Spoke loads about Motherwell as a club as well as what happened behind the scenes. It’s good to hear ex players with a genuine affection for Motherwell.

I think a lot of nerves early on and understandable as he is following a legend( whoops...cannae say that 🤣🤣), he would obviously take his time to get to know players and gradually implement his methods. You can already see the great closeness of squad involving new guys ( check hibs 2nd goal celebrations) and also the way he interacts with players ( longelo after hibs game and Said after hjk). Also bear in mind his wife just had a baby. Early days but i think we have unearthed another diamond. No doubt lose tomorrow and it will be Alfred must go!! 🤣🤣

I must admit that I have completely changed my view on AJ's media presence. I thought his first couple of interviews and his introductory speech to the players was a little underwhelming but he is completely owning his media interviews now. A mixture of intelligence, humour, approachability but at the same time clear in his own thoughts and beliefs. In a more subtle way, like JBA he does not suffer fools gladly. Overall his first few months have been hugely impressive under demanding circumstances. It is so refreshing not to have to listen to the ' these European games come too early ' rhetoric of Scottish managers past. Our wee club appears to have batted one out the park once again on managerial appointments. As Well fans it should give us great pride that we have shown that there is an alternative to the traditional Scottish football way. I think that the press/ media are responding favourably too. The BBC write up on Thursday nights game showed real affection for what is happening at Firpark. Happy days.

I have no issues with Connolly playing, he has played a number of times and done well. He had one mis kick at Pittodrie but otherwise his games have been good, a clean sheet in the last game of last season.

I’d definitely like to see some of the youngsters get some game time at least. Did Connelly not play in some of the early cup games last season? Maybe it was the Scottish cup and it’s better to keep our no.1 in while the team settles but in AJ we trust so whatever he thinks is good for me.

I take it this will be the same message in house too. Am liking the subtle psychology of it all. Cups are hard remember last year. Also saying he is content with the squad but expects. I take your general point but doubt if Wells will feature as he now plays for Linfield. Maybe a bit of game time for Zander McAllister from the bench? Matty Connelly? I must admit I like to see a bit of height between the sticks.

Im all for giving some game time to Whyte, Wells, and a few more young outfield players via some sub minutes but truly Connolly gives me the fear, not a fan, we need to progress here so Id play Poulson all day long. if we stick to our principles of possession control we should win and progress but please no Connolly!

I'd certainly be starting the likes of Connelly, Wilson, Knight Lebel, Whyte and Vogt for this one.
