I may have got caught up in the emotion of the game but I couldn’t contemplate throwing any criticism at the players just now. I thought we were excellent, the players ran themselves into the ground and the last two performances against Rangers and Celtic have been miles ahead of the insipid performances that we’re routinely watched for much of the last 10 years. Full credit to Kettlewell and Frail for that. No harm to Theo who did well but we’re a proper striker away from being a right good team. Devastated today, that was up there with Kane in 2017 for me. Onto Livingston though, we need to return to gaining points rather than prolong a hard luck story.16 points

Thoughts and Prayers to the person having urgent medical attention in the Cooper at full-time. Regardless of our pain at how the game played out, it is and always will be, just a game. Up the Well.8 points

Brilliant performance in the second half especially really enjoyed the game . End to end stuff. Gutted about the result but to blame SK for anything is pretty poor , he set up the team well and nearly pulled it off. If it had ended 1-1 all the posts would have been about how well we played. Remember how much money that Celtic team cost compared to us. Sometimes a bit of perspective is needed. But i do get a laugh at some of the post tho.2 points

I'm confident that SK knows where we went wrong today and will work to address that. Striking problem is mainly out of his control. We can't say that of quite a few previous managers.1 point

Between last week and today we gave a good account of ourselves, were sitting in a decent position in the league with winnable games coming up and some players back from injury in the not so distant future so we're going along nicely.we deserved something from the st mirren game,we got beat last week with a lucky deflection and today was gutting at the end, hopefully with a bit of luck we can turn games like those in our favour going forward.1 point

Yeh im not going to lie, I was a little salty and whiney in my previous post today, But a lot of good came from today and last week, If you offered me last season to be battling Celtic & Rangers toe to toe and only be losing by one goal i would have ripped your hands clean off, It was mostly the players today i felt sorry for, They definitely deserved a draw and a point but whats done is done, Both ugly sisters out of the way and 3 winnable games coming up. Onwards and upwards, Will still be taking my Motherwell towel to spain next week 😎💛1 point

SK taking stick for not having signed a good striker. It might be that Berith is that striker but he got clogged and not many teams are going to have another prolific scorer to take over from the main guy.1 point

Agree with the post. My mate and i were talking about the money gap that gives that mob a big advantage over the whole league. Thought it was a good game and we did well to limit Celtics chances. We have no real proven scorers where Celtic can field 3/4 every game with another few on the bench. No benefit in blaming individuals as we gave it our all.1 point

Bair over Shaw in our system, new signing and want him to do well but so far, ineffective and powder puff.1 point

I think he made a mistake by not refreshing the midfield with about 20 minutes to go. Slattery and Miller were out on their feet and most fans thought that Celtic would come at us strongly in the closing stages. No one's perfect; everyone makes mistakes. He's young enough and bright enough to learn from that. To put that into perspective we're doing well and he's doing really well. We've just played the 4 best teams in the league. The next few games will be a test as to how we react. The encouraging thing for me today is that, apart even from our weakened strikeforce, we could have played better especially in defence. Butcher and Gent have still to reach fitness and have yet to come in. Given the players we had at our disposal I reckon we were at 80/85% of our potential. Defensive errors let us down.1 point

I think Bair had supporting midfielders arriving but by time Shaw was on he was totally isolated with midfield run in out of steam. I’d like to see them switch roles and start Shaw to see how he does with more time on the field.1 point
-
I agree but Shaw is, on today's evidence, not the answer if we're playing the system with four supporting midfielders and one striker. Obviously fitness is a factor when you've been chasing the ball all.game but it did seem like the ball stopped sticking up front when Bair went off. The pressure felt that bit more relentless and Shaw was losing possession a bit more easily than Bair...1 point

We equalised after they were subbed. What did they have to do with the goal we lost after that?1 point

Rarely have I been more infuriated by a result. I can only say what I saw at the match. First of all don't let teams cross the ball into the box in the 97th minute If you do everyone in that box needs to try and make a contact and everyone left it. We've put in a really great performance today and then just thrown it away because we couldn't defend for 2 minutes. Football simply doesn't exist for the rest of the weekend. I am fucked off.1 point

Have a look at yourself and stop posting pathetic shite, Kelly had a brilliant save at 0-0, point blank range from the header, their 1st goal was mugabi's fault he left it, and the 2nd had feck all to do with Kelly either so stop talking shite I know it's difficult for you but make an effort.1 point

This is the worst Celtic and Rangers have been in years, If ever there was a time to beat them in was now. Will most likely go back to losing 3/4 - 0 next time round.1 point

Gutting. You just seen it coming, midfield as good as we were, were knackered. Needed freshened up and we just panic and sit too deep. gutting…1 point

To be fair the last 2 games have been far more competitive than I’ve seen for over a decade against the old firm won’t be overly critical , we’re working well as a team1 point

We’ve played well today but as I said last week if you can’t put the ball in the net you don’t win football matches.1 point

Classic example there. Gets it in a good attacking position, fucks it and ends up booked. He is killing us in possession every game.1 point

Paton’s been the best player on the park. Absolutely outstanding 45mins. We are playing well again and unlucky not to be in front1 point

Thank god Kettlewell & Paton share the same agent and we lazily signed him, he's class.1 point

I don't think Bair is an 'out and out striker' as you say. He can't be when he doesn't score. I do agree that he is a target man who brings others into play, so fair play to him on that front. Edit: It he scores today, I’ll concede that he’s the greatest striker since KVV.1 point
-
Neither McKinstry or Tierney were out and out strikers .Bair is. He's a target man. A big hard working lad who's putting in 100%. I very much doubt he's a long term solution but full credit to any player who does their best every time they pull a Well shirt on.1 point
-
Because he is a big battering ram that holds the ball up and occupies centre halves to allow our midfield to get into advanced positions. Neither Tierney or McKinstrey could do that.1 point

As long as he doesn’t have a reaction to his Egyptian garlic kebab. 💩1 point

I do agree that our awful record against both of the ugly sisters is in large part down to mentality. However, I dont agree that we showed that mentality last season at Celtic Park when we got a draw, and I dont agree that we saw that mentality on Sunday. These performances, and particularly Sunday were very different, and that has to be down to SK. He clearly sees EVERY game as a chance of 3 points and has the team approach it that way. On Sunday we were just unlucky. If we continue to show the same mentality against the big 2 going forward, our results against them will improve. They will still win more than us as they have bigger budgets which should dictate better players. But our win ratio should improve. Thats why I expect us to play well again on Saturday and not get rolled over. We still may not win, but we will be closer to it than we have been in manys a year.1 point

The second one he only has to come off his line and catch it inside the 6 yard box. First one he watches it go right by him. He's a bottler which is why Clarke won't play him. A good goalie for us but any time the pressure is on he buckles.0 points
-
It was actually a very good team performance but we can’t defend and we can’t score goals. That’s why we lost. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t see us beating either of them ever again.0 points
-
If you've got a shitebag keeper who won't come off his line you have no chance. The first one he does his old trick of dropping onto his knees before the ball is anywhere near him. Second one he just hid. Pathetic from a supposed captain.0 points

Easier to take than defeats against Sevco and St Mirren though. We blew it simple as.0 points
