  1. We did, but iirc we'd also voted in favour of that change so we couldn't really complain.
  2. Definite penalty, and totally unnecessary from Gomis... Johnson was just about to clear it.
  3. It's been poor, but wouldn't be the first time we've turned it around against Celtic after a poor first half. Could do with Skippy focusing on the game rather than moaning about everything, though.
  4. This. If we miss out on top six at this stage it'll only be because we failed to take any points from the (likely) league champions, after an unexpected run of victories. Annoying of course, but it'll hardly be a case of having thrown it away.
  5. They certainly did. Though I suspect they may also have worn it since.
  6. Fan ownership is not the same as 'fans running the club'. Of course qualified people need to do that; in a fan-owned club, it just means that fans' representative(s) on the board theoretically help to decide who those people are.
  7. I imagine he'll say they'll be organising a Q&A evening soon to answer all our questions (provided we can attend in person, and don't expect them to ever post any minutes anywhere, let alone stream it live).
  8. Blades fan's comment from earlier this month: "Looks like (Hibs) got off lightly there, not signing him. He's a funny little player tbh. He does have a very nice burst of speed and injects some urgency into the midfield - moves the ball quickly - which is great. But he's always getting knocked off the ball and spends most of the match on his ass." http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/hibs-cool-interest-in-sheff-utd-s-stefan-scougall-1-4017847

Pterodactyls aren't even dinosaurs, they're pterosaurs. (And pretty much unrelated to birds, which existed at the same time.)

You could say that about pretty much every manager we've had since I started following Motherwell 40 years ago, mind you. Billy Davies and Terry Butcher have had about three decent seasons between them elsewhere, and that's about it.
  12. Yep... and yet, it doesn't really seem to happen anywhere else. All they can really do is not send the players out for their lap of honour at all if people go on the pitch, rather than just waiting until the pitch is clear... after a year or two of doing that, folk might start to get the message. (On the other hand, they might decide it's still more fun to go on the pitch than to stand around clapping for ten minutes...)
  13. And where are we going to find that? The club was for sale and available for years to any such group, and nobody wanted it.
  14. One can only hope that was the plan all along, and that it'll turn out to have been a fine piece of man management. But I hae ma doots.
  15. Yes, we can recall him anytime we like.
  16. Certainly carved himself a niche in our history books, but was always going to find it hard to focus on getting back in the first team after his off-field shenanigans.
  17. Only if the referee considers the contact was made "carelessly, recklessly or with excessive force". And they're all pretty vague terms that basically mean we're always going to have annoying inconsistencies and bad decisions. (Since the only one of those three that results in a caution is being "reckless", we can only guess that's what the ref thought on this occasion... unless Cadden was just booked for complaining, in which case, he might just have been "careless"...)
  18. To be honest, the first time I watched it, even having heard it was never a penalty and expecting that to be clearly the case, it did look to me like Holt kicked the ball, and Cadden kicked Holt's foot. Totally unintentional though it was, and as much as a meal as Holt made of it, if that's what actually happened then I suppose it was technically a foul, albeit an incredibly soft one.

  20. That's always the annoying thing though, isn't it... an English Premiership team would probably always pay more for a Championship or League One player than they'd pay for that same player from a Scottish Premiership team, just because transfer fees down there are so grossly over-inflated.
  21. I agree there's no reason whatsoever for them to acknowledge it, but given that Eddie Howe played in the same Bournemouth team as our assistant manager for six years, it's certainly not impossible that they still talk and that Marvin has come up in conversation.
  22. I see big Esteban has scored 22 goals in 19 games so far this season. Mibbes we should get him back
  23. To be fair, I seem to remember he was regarded as having a ton of potential when he joined us... for whatever reason, he just never showed any of it.
