Kmcalpin
Police warning against unnecessary road journeys in the next 24 hours. Surely the game will be postponed?

I'm hoping that the energy he speaks of in training remains for the full match, can’t allow Tarts time on the ball over could be exposed, hoping for a few changes but not Cookie to start, might be good off the bench later on, would want Polsen, JKL and Johnny K starting with Moorman and Longo in defence, Said, Faddy, Levitt, Kanga in midfield and Lowry n Thor in attack, bench Hodge, Sparrow, Seb, SOD n Mas. a draw would a good point but I’m hopeful a Well victory. I think our bad run will continue because we are weak all over the park.

I think the game will go ahead but will be ruined by the wind.
Wellsince1976
Hearts sound to be bare bones for the game. Hope it goes ahead for that reason alone. Would give us a slight chance.

Look what Kilmarnock got today, humped , they are pish one of the worst teams Ive seen and they stuck 3 past us, Lost 3 to St Mirren Lost 4 to Aberdeen Lost 3 to Kilmarnock Thats 3 rank teams and we've conceded 10 goals to them. A weakened Hearts team is still better than those 3. I suspect our utterly inept results will continue tomorrow.

Ill be surprised if the game is called off. I'm hoping it is because theres no enjoyment playing a game in these winds.
wellfan
The rain is due to stop later this morning, but the gusty wind is expected to continue. I reckon they’ll give it until 11am before making a decision.
Kmcalpin
Wind strength forecast to increase slightly before kick off. Why would the SPFL go against Police advice? They don't normally do that.

mio
I’ll not be going today if it’s on, I’d happily watch any game in the p1551n rain, snow, freezing cold but playing games in 60mph wind is a joke. Never watched a good game in those conditions. Dreadful for players/fans. Waste of time

Same as yesterday and the full SPFL card went ahead as did the Championship. It would be strange to cancel todays card for same wind but less rain. MJC
Club have just posted the promotion for the game today on the socials. it includes “take care when travelling. Allow extra time for travel disruption.” By the sounds of it they are expecting the game to go ahead.

Was it at Aberdeen a couple of seasons ago that both Aberdeen and Motherwell requested a cancellation on safety grounds because police advised against all travel? Permission refused by football authorities. Also Dundee where our game was only called off after pictures posted online of roads closed due to floods and fans stranded as a result. Again police advice hours before was not to travel. May have the venues mixed up but there are numerous examples of police advice being ignored. There was also a game at Ibrox only cancelled when a team (St Johnstone?)refused to travel for safety reasons. Again following earlier police warnings. Simply put, the fans and their safety are not a consideration where the Scottish football authorities are concerned.

Correct and with the game being Live on TV neither the Hibs v Celtic games or the Motherwell v Hearts games will be postponed because of wind. Conditions are better rain wise and no worse than yesterday wind wise when a full card went ahead.. The SPFL couldn't give two fucks if fans are inconvenienced or the game ruined by the wind. We've all been going long enough to know that corporate money is the deciding factor 9 times out of 10.
