I cant believe some of the stuff I am reading seems to me folk cant see progress just want to piss and moan about anything christ we could win the league and Scottish Cup folk would still wet the bed we didn't win the treble. We might not have won anything but give me this season over any season we have had recently that's for sure.6 points

Spot on , my thoughts as well its been a joy to come to Fir Park this season and watch the football we have been playing, long may it continue.4 points

We've gone from winning title chat to struggling to finish 4th. I mean we're still just 5 pts behind Champions League qualification. Long way to go for chat, in both directions.2 points

Crowds haven't gone up this season because we won the cup in 1991. The hope is, if we carry on down this path, success will follow. If someone said we'd have a better chance of winning a cup were Robinson to return, with his footballing philosophy in tow, I'd say, no thanks. I realise some would roll out the welcome mat.2 points

I don't get along to many games now Dave but I'm still Motherwell through and through. Take care .1 point

My view is nothing has changed since 1980...back then fans were wearing flares, now they're throwing them...I've waited a long time for that one. They did blame booze back then, think everyone knows that wasn't a major factor1 point

I don't think that helped Grizzly but I think on the night, Aberdeen would have beaten any 11 we could have fielded. Their luck was in and you simply cannot beat that, no matter how good you might be. Weeyin has just taken the words off my keyboard. You need a lot of good luck to win a cup and St Mirren have that precious quality in spadefuls. It'll take a good but, more importantly, an even luckier team to stop them winning a second cup.1 point

Yesterday’s result was just a huge disappointment even although I’ve been expecting a defeat to come along at some point. When compared to our new normal performances it was not what we’re used to but I give Dundee some credit for that. Fair do’s to the team and JBA for trying different tactics in the second half, much different than how we normally played. Caused a lot of goalmouth scrambles and on another day we might have got a few goals. I thought when we did score we would at least take a point but we were not able to ( or decided not to) switch back to our more controlled game and be patient as there was still 12+ mins to go. We Continued to persevere with the alternate tactics that got us the equalizer. Despite what we consider to be a sub par performance we still dominated the game so, while very disappointing result, I see no reason to change what we have been doing all season and this is just an expected blip in the road.1 point

Both will get fined a small amount and it’ll blow over after a lot of finger pointing as usual. Rangers may get a bigger fine as one of their fat fans wobbled on and had a pop at a Celtic official but sadly… that will be it. Rangers will blame the schools system and things will role on to the next poisonous encounter. my main take from that game was Celtic made almost zero chances in 120 mins and their injury position looks bad so this bears well for Saturday.1 point

Ok somehow I missed the majority of Celtic masked fans but I’d still apportion punishment not based on number of fans on the field but how far they went from their end. wither way we’ll have to wait and see if the SFA do SFA or actually take some action.1 point
-
Because from what I saw one group was worse than the other. Both clubs need to be punished but I’d say Ramgers should be more severe than Celtics1 point

Really??? That’s your argument? We’re heading into the “if yer pal jumped aff the bridge, wid you”?1 point

2 groups of sub humans. It’ll now be a 2 week borefest of whataboutery from both sets…… a bit like MJC’s post above.1 point

He is a decent enough player, but well past his sell by date at premiership level and will be away come the summer. If he still wants to play i reckon it will championship or league 1, but why not pursue a media career, hell probably earm more cash with less stress.1 point

Disgraceful scenes at Ibrox. Mainly Ranger's fans but some Celtic fans on the field too. the SFA need to hammer this behavior but they probably won’t.1 point

We will now learn a bit more about the character of this squad with regard to how they react to this setback. They have been nothing short of magnificent this season and I have faith that they can collectively bounce back and produce the form they have shown for the past few months. Keep the faith and continue to learn and improve, one game at a time.1 point

Ive never been in the camp that we could win the league , you just needed to look at our remaining fixtures before today and we' realistically needed to win 9 of our remaining 10 games. That meant winning at Celtic Park, Tynecastle , Ibrox , Easter Road and Celtic and Hearts at Fir Park , In no world was that EVER going to happen.1 point

We were miles off it today unfortunately Bringing on the big man at half time was the right shout, but uv got to give him something to attack in the box just a bad day at the office in a great season Might be in the minority but I wouldn’t swap St Mirrens cup for the entertainment we’ve produced this season1 point

No team deserves anything, but they did what we couldn't do scored twice. Simples really.1 point
-
Yes. Because you can go through your whole life and see your team winning nothing of note. St Mirren supporters will remember winning the cup for the whole of their life. Just like those who saw us winning in 1991.1 point
-
They scored twice, had the ball in the net but fortunately for us it was offside. They also rattled the underside of the bar. So obviously they deserved the win.1 point
-
Dundee got their tactics spot on …..leaving both wings open and encouraging us to try and play through the middle……we never took advantage of this and unfortunately lost a soft goal…….the second half was better when we did have bit of width and failed to take our chances and lost the second trying to win the game We need to start having a shot instead of trying to score the perfect goal / walking the ball in the net Some of the pish spouted at the final whistle and on here is beyond belief ….we lost our FOURTH league game of the season FFS !!!1 point

Today. Dundee had just over 30% possession. They scored twice. Had a goal chalked off for offside and hit the underside of the bar. That's being efficient. Too many times we don't turn possession and touches in the opposition box into goals. We need more strength in the midfield to win tackles. Too many times Dundee easily won the ball in the midfield and broke forward. We need to find ways to win scrappy physical games. The balance between finesse and strength is not quite right. We are a better footballing team than Dundee for sure but we need to add some physical strength.1 point

I agree with most of that Jim but in the cold light of day this team is excellent but simply not good enough to win silverware. Or, should I say, lacks the necessary qualities. Margins are thin, but but good football alone wins nothing. Lets just enjoy the football and irrespective of whether we end up 4th or 5th it will have been a great season and gives us hope that we can improve for next season.1 point

Ifs buts and maybes, sentimental pish, we are having a great season and its not over yet, so lets all get behind the team ans see where we end up.1 point

Poor performance. Did we have a shot at goal apart from free kicks? To be honest you could have subbed anyone today. Maybe some of them like Maswhansie and Just believing the press hype that appeared this week with talk of big moves. I am afraid that Dundee wanted it more and thoroughly deserved the win. That's three times we have bottled it when it really mattered. Twice in the cups and then today. Had to feel for Priestman. Comes on as a sub and then gets subbed. Especially when Just was screaming to be subbed today1 point
