Dugmeat suggests a player with zero redeemable features whatsoever.  I dont think thats Sparrow.

I would say that Tom Sparrow is a decent squad player, in midfield only. An honest pro but thats it. Never a starter.

Id suggest his best attribute is that he tries hard...thats not enough

He also has a very good first touch when big diagonals are fired at him from left back or centre half.

He could work on his delivery, but personally I think he is a serviceable right midfielder at our level in certain games/circumstances.

Wouldnt be a stick on starter for me and not captain material, but far from "dugmeat".

I think Sparrow is a good squad player for us and we can get a good return from him coming off the bench to add energy to the team as we tire.
