  1. Such a shame, that was a lovely goal. Can't believe the stick Spittal gets, he's been in great form since SK took over.

  2. Fair point about Aitchison offering nothing but in his defence, I don't know how much he could offer given he never got off the bench...

  3. How we finished the game is the line up that should have started. It shows you how poor our defence is without Casey and Butcher. Mugabi is a bomb scare. I would say Obiki is a much much better player than Mandron but would give neither a contract for next season. I honestly do not see what SK sees in Mandron?. Spittal should be offered an extension, everything good came through him today and has been outstanding for SK.

  4. The season started with Mugabi making a cunt of it and it's ending the same way.

  5. Kevin Nisbet is 26 , whether we like it or not being 32 puts a definite limit on KVV salability. I'd be amazed but delighted if we get 7 figures. £750,000 tops is what I think it will be. Love to be wrong. However there are three parties in this agreement that need to be happy, the player, his agent and the club.

  6. It was an entertaining game and hopefully Kettlewell can draw some lessons from it for next season. KVV getting the award as a send off was a nice touch but Liam Kelly was motm by a mile and kept us in it. Our inability to play with any tempo when we are in the lead is pathetic, there was so much more effort from the team when we went behind than at 1-0 or 1-1. The mentality is shocking. SOD showed why he can't be the starting right wing back next season, he's a very expensive squad man. Mugabi has to go. Blaney is actually worse than Lamie. Mandron and Obika are dross and Aitchison offered nothing again so we are probably looking for 4 new forwards which means next season is a complete lottery. Max Johnson came on for 20 minutes and showed the two dicks playing with Van Veen how you finish in the box. Lennon Miller had some great tackles and passes and really grew into the game, Slattery came on and barely got the ball under control. Bringing through youth has to be the number 1 priority for the club. You would like to think we should be able to get McGinn signed up ok but it would be a huge boost to get Casey and Furlong as well. Goss is worth keeping as well.

  8. Not that there was much doubt . Defensively we’re not the same without Butcher and Casey . without them we’ve slipped back into being a much easier team to score against

  11. Already Spittal in the firing line as folk have contacted Sportscene complaining about why he is our player featured in opening credits!! Lol Obviously we all want a win today but if we don't we should all cast our minds back to Feb and that horrible 2-0 home defeat to St Johnstone. At that point if anyone had said " hey...don't worry....we will have a chance of finishing 7th come last day of season"...would you honestly have believed them? Let's create a great atmosphere today and get behind ALL of the players. I remind everyone we have 3rd best goals conceded in league and under SK has been W8 D3 L2 which is incredible. COYW

  12. Beat me to it! A beautiful sunny day Premiership safety secured KvV scoring for fun Playing at home against a team effectively relegated… …all of the above points to the game itself being an anti-climax and a disappointment. Now I don’t have a crystal ball and I’m not proclaiming this to be “The Gospel according to MJC” here. But from pure experience of following Motherwell, this today has defeat or at best bore draw written all over it.

  13. Beautiful sunny day. Whole stadium decked out in claret and amber. Wee Tommy getting his well deserved recognition. Hopefully a positive result, some goal records broken and the chance to say thank you and goodbye to the players that wont be with us next season. Get yerself along to the game!

  14. Looking forward to the game. It's a shame the season is coming to an end as we're enjoying such a good run of form. It's amazing to think of the turn around in form as leaving Kirkcaldy all those months ago, even though you knew that it was curtains for Hammell it was hard to see a way out of relegation battle. Despite United being really poor this season our games against them have been a mixed bag. We absolutely pumped them 0-0 at Fir Park earlier in the season, we scraped a 1-0 win up at Tannadice despite playing 10 men for just over half the match and more recently they beat us at Fir Park, still annoyed about the VAR offside consistency in that one mind as we would have been 2 goals to the good if they gave the attacker the advantage like they did with the touching lines in the Rangers game. If we secured 7th on Wednesday I wouldn't have been surprised to see maybe young Miller get his first start as well as Oxborough perhaps but as we didn't I think the side will likely be Kelly, Furlong, Blaney, Mugabi, McGinn, O'Donnell, Goss, Slattery, Spittal, Van Veen and Mandron. Itll be nice to officially relegate Jim 'Beyond Saving' Goodwin a day after he signed his longer term contract. Hopefully VV puts it to bed early.

  15. People only care about arrogance when you're losing. If SK had the same record as Hammell we'd be slating him for arrogance too. You need an ego the size of Lanarkshire to survive in the management game these days.

  16. I wish GA all the best in his new job. I definitely felt he had to go but some of the toxic abuse aimed at him was ridiculous.

  17. That's not true even here in the US where free speech is enshrined in the 1st amendment and more protected than it is in the UK. As Fox News recently found out, repeating known lies about the election just cost them three quarters of a billion dollars.

  18. 2-3 million for a 32 year old is most certainly pricing him out of a big money move he's earned.

  19. Furlong and McGinn had very good games. Kelly had a very good first half but had little to do seconf half. KVV got his goal and had some great runs. Max had a great last 30 mins. But our MOTM by a distance today is Blair Spittal. How some of our fans cant see his quality is beyond me.

  20. I see your still talking shite about one of the best players we've had since Hammell was punted, fair play fill yer boots, it gives you another player to be obsessed about if you ever get bored with SOD

  21. I think with Spittal for whatever reason, some made their mind up the day he signed that he was rubbish and use any dip in performance or a simple bad pass to try and strengthen that view, simply ignoring or saying nothing when he's stepped up, scored or assisted. It's been a strange hill to choose to die on

  23. A very enjoyable game that evaded the dead rubber end of season event you sometimes get. Delighted for KVV and happy we got to see Johnson one last time. Well done to SK for a great turnaround. Best of the rest is some achievement considering where we were.

  24. Now does that prove how lucky we were to get Butcher and Cassey when we did, Surely saved our season there

  26. Ohh and replace Mandron with Aitchison

  27. Yes, Mugabi is having a dreadful game even not taking the penalty into consideration

  28. Whether that award was justified or not Mugabi is an absolute bombscare, always has been always will be. The games going the way it usually does against Utd at home. Scrappy and poor from us and them looking the more likely side. That’s why all the talk of us pumping them today was absolutely wild. We NEVER pump Dundee Utd at Fir Park.

  30. It's the official renaming of the Tommy McLean Stand at half time. I'm assuming Tommy and his family will be in attendance, I know many of his former players will be.

  31. I'm not even going to mention his name but I see the guy with the second worst hair do in Scottish Football (McKirdy being the first) won the SFWA Player of the Year Award. I would honestly love it if VV somehow managed to match or surpass his goal tally.

  37. Hi ya Smiddy stopped going when the wage thieves got the manager sacked . Now from what I read the wage thieves are now world class . Very happy we have stayed up thinking about a MK Dons ticket for next season

  38. His passing and shooting is generally dreadful. He gave Miller a hospital pass in the first half when there was zero pressure on him which sums up a lot of his play. He's a relegation battle player.
