  1. As much as we all like Lasley, he should be nowhere near the top job.

  2. Giving managers time is a nice idea, but Alexander's set his stall out: he's more interested in results than performances and has no interest in changing our style. Same thing's happened at his previous clubs - decent results, but crap football that gets him the bullet as soon as the points stop coming in. Nobody, anywhere, wants to watch that excuse for football we've been enjoying for most of the season. God forbid we actually got into Europe, though that isn't gonnae happen.

  3. This is as bad a football side as you'll see and it isn't down to the players all being poor. Long throws and long balls are our tactics and it is eye bleeding stuff. We jest that it is selection bingo every week, but the longer this atrocious run continues the worse that disruption to the XI looks. Everything is screaming a coach who is completely out of ideas and a playing squad uttery devoid of confidence. The two goals we conceded today were beyond shite. The worst of it being, when we took the lead through a fine solo effort from KVV, it looked a shoe-in that we could take a few off a really poor St Johnstone side. They were all over the place at back for 90 minutes. Any decent side in the league would have given them a doing today.

  4. Imagine if he gets near another transfer window? That should be enough for the board to make the decision they should have made many weeks ago. An egotistical delusional fraudster.

  5. To be honest, I don't give a toss how god awful other teams are, I'm only interested in how we play, and we're utterly pathetic. If Alexander said anything that suggested he found those performances unacceptable, there might be some hope it would change, but he just drones on about the next game, the next game....truly inspiring stuff. What's his long term plan? More of the same and scrape some wins, fingers crossed? When a manager who's only concerned with results stops getting results, it's time to go.

  6. How many goals do you think he should have? He is playing up top with two guy who would struggle to get a game for Accies.

  8. Agree, you just need to look at the players faces during a game when they're looking over at the dugout, thinking "whit the fuck are ye daein".

  9. I don't think it is necessarily the survival aspect that most have issue with, albeit it is priority. I personally don't think we will end up anywhere near being at risk for this season. But what for next year? We've signed players this year on longer term contracts with a view to trying to get away from our normal 6, 12 month short term deals. Slattery and Tierney for two, who look more than capable for our level / league and they're no longer getting a look in. Who's going to want to come to us this summer to play under him, with promises of a platform to build your career, only to watch the ball being blootered 40 feet over your head, then you're inexplicably dropped to to the bench for 3 months. He's had plenty money to spend, more than any manager in recent times. There's no excuse for us to be in the predicament we are in. As others have said, he doesn't even know his best team / formation 15 months after bring here. It's an utter shambles!

  11. Had a season ticket every year since 1979-1980, I can honestly say that if he is in charge next year I will not be renewing my or my two sons season tickets. I can’t invest in a situation when it’s clear that the person in charge is out of his depth and can’t be trusted with any future decisions.

  14. If he is still in charge come st mirren game ( which I expect he will be) then he needs a performance big time because anything less in front of a very hostile home support that have had enough must surely be the end for him. Yes will cost money bur just made a £3 million profit and to be honest club will lose more money keeping him on as I expect season ticket sales to drop. Cash is tight for all of us and prospect to pay over £300 minimum for season ticket to watch that style really is a tough call. Yes some may disagree but as a fan going to games for 45 years then I feel I am entitled to my own view..COYW

  16. It just shows how shit the league is that were even remotely in with a chance of getting into the top 6.im with you there's no way we will win our next 2 games,I think we will get a point against st mirren and lose at livingston.

  17. That’s just it he doesn’t appear to have a plan, either long term or short term. At least if we could see what he was trying to do but it just wasn’t coming off he might look as though he did, but there is nothing. His team selections and use of subs are mind boggling. We have players like Slattery who can’t get a look in for whatever reason. We brought in Tierney in January and Shaw on loan from Celtic and both have hardly featured. What’s going on there?? And when it’s not working he waits until about 70 mins before making any changes most weeks. I don’t know what, if anything, the manager is trying to achieve but whatever it is it clearly is not working and some of the players are looking increasingly more frustrated week to week.

  18. At the moment I’m not seeing a plan at all, there appears to be little logic to the line ups or style of play, it’s just pretty desperate football that I can’t see going anywhere. I can accept poor results if I can see where it’s going, a steady improvement with strengthening as we go. I also accept we will always lose our better players but even then we should have a style of play that we stick to, something the players understand.

  19. Exactly we really don't even have a plan A,we have no style of play or even do things that are remotely effective.our set pieces are a big give away, every free kick, corner and long ball are just lumped into the box,it's total hit and hope stuff.i don't expect to watch us play silky football every week and scoring 3 and 4 goals but it's actually pretty embarrassing for a manager at a professional football club that sets there team out with the sole intention of playing nothing but long ball football.

  20. I think if we lost to st mirren , next game, he would have to think about his future. When the crowd have turned against you , it is difficult to keep going. I usually back our managers but the football is horrible, the midfield needs a hand . Again we have list 2 goals from wide areas, I keep saying it, our full backs are lower league players.

  21. In an ideal world, I think GA should go, but we're not in ideal world. He's just been awarded a new 3 year deal (why?) and I doubt if the club will fire him. FWIW I agree with all the criticisms of him (team selections, tactics, communication etc) but to sack him at this point? If we were going to do it should have been done weeks ago. Ok, the international break is coming up but could we source a new man in time? Would it be a panic appointment? This season has been weird and clearly something has gone badly wrong but like most I haven't a clue what it is. I thought, a few weeks ago, given our disastrous run, that top 6 was probably beyond us and that 7th spot would be a decent finish but we weren't clear of relegation and thats still my view. Looking at our remaining 7 games they are all very difficult and, on current form, we'll do well to pick up more than about 4/5 points. At the end of the season big decisions need to be taken.

  22. 100% Jack Ross. His teams play good attractive football and I think he’s been harshly treated at a couple of clubs. unfortunately I don’t see GA being sacked or walking away. we have decent players in this squad which is the frustrating thing…. They all look lost and devoid of any idea of what they are meant to be doing.

  24. And also....again just my opinion. The way we seem to have abandoned the youth set up is shocking. Apart from young Dean I see no other youths getting q chance ahead of 2nd rated players from England lower league

  25. Put Lasley in until the end of the season, get a consistent established 11, try and get a bit of confidence, and play a midfield, then on to next season.

  27. I think the reaction to today's defeat and GA's position is a bit OTT. I visited the normally rarified and exclusive P & B site this afternoon for the first time in a while and was shocked to see posters there in complete meltdown. Today's game was always going to be difficult and a loss was always the most likely outcome. Given that GA has just signed a new 3 year deal I can't see him going anywhere soon. Apart from that, changing managers with 7 games to go would be risky not to say very difficult. Any suggestion that Keith Lasley should take over is way off beam given his last game in charge of us. Keep the heid folks, I'm confident we can scrape together 2 or 3 points between now and the season's end to keep us at least 10th.

  28. Most managers don't have a Plan B or Plan C to change to, but we don't even seem to have a Plan A. It's like watching childrens' football where the ball is just punted up the field and everyone chases after it. To me, the most frustrating thing is the lack of a settled starting 11. I'm beginning to wonder if the reason we don't see the drum for the half time draw anymore is because it's now being used by the manager to pick the team each week.

  34. FFS.....a variation on last weeks tombola team selection....2 in the mid field, all the strikers having to play on the half way line cause we have no midfield. ** Usual disclaimer about all my predictions always being wrong still applies.

  35. No one is forced to buy the new kit every season. I think a kit refresh per season is the going rate now, for most clubs.

  36. St Johnstone are desperate for the points, obviously, but we should be too. If this game means more to their players than ours, the season's already over. No more talking about trying to win every game, Alexander's got to take some risks and go for it now.
