does plenty work but his main job, scoring goals from open play is poor really poor. Along same stats and line as Curtis Main.

Kmcalpin
Hopefully, Stephen Welsh will be passed fit for Saturday. Concussion rules seem to be: 1) a graduated return to play protocol means that the player involved can't return to full training or match action for 7 days. 2) A more severe concussion would see a player ruled out for longer Source: Dundee Courier. texanwellfan
Hoping for Utd to take 3 points of Celtic tonight amd keep them within our reach. Pile the pressure onto Celtic but not enough to get rid of Nancy yet. save that for after our game at Fir park.
Orinoco
We are 10 ahead of utd in 8th place. A nice gap. A draw tonight would be our best result. Keeps celtic close, utd well back and more pressure on celtic.
Yassin
we're not going to finish above Celtic.
