He must have moved up, I'm sure he was at 1034.
-
He just missed out! He is down at number 666
-
....and Tommy Boyd?
-
Hard as it may be, we need to forget about JBA. He`s gone. A new chapter has begun.

I've arbitrarily identified about 105 candidates so far but it'll take quite some time to sort out an order. Criteria, for me, are appearances, goals scored and international appearances. Its obviously difficult to rate players from bygone eras that I've never seen, and avoid recency bias.

Funny thing about Fergie , he did come across as a bit nervy , jittery , flakey....take your pic but can't deny what he achieved, especially at Aberdeen. One of the first things he did was intimidate officials...suppose you can understand that. Wouldn't get away with that now but nothings changed, still dont get benefit of doubt against Glasgow teams. Actually now we have VAR, which has managed to make things worse. Maybe another discussion but I'm on a roll...officiating at WC has been largely OK, I think. Letting a lot go ...maybe to Scotlands detriment. They weren't stonewallers but another day, we get one of them .

Eli was brilliant in that first half, an absolute stand out I thought. 2nd half Egypt were much better and deserved the win but he’s really showing himself up as a class act. I’ve resigned myself to him being picked up but we are talking millions and it wouldn’t surprise me to break Lennon Millers fee.

Yeah, think age is less important now as the game has evolved. I a similar way that a Manager giving the hairdryer treatment these days probably wouldn't wash and would be less of a motivator than in the past.
-
They have a set procedure per the order of names drawn out the hat but that can be affected by other European games set to be played in the same locality so that’s probably the delay in confirming the dates for Motherwell game. I have no clue how they sort that out if it is an issue.

JBA fist advice to new manager Don't expect decent officiating at matches and Don't read the forums .
-
The age point is a red herring. The issue isn’t how old a manager is, it’s whether they have the aura and presence to lead and command the respect of 20-plus other men. In our case, we’ll soon find out.

Jock Wallace liked to play at the beach his favourite movie was The Hill.
-
Good list there to start 👍
-
Keep taking your meds mate 💊
-
Any list would have to include Tommy Coyne, James McFadden, Davie Cooper, Phil O'Donnell, Keith McCrae, Joe Wark, Willie Pettigrew, Bobby Graham, Bobby Watson, Brian Heron, Vic Davidson, Paul Lambert, Brian Martin, etc.....
-
Good man...any discussion will be welcome and good natured
-
You are basing that on one video!. Jeez gie him a chance, probably nervous as he has big boots to follow. In Alfred we trust
-
In selfish mode I hope Egypt beat new Zealand as it helps Scotland... A 4-3 win with just hat trick be perfect
-
I'm beginning to think that, even if Just were Scottish, he wouldn't be getting a call-up from Mr Clarke, hat-trick or not.
-
I think these comments come off the back of the BBC Sportsound article where there was discussion about the importance to players of a good first impression. I suppose a first impression is by definition something you can't define. It's a feeling rather than something more objective. Unfortunately he is going to be compared to Askou and unfortunately for Johansson that is going to be a very difficult act to follow. We all hope he can match Askou's success but the slight nervousness is understandable because Askou has set such an impressive precedent.

Jim Jeffries and Jock Wallace had an aura.
