BBC now giving Saturday's attendance as being 7,195. Whatever the precise number, the trend is certainly very encouraging. If attendances are higher there's also more spend in the shop, catering kiosks and on the HT draw.

I would imagine, if sustained, the first significant upturn in attendances in 20 years will also reinforce that fans want entertained. The die hards like myself will turn up every week no mater the shite on show but fans who pick n choose need more than blind loyalty to part with £25 every second week.

This is exactly it. The Well Society & New Board deserve a lot of credit getting us to where we are so quickly. We now have an identity as a club and as a team. We are financially secure for the short to medium term. The fanbase is fully engaged. The trick now is to maintain that and use it as a platform for continuous improvement. Mistakes will be made along the way, but as long as we get more right than we get wrong then there is no reason to believe that we arent entering a period of (relative) success.

Just once would be enough!

If JBA turns us into a stable, top-six possession side by the end of the season, he’ll inevitably be poached. That doesn’t mean game over though. It means we’ve built that identity, and the job is simply to bring in another manager to continue it. I trust the new Chairman to do exactly that. The trajectory is now set regardless of who’s in charge. The aim obviously isn’t winning the league every year. It’s stability, entertaining football, European qualification, and a decent cup run or two.

Will be bittersweet. As we win league Jens will be offered real Madrid job.
-
Had to check twice,36 quid for restricted view, wtf
-
Ah'll dae the jokes 🤣🤣
-
This is our marker for the league title 😁😜
-
I hear you and to correct myself I was completely wrong about 3x wages . More like and extra 3k per week on top of the 8k . suppose he’ll get a large sign on fee and perhaps the club wanted to punt him for an easy few million .
-
I've got the fear , especially as they dropped points last week and Welsh is out of squad for this one. They will go all out for this from the start. Hopefully we can hold out defensively and take our chance when we get it. Needed loads of those chances previously to score just one goal so looking ominous. Hope I'm talking shite again , they are knackered from the European game and we get a point.
-
He has also had many good games. In any case, he wont play, as Hickey is fit, playing first team football and by far the no.1 choice. We dont need 2 back ups.
-
Triple might just about persuade me 😎 Living abroad and learning a second language well enough to get by isn't for everyone, so if he's happier nearer his family and not having any more German homework, then that's up to him I suppose.
-
Must be just me then. If I was getting £8,000 per week to play football in a beautiful town like Graz, I'd be happy for the rest of my life. Double or triple wages wouldn't persuade me to live in England.
-
I am not attending but had a look and it only seems to be offering the restricted view seats. Look again tomorrow.
-
think he's getting paid 2-3x the money - hard to argue with tbf.
-
Also.... Max is at Derby County, so there's that. What was he thinking in taking such a big backwards step in his career? I hope it's not just down to money. I suppose we'll see first hand this weekend just how much better Ralston is.
-
No doubt, but if Johnston had played the same way for Motherwell as he did in his last Scotland game, we'd have been thinking about dropping him too. He's not been great at Derby either, from the games I have seen. Hopefully he'll regain his form soon, once he's settled in to his new team.
-
Ralston has had many bad games for Scotland.
-
Have I missed something or is the away end sold out for this game? Not showing any options to purchase on the website.
-
Johnston did himself no favours in his last appearance. He was very poor.
-
No max Johnston but ralston in the squad , Clarke really is a fud.
-
I’m no fan of shankland but he’s scoring goals as is Conway. These two should be in. Strikers are a different breed to other players in different areas of the park. If they are on form they should be in. Anyway…. I’ll try and forget kenny Maclean, ralston and dykes and stick to Motherwell v Celtic
-
Another predictable Scotland squad. How Kenny McLean or dykes get international caps is a mystery. Burke just scored hat trick in bundis league and has pace, however Dykes still gets place and is a carthorse.
