Not game related but well done to the guys that created the banner for Dougie Imrie, you are a credit to the club. He’s a guy we’ve not had much time for and who’s not had much time for us over the years but what happened goes way beyond silly football rivalry. Well done guys 👏12 points

No matter where we are tonight no one, absolutely no one, can say this Motherwell team isn't worth going to watch. Hopefully that will be reflected in a decent home support for the Kilmarnock game.3 points

Keep the heid folks. It was a very good result. A very tough start to the new campaign and we're unbeaten in 3. Forget about losing 3 late goals; we were always going to concede and Hearts fully deserved their point, as did we. Yes, disappointing to lose 3 but thats football. The big plus for me is that we played Hearts today with over a week of the window to go. It would be far worse to have recorded this result next Saturday. Hopefully, we'll look back on today in 6 months time and say it was a very positive result. JBA has now seen our defence at its worst and should know by now that he has to strengthen the defence and whats more has over a week to do it. He will already have been looking at defenders and Hearts comeback today should crystallise and galvanise his thoughts. All this, and we played some really entertaining football.3 points

See if you had just stopped your post there...... It wasnt a bottle job. It was naive tactically from the manager and a mixture of tiredness, poor discipline and bad decision making from the players. Also, we may not have won a league game yet, but we are also undefeated against 3 of the better teams in the league at 2 of the harder venues. For the first 60 minutes thats as good as Ive seen us play in a long long time. The 3rd goal is an absolute thing of beauty. For a brand new team and manager its always going to be a work in progress at this stage. Today IS a sore one because of the circumsrances and we DO need to learn from the mistakes we are making, but how enjoyable is it to watch compared to last year?3 points

No arguments there and again we have shown some really promising stuff, the type of which was never evident under our previous three managers. You can see what JBA is doing and he is building a competitive team which we need to hope comes good, but as I said we need to make that count by turning draws into wins. It’s early days though still. To take a step back, looking at our opening fixtures…Rangers(H), St.Mirren and Heats(A) to come through that unbeaten is commendable. However as I said context is important with draws and I’m afraid 3-0 up with 20 to go and end up hanging on for a point isn’t good enough. Next week at home against Kilmarnock is crucial, we NEED to pick up all three points.3 points

Another benefit of playing this new style is it really sucks the life out of the opposition fans. There's not much for them to get excited about when we are pinging the ball around.3 points

Much as we have had plaudits for football this season we have not yet won a league game and it took us extra time to beat championship side. I'm concerned about goalkeeper, defending and also game management after this. A team should be able to see out a 3 . 0 lead with 25 minutes to go.2 points

I’ll take that disappointment today and forget about it if we go out and blow Killie and Kettlewell away next week.2 points

2 of our first 3 games have been home to rangers and away to hearts plus away to st mirren. Not an easy start to season. We are a job in progress and I believe in Askou.2 points

Well before the game you’d snap the arm off anyone who offers you a draw at Tynecastle against an in form Hearts side. But context is everything with draws. Regardless of what was another very good first half performance and a strong start to the second half we have thrown away a 3-0 lead with less than twenty minutes left and that is totally and utterly unacceptable, as well as being completely unprofessional. So it’s two points dropped rather than a point gained and as I said earlier it was a classic Motherwell bottle job. We are now in the position of being three league games into the season and have no wins to our name. We even needed extra time against St.Johnstone last week to secure League Cup progression. Today should ring alarm bells loud and clear to anyone who thinks this team is capable of top six this season, because until we actually manage to win football matches then that is pie in the sky. Not good enough Motherwell.2 points

It’s clear that JBA has had to build the squad as though Robinson, Nicholson, and Stuparevic don’t exist. Once they’re fit, it makes perfect sense to send them out on loan to regain match sharpness, as they won’t be walking straight into JBA’s team as things stand.2 points

I was on a plane and so my first reaction was 3-3, looks like great game. Then the disappointment when I saw we had been 3 up but like many people I said before game I’d be happy with a point. As Grizzly pointed out, we still haven’t been beaten. by all accounts we are playing some lovely football which has definitely had an effect on the support. So considering where we are with the squad and new manager things are looking rosy. If most of the other teams stick with the usual dour SPFL tactics we should fair pretty well. Even if we finish 7th or 8th it seems like it will be a lot more enjoyable than it has been these previous years watching us finish there.1 point

It's exciting alright however that exciting will soon turn to frustration pretty quickly. For me I love it simply because I was entertained and I can come away from a game like that knowing I am witnessing something special. But we need to start picking up points hopefully soon with some new faces at the back that have played this way before just to calm things down a bit. My jury is out on Ward very very shaky to me just makes me nervous every time he has the ball. Anyway roll on next week!1 point

For me we were undone by two bad keeping errors and once we conceded the 2nd Hearts tails were up. I don't think we needed to change tactics, we could still have got a 4th in the 90th minute but over elaborated, had we got to 80 mins with the two goal lead in tact we'd have been fine.1 point

Actually i didn't think the defence played that badly. Ive seen people giving Balmer pelters. He made one mistake in the game and resultant shot the Hearts man got away should have been saved by the keeper and the 3rd one the keeper should have pushed away to the corner flag. We tired and stopped doing what we had been doing in the last 20 mins but in fairness Hearts stepped it up. Sure you should never lose a 3 goal lead but the pain of that will pass as it feels like a defeat right now but we took the piss out of Hearts for 60 mins the squad build is still ongoing , there is way more to be pleased about that not.1 point

A point to mull over folks. Hearts beat both Aberdeen and Dundee United before today scoring 5 goals in the process and conceding 2.1 point

It’s night and day. We actually look like we want to play football and win games instead of conceding possession and hoping to nick something from a set piece. There are promising signs, no question about that. However, we bottled it today. We’re bad enough with 2-0 leads usually but today we get a third and we still don’t win. I’m sorry but to me that’s bottling it. That said, there are encouraging signs going forward and I’m not as disheartened as I would normally be at us conceding a 3-0 lead to only draw.1 point

It makes no difference if he should starting or not , but for an experienced player to do that not once but twice is very poor in my opinion.1 point

Personal view is we dominated via midfield for 60 mins and were coasting. Hearts bulked up in midfield and we withdrew Slattery and put on forward players. I thought Hearts dominated us for the final 30 and honestly could have won, which would have been even more gutting. I don't think it's all down to the defence or keeper, we didn't react well to their subs and made formational changes and poor subs that for me lost our way completely . The joys of being a Well fan.1 point

We were different class for an hour then took our foot of the gas when we scored the 3rd then couldn't get going again.the defence has been solid the first couple of games but we still have too many from last season that aren't good enough, there's some real positives to take from today but also we need to learn from the mistakes and quick.1 point

Absolutely disappointing to be 3-0 up and draw in those circumstances On a positive note still unbeaten in league and cup, if we beat Kettlewell's Killie next weekend all will be forgotten by me1 point

Really not sure how to feel about that. Would have bit your hand off for a point before kick off, but 3-0 up the game should be done! Jens is going to have to think about where the balance lies between playing our football and making sure we take home the 3 points. Think we lost the midfield when Slattery came off and Spittal came on. Totally understand taking him off on a yellow card with the lead we had, but hindsight would suggest that is a mistake. Poor defending for the first allowing the overload back post and poor keeping for the second (through his legs) and the 3rd (palming it out). Still a work in progress and we kinda knew this is how our "style" couldl pan out, but still a sore one in the end.1 point

If the game had continued we'd have lost. That fourth was coming sooner rather than later.1 point

Thats about as comfortable a 45mins as Ive seen us have at Tynecastle. We have got right in the heads of the Hearts players and their fans know it! Some of the howls from their fans after backpasses have been delightful! Played exactly the same as we did in Paisley and Perth but with a little more menace in the final third. Need to keep doing what we are doing and get the second goal......1 point

I think MJC enjoys a little bit of trolling and a few of his predictions are a little tongue in cheek. It is when he predicts loses against the Scottish 3rd /4th tier teams that I start to think he may be on the wind up. As you say though, it adds a good element of colour to the forum and it would be far more boring without his predictions. I think we will win today. I have been impressed by the start we have made and I don't buy into the Derek McIness love in of the Scottish media. St Mirren beat Hearts last weekend and I don't think that was a surprise. 0-1 Motherwell and the Gorgie faithful to start turning on McIness.1 point

Where is Nick just now in terms of fitness...always thought he looked a good player but if he can't demonstrate that to jba because of fitness, it doesn't look good . Robinson didn't look the part for me but seemed to do OK at Dundee.1 point
