The main thing about Boyd that upsets Motherwell fans is that when he talks about his career it started when he signed for Celtic, the Fir park years and the 91 Cup final have been erased from his memory and its got worse over the years. As has been stated previously hes an obnoxious tosser.

Totally agree. My point was that he is the best left back in my lifetime and the greatest overall player, so he deserves to be played in his correct position. Let others fight for the scraps! 😉

McCart was a very good centre half. Just not as good as Krivokapic or Martin. Id bite your hand off to have him in this current Motherwell team the way the manager wants to play. He was very good with the ball at his feet.

That’s because Stama, the only fit centre-forward option, appears to be a dud. Even before Sule got injured, I was stressing that a further signing in the centre-forward department was essential. One positive is that Maswanhise offers a general attacking and goalscoring threat, and perhaps Just does too, though to a lesser extent at this stage. Beyond that, our only other available options are Said and Ross. We urgently need to sign a proven striker who can deliver, so I hope JBA has a rabbit ready to pull out of the hat.

At one point I think we briefly had 5 players in the first team, including Campbell, that came up through the academy together. It certainly makes a difference.

It definitely does not help our cause when clubs like Dundee Utd are able to rake in good money for good results in Europe. We can’t really complain though as whenever we have qualified for Europe we have utterly embarrassed ourselves and got well and truly humbled. That’s the thing that’s always annoyed me about us and European qualification, the way the club and most of the support seem to hold mere qualification up as a kind of trophy and how we actually perform once we’re actually there is almost an after thought. It’s the same with Scotland when they qualify for the Euros. ”Big leap to the left YAAAAASS! Big leap to the right YAAAAASS!
