And that sounded more like it hit off him.
-
Don't think any of our lot have had a shot yet, let alone Murphy.
-
I dunno, just seems like he'd cost us more in wages than we really ought to paying out when we have so many other options in midfield right now, and I can imagine a bigger club coming in for him once he's fully fit. But of course, if others decide to leave in January, it could be a different story.
-
Let's not forget Hughes has only signed for a grand total of six weeks at this point. Personally I'd be slightly surprised if he's still here after that, so if I was those other guys I wouldn't be too concerned just at the moment. With a bit of luck, Hughes might teach Forbes a thing or two before leaving us again in January -- win win

Always a tough call to compare players, even in the same position. But I'd say as well as having the qualities you need in a full back, Rab McKinnon was probably the most exciting to watch (in my time as a 'Well fan) out of that lot, and was even know to score some decent goals, so I've gone for him. Tom Boyd a very close second though... a bit classier, and his partnership down the left wing with Coop was something special. I'm also just a wee bit too young to really remember Joe Wark properly, but I'm sure he'd be right up there if I did.
-
I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a bit of both (at least once they start charging full price)... would be an awful lot of effort for virtually no benefit if all the money was going straight to the Perform Group. Although even then, it could certainly be that MFC need a certain number of subscribers to break even, which would be another good incentive to get yourselves signed up now
-
There's an interview with him about it on MFC TV, too.
-
The link in my post suggests otherwise... "our licence tariff for sports events, Tariff SE, is used to assess music use leading up to and within an event (including boxes). Charges are tailored to reflect the amount of music played and the number of admissions to each event." As well as music played over the PA, that page also says that payment may also be required for music that a sports venue plays in its "pubs, bars, restaurants, changing rooms, corridors and foyers", and even the "on-hold music" on its telephone system.
-
I'd imagine playing the same stuff every week makes it a lot easier to complete the PRS tariff form every year...
-
It'll be more than that if you give up -- doesn't the subscription renew automatically every month unless you (manage to) cancel it?
-
Not claiming this is a foolproof fix, but after a couple of failed attempts to play the Darren Randolph video there, I logged out and back in to the MFC TV site, and it played first time.
-
Did you ask him how we managed to win 11-2 on corners with all those people behind the ball all the time?
-
Sometimes it works for fine for me, sometimes I have the same problem as you, regardless of which browser I use (mostly it's Safari on my Mac, latest Flash plugin)... no discernible pattern as to when it works and when it doesn't. Suggests there's still some gremlins at their end to be ironed out.
-
Nobody batters them, but obviously Celtic have been dropping points left right and centre this year, Falkirk have papped Rangers out the cup, St. Mirren deserved at least their point off them the other week etc. Given the comparatively good few years of form we've had, it's just irks me how comparatively few points we seem to have chipped off them.
-
To be fair, they keep on the bench because when he plays from the start, he's pish. That he's only started 3 times for Northern Ireland as well says it all, really. Reasonable effort by the lads today, but still annoyed that poorer teams than us seem to manage to raise their game more often than we do against the OF in recent years. Maybe they just have further to raise it, of course
-
If you were really desperate, you could install an app like iSwifter or Skyfire on your iPhone, which allows some Flash playback in a slowish, roundabout sort of way.
-
I'd be more concerned that he seems to be morphing into Mark McGhee.
-
This phrase has been trotted out about Rangers and Celtic every time we've played them for at least the past five years. Wonder if this'll be the season that it actually makes the slightest bit of difference...
-
It's always worth watching the highlights on the BBC website even if you do watch Sportscene -- the website highlights are often a minute or two longer, and sometimes even have completely different commentary. (Not necessarily better, mind you...)
-
I'm not overly optimistic about a result either, just because we seem incapable of turning in the sort of performance against the OF these days that all the other SPL teams seem to be managing. But fair point about all the pressure being on Celtic -- I suspect their fans will turn on their own team pretty quickly if we can keep them out for the first 20 minutes or so (or even nick an early goal), and that could play into our hands. Right now we're also in the habit of not losing, of course, which is never a bad thing either.
-
I'm too lazy for that to be useful though, I just want a direct link to each new video that I can click if I'm interested EDIT: The 'fishel Twitter feed and the RSS feed on the main site are actually doing not a bad job of highlighting new content on the MFC TV site for now. But I'd still trust an automatic feed a bit more not to miss anything...
-
And great to see video of today's goals up there already, a day ahead of the BBC highlights! Would really like an RSS or automated Twitter feed for everything that goes up, though... the content's going up so thick and fast that I already feel like I'm probably missing stuff.

Hypothetically, a jolly policeman would come along and ask you if you'd be so kind as to refrain from imbibing until you'd detrained, as there are some nasty football fanatics on the train who can't be trusted when they get a sniff of McEwans.
-
Can't argue with your second bit. But I guess from the club's point of view, once the police have decided that there's no drink allowed for whatever reason, valid or daft, fans ignoring it and drinking anyway doesn't really do the club any favours when dealing with the police in future, and more than likely means they'll be even more strict about enforcing a bevvy ban the next time.
