It’s not working at the moment . Here is my opinion on the rest of your post. Louis Moult - clearly a gamble but one most fans were willing to take . Sign yourself up for the hindsight police. Van Veen- doesn’t need to be another striker that plays off him, it just needs to be someone that isn’t Connor Shields Solhom - poor positioning yes sometimes but he is great at headering the ball - does your seat face the pitch ? McGinn - enough chances LOLZ - the guy is 8/10 every week. Get yourself off to Specsavers . Slattery - he has been off the pace last few games but we are generally a better side with him in the engine room Spittal - he played 2 great throughballs in the first half alone but we didn’t capitalise . Looked gubbed after 60 mins and should have been taken off Barry McGuire - I’m not a fan but he’s there to provide squad cover and come on late in a game to shore us up - not required recently as we are never in front. Neil Lennon - the guy is a weapon with well publicised personal issues he should be nowhere near any dugout far less ours.3 points

Another chance missed today, 3 points dropped to a very poor Aberdeen team, who in all honesty were as bad as us, but a different class when it came to time wasting, going down at every opportunity, conning the referee, even Goodwin was at it grabbing McGinns shirt when he was taking a throw in, and don't get me started on that diving wee shite Duk. Some of our play was excellent today, especially 2nd half and we really should have went in front, KVV missed a sitter, but a blind man can see where our issues are, we create nothing, no threat at all, SH took a punt on Moult and Aarons and its failed, for me both of them are done and I reckon we won't see either of them play this season. So we need to try to pick it as many points as we can before January and hope then we can get at least another 2 goalscorers in the transfer window. This year is a repeat of last season, 10 teams beating each other and dropping points all the time, think its 1 win in 7 for us but we are still only 6 points off 3rd and 4 off 12th, so no need for any pant wetting just yet.2 points

The board and the cameraman ceo have a lot to answer for . They appointed Alexander then blew the budget on an extended deal for him and his chums. They gave him the bullet too late for another manager to stamp his authority on the squad and then because they had blown all the clubs cash had to appoint the cheap old pals option in Hammell. What everyone witnessed today is the aftermath of that. In inexperienced manager , with a dud of an assistant and a poor poor squad, possibility one if not the worst we’ve had in 30 years. The but and big questions for me though are where are our youth players that Hammell has coached and been in charge of for a number of years ? It speaks volumes for his previous job that the best he can muster is two 16 year olds on the bench- where are the 17-20 year old academy players he coached and headed up? One man up front is criminal at home , as is a midfield with no one in it who can tackle or had any pace or desire in them . Blair Spittal broken ribs or not takes our shite midfielders to a new level - makes Craig clay , Lee Lucas, paul Harvey and John Davies look like players . We are in the utter shit especially with our forthcoming fixtures and I personally don’t think we have the players or manager to get us out of it especially not with the tactics and lack of fitness, desire and heart I have seen over the past few weeks. 1 league win in 8 can’t be glossed up any way other than unacceptable and grim. People seem to either be blaming KVV or and the defence . I believe the main problem lies with the midfield or lack of it and our manager seems unwilling to change it . Slatterly isn’t fit , goss is a luxury player and the rest are fucking miles off premier league standard. There’s no protection for the defence , no out ball for the defence and no supply to our lone striker . Watch the 2nd goal back and Spittals shite bag attempt at a challenge at the start of of move , kids himself on he got sent the wrong way - epitomises his and the midfield in generals lack of desire2 points

Don't blame Hammell, he was put in a terrible position. No one else wanted the job and that's why he's there. And forget about managers, formations, line ups. This is a squad of footballers who, for the most part, cannot pass a ball and have next to no game intelligence in terms of moving into space or releasing the ball. That's all the analysis you need. Essentially they don't have the basics skills to play 'on the carpet'. Alexander's 'eye bleed' football might not have been great to watch but it maximised what we had as points over a season. Now we are trying to play football and giving the ball away, again and again because we literally can't play the way fans want to see the game played. Yet again we had just over 4,000 home supporters at the match. We are self financing. We simply do not have the financial power to bring in quality footballers. There are 3rd or 4th tiers of football that have more money than us. That's the brutal truth. Alexander's way was deemed unacceptable by our support. So what's the realistic alternative? As I've said for some time there I think there is a real disconnect between where we are as a club and where some of our supporters think we should be. That's an enormous danger because it's delusions that bring the great downfalls.2 points

A very poor Rangers team that had humiliated us at Ibrox in the league cup the season before under McCall. I could not believe his (McCalls) talk before that game about us having to be at our best and them having an off night to get a result. We duly got thumped 3-0 from memory. I genuinely believe that Baraclough was the only manager we have had over the last 20 years that could have got us that result in the playoff. He brought a fresh mindset when we needed it most. Craig Brown, Alex McLeish, Mark McGhee, Stuart McCall etc would all have had us beat before a ball was kicked. It's the Scottish football way. We owe Baraclough a debt of gratitude that some Motherwell fans seem to lack the good grace to give him.2 points

Also, fuck having Neil Lennon anywhere near our club. He’s a classless bigot that makes an arse of himself at every club he goes to.1 point

Very frustrating day and genuinely worried as we have hard set of fixtures. We need guys giving their all and sorry..and just my opinion but van Veen is not a guy that will sweat blood for the cause, tota lazy arse attitude and fact he had rant at Penney says it all. Yes I know he has 10 goals and of course can't be dropped mainly cos no one challenging for jersey. However he needs rocket up the proverbial1 point

Confidence and lack of is often the difference. under GA we got off to a good start last season , got confident and had a good streak . We were then brutal for a long series of games and rightly he left the club . Hammell came in late in pre season when majority of teams already have their squads sorted . He brought in a few positive signings and got the team playing well . we gained confidence and picked up points against the the lower half teams . we’ve lost confidence playing the better , top half teams . No surprise . we need to dig in and pick up results , more so when we play teams of similar budget and stature . Personal view is too many people expect us to outperform our salary and cost base . Anything above 10th this season is ok for me . It’s not the long term ask but for now it’s realistic . Hammell needs a few years and a few transfer windows . Patience and tolerance is required1 point

Thinking we are going to be in for a long long season Fully behind Stevie Hammell, he was put in this position and I believe will do the job to the best of his ability, and really hope he succeeds. I do believe there is a major rebuilding job required though1 point

KvV yet again looks a hugely frustrated figure today and totally understandable, because he has absolutely NOTHING in the way of support or service. Dennis Bergkamp would struggle up front in this team. Our scouting and player recruitment is absolutely abysmal.1 point

I feel similar about van veen,I think he's a decent asset when he's in the mood but lately he's miles off it,his confidence looks completely gone,I wouldn't even be surprised he's playing with an injury at the minute.we really find ourselves in a tough situation where our main guy for a goal isn't at the races but we still need to play him cause we have nobody else.1 point

Two things need to happen needs to change the formation cause this is not working and needs to go see Burrows tell him might be beneficial to get some experience in to help with things until the end of the season. Sticks with this and we are done.1 point

I love the way it always comes back to Van Veen, there are another ten players behind him most games including the other strikers. It’s been said before that if he was prolific we could not afford him. Let’s look at why other players are starting to look like they have never been on a training pitch first because today was yet again full of the basics not being done. Even the more consistent players are all over the place. We got beat by a pretty poor Aberdeen team today.1 point

We can't rely on one striker to do everything, but that's exactly what we've been doing recently. We have no alternatives.1 point

games died on its arse. you can blame defenders, but Van Veen really should have had us in front.1 point

Bad knee injury. He wont play many games for us. Came on as a sub and now injured again. Off load him asap. Just taking a wage1 point

I'll be happy if we are just better in our own box. That has to be the foundation for any success.1 point

So just so I’m reading your comments properly because someone like spittal is an ‘experienced ‘ player you don’t believe he should be dropped . What’s your wisdom and advice then how would you fix it or would you bury your head in the sand like hammell and play the same non performers in the same system every week and hope for the best ? As I alluded to earlier that fact we have no 21/20/19/18 year olds ready to step up is on one man that oversaw the academy and has now somehow found himself in charge of the first team - rather ironic0 points

Total rubbish. St Mirren is full of FP cast offs and can compete and beat Celtic and won today. Livingstone go to Ibrox and get a point. They don't have any more money than us. The simple fact is we have appointed a rookie manager who is not up to it. It ain't rocket science. And just how do you know no one else wanted the job. Were you there at the interviews. I really love reading your self important know it all posts. Gives me a good laugh and we all need that at times0 points
