  1. I'd be more concerned that he seems to be morphing into Mark McGhee.
  2. This phrase has been trotted out about Rangers and Celtic every time we've played them for at least the past five years. Wonder if this'll be the season that it actually makes the slightest bit of difference...

    Sportscene

It's always worth watching the highlights on the BBC website even if you do watch Sportscene -- the website highlights are often a minute or two longer, and sometimes even have completely different commentary. (Not necessarily better, mind you...)
  4. I'm not overly optimistic about a result either, just because we seem incapable of turning in the sort of performance against the OF these days that all the other SPL teams seem to be managing. But fair point about all the pressure being on Celtic -- I suspect their fans will turn on their own team pretty quickly if we can keep them out for the first 20 minutes or so (or even nick an early goal), and that could play into our hands. Right now we're also in the habit of not losing, of course, which is never a bad thing either.
  5. I'm too lazy for that to be useful though, I just want a direct link to each new video that I can click if I'm interested EDIT: The 'fishel Twitter feed and the RSS feed on the main site are actually doing not a bad job of highlighting new content on the MFC TV site for now. But I'd still trust an automatic feed a bit more not to miss anything...
  6. And great to see video of today's goals up there already, a day ahead of the BBC highlights! Would really like an RSS or automated Twitter feed for everything that goes up, though... the content's going up so thick and fast that I already feel like I'm probably missing stuff.
  7. Hypothetically, a jolly policeman would come along and ask you if you'd be so kind as to refrain from imbibing until you'd detrained, as there are some nasty football fanatics on the train who can't be trusted when they get a sniff of McEwans.
  8. Can't argue with your second bit. But I guess from the club's point of view, once the police have decided that there's no drink allowed for whatever reason, valid or daft, fans ignoring it and drinking anyway doesn't really do the club any favours when dealing with the police in future, and more than likely means they'll be even more strict about enforcing a bevvy ban the next time.
  9. And how would clubs make up the lack of TV money that would result from this 'silver bullet single solution', given that they couldn't show any games live any more? I very much doubt the likely slight increase in gate money would cover it...
  10. I had that problem at first..,. thought it wasn't going to accept my Irish number, but turns out it was just very fussy about the format and the error message was useless. For UK mobile, has to start "+44", or for my Irish one, "+353". It won't accept a number without the leading plus sign, or with the (more internationally-recognised) "00" instead.
  11. According to Wikipedia: Hughes: 19 goals in 257 appearances (0.07) Lasley: 13 in 265 (0.05) Jennings: 8 in 222 (0.04)
  12. Certainly seems to be according to 'Flow on Twitter... dunno when, though. "May sound daft, but today is a big/proud day for me. 4 years in the making, MFC TV launches today. Not finished article, but we'll grow it!"
  13. Hmm, still working here, needs Flash though.
  14. We (hopefully) won't need a full season out of him, he was only really signed as cover in the first place.
  15. I know, calm down, I was only stirring (Although I don't think Sky Sports is worth paying even £12 a month for, myself... plenty of other things I'd rather spend £150 a year on.)
  16. Of course, maybe if the folk who could afford Sky Sports spent the monthly sub on going to Fir Park instead...
  17. W00t! Now, what's the chances of an Apple-launch-day-style server collapse after five minutes?
  18. Foul and abusive language (or even gestures) are a straight red card offence, so unless Jenno was sent off before he'd even opened his mouth, and never uttered so much as a tiny little "fuck" when he did, sadly the ref is in the clear... save for his inconsistency at not sending off everyone else who swore at him during the game, at least.
  19. Only if they think he did anything illegal, which seems unlikely, however 'criminal' his performance was that night. If they've been investigating for a year, I'm sure they'll already have spoken to him.
  20. Purely hypothetical of course, but if Jim could've worked half the managerial miracles at Fir Park that he did at Tannadice, he'd probably have knocked Tommy's achievements into a pokey hat. So on that basis, I'd have been more than happy to have Jim instead of Tommy.
  21. Certainly sounded like Law was the player who was seeing most of the ball today, from the number of mentions he got in the commentary.
  22. Well, if you look up in the Shoutbox, the "full time" celebrations don't start until 1656! (Well okay, I stand corrected, 1655...)
  23. To be fair, at 1656 that was technically true, as we were still playing.
