  1. Only if it's a "development loan" or whatever they're called these days, I think. Otherwise, I think you can only recall for emergency cover.
  2. Dunno, but there's the club's commentary on the internet if you have access: https://t.co/Q43pSkC3Mq
  3. Yep, resigned after they were relegated.
  4. Bit concerned from his interview that it sounds like a rather hasty appointment, but there are certainly worse places he could be learning the job. Hope it works out.
  5. Needs a minor op for an injury he was struggling with prior to yesterday, expected to miss first three league games.
  6. Home and third kits launched today, with Motorpoint as the new shirt sponsor. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2016/07/08/new-201617-macron-home-third-kit/ Multi-coloured logo in the claret band doesn't really work for me, tbh...as long as there needs to be something there, white and/or amber only looks classier. But I won't be buying one at my age anyway
  7. Yep Click your username at the top left, then "Manage Ignore Preferences".
  8. We also have a new media guy, Lewis Irons, to "finally replace" 'Flow.
  9. John Porteous back with us in the meantime.
  10. You could say that...I was rather hoping they'd get pumped, to be honest
  11. It was? Anytime I turned over, it just looked Italy couldn't really be arsed.
  12. A quick look at last season's fixtures shows they did have to go to West Ham on a Monday night... but other than that their midweek away games were all in the North or the Midlands.
  13. Thought they were going to boycott everyone who voted them down anyway? Couldn't really care less, long time since most Rangers or Celtic games have been a sell out at Fir Park so any loss will be a lot less than it used to be. Won't miss them a bit.
  14. Dare say McGhee had a few words in a few ears down there at his old club too, might have been able to talk him up and push the price up a bit...
  15. Plus we'll probably have to pay to fence everyone in again at the end.
  16. Expect that will partly depend on the weather over the coming weeks, but they did get to start a week early, so fingers crossed.
  17. They have a strange idea about karma. A pre-season win in a diddy cup would hardly be payback for being dumped back into the first division for another year.
  18. Actually, when you put it like that, it doesn't sound as bad as the official spiel about getting a 'bonus' point for winning a shoot out. Still don't really like the sound of it, though.
  19. They've certainly claimed this in the past, though even pubs have WiFi these days so maybe they just need to add it to the list when they're looking for suitable venues. (It's certainly surprising that the Millennium Suite doesn't have any kind of reliable internet connection in this day and age, if indeed it doesn't -- that surely limits the type of groups who might otherwise be interested in booking it and bringing money into the club.)
  20. I'd have no problem with it being on an unsupported basis (at least for the first few times until they iron out any problems), i.e. if it works it works; if it doesn't and we miss half of it, then too bad but at least they made an effort. No need to have a helpdesk running at the same time Given all the options available for streaming and videoconferencing these days, mind you, I wouldn't have thought Periscope, presumably using somebody's phone, was necessarily one of the better ones. (Chances of them streaming the whole thing in portrait mode...?)
  21. Pretty much this. The team as a whole have gone down as legends and we'll remember all of them, maybe Maxwell more than any of them, all as long as we have our faculties. Maybe the club could have dealt with Ally a bit better at the time, maybe it couldn't, but I don't think any one of them deserves any more or less recognition than any of the others 25 years on.
  22. Haven't listened to the podcast yet, but wasn't he only at the club for 8 years (if you don't count being in the FP Boys Club, which I didn't think you usually did for testimonial purposes)? Either way, from what I hear about his dad from my dad, I suspect it's probably him who wants the testimonial more than Ally does!
  23. Just posting the minutes of the AGM afterwards would be a start. Even our local residents association can manage that every year.

    Mark McGhee

Pretty much what I just said to the guys here at work (in Dublin)...
