  1. Absolutely gutted that our first semi in years and me and my 2 sons are on hols and not at game .I just think we r going to do it as can't see us losing. also some hibs fans in our hotel and ill be cheering them on as well. fk the Glasgow teams. c'mon the Well!!!@@
  2. Alan Campbell is a true midfield warrior of days gone by. He loves a tackle which me and all fans love plus he is always available for a pass. Our midfield today especially 2nd half for a bit with Campbell McHugh and bigi were very dominant. I know it's early but I'm excited
  3. Agree with most on here.county were not far off taking the piss in the 1st half their defenders and keeper were passing about at will and our centre midfielders were nowhere to be seen.campbell coming on and caddden on right with bowman in the middle with louis gave us miles more.campbell loves a tackle and always gets to be available. Fisher as someone else said is not a left mid and I felt a bit sorry for him.louis is trying now to be a bit of a superstar I feel rather than doing what hes been great at last 2 seasons which is staying in the middle and getting on the end of others work. All in really happy with the win and dunne henaghen and kipre are all big strong defenders who I feel will improve all the time with games.

    Assistant Manager

Las as well as our other old timers are in my opinion the reason behind us staying in the league these last 3 years as well as the bedrock for our success the 6/7 years before. Stability means a lot in football and you only have to look at some other big city teams who have been relegated and also nowhere near our finishes in league. This jobs for the boys patter is pish and I for one am well chuffed we still have him.Hammell.mcmanus.craigan etc I hope we keep for a while to come.
  5. what about David Templeton at accies? I don't know his situation there but if seen him on tv last few weeks and he looks dangerous. him and ohalloran would give us good attacking options. when moult goes however we need a centre forward really badly.
  6. I feel he is trying same formation as last time the difference I also feel is last time mcormack and Clarkson were really comfortable coming off wing with Porter also not bad but better in middle. moult bowman and mcdonald are all better in middle and struggle coming off the wing. Moult and Mcdonald in middle for me with 4 behind them with Cadden and ainsworth wide.2 centre mids however well that's another story. Lasley has been nothing short of magnificent for us over years but if wants to stay in team his game needs to be sitting only. he sometimes forgets he's 37 I think.last night we could have won as others say goals change games and if their keeper hadn't made that save it's a different game
  7. totally agree ya bezzer. of course you cant compare thomas with faddy in terms of career but the boy has it as faddy did and they are similar.faddy was stronger on the ball and that may hinder dom but do not doubt he has got it.
  8. Thomas i feel has it no doubt.he just needs a light bulb moment in big league to give him confidence. He is a game changer but does not have confidence yet. It took faddy till his 2nd season if i remember correctly and he was 21? When he left for everton so fingers crossed for dom.
  9. If marvin goes which is a possibility i see ross county are maybe getting gary mackay steven on loan i think that would be great for us. I know hes from up there but hes obviously been living in or around glasgow for a while so less disruption for him. Anyone think the same?
  10. Pure embarrassing imo. whingin about not being able to play them more often.no wonder a lot on here dont go as we are always pandering to them and always will it looks like. As someone said before I thought after playoff game we would take control everytime we played them but hasnt been the case and never will unfortunately.

    League Cup 2016/17

I'm not trembling. Who said I was trembling? Stick to what I said. I said it was the toughest possible tie in the group outside the Rangers match. Stranraer away is a more difficult task than Stranraer at home. Also tell me all about Stranraer? Stranraer went out the League Cup last season to a 2nd half OG away at Easter Road. A narrower defeat than Dundee Utd and Aberdeen took on the same ground in the same competition. They missed out promotion to the Championship narrowly two seasons in a row, they are closer in quality to Morton than they are Annan or East Stirling. It's not even close. Should we beat them home or away - yes, but it's a game that has more potential for an upset because we are playing the next best team in the ground on their own patch. The original reply was what was the best fixtures we could get, well all I'm saying is these weren't - Stranraer at home, Annan and Ya bezzer you do talk some pish! Away to stranraer lol
  12. Amazed there's even any debate. Luke Watt getting a few games should be far more important to the club than petty matters like £200k and qualifying for European competition. You must be drunk to come out with that. I presume you are at the wind up.we all follow football to experience the joys of victory and for a club like ours there are more lows than highs.I personally dream of getting a real big team in europa league ala inter milan liverpool or someone like that and it can happen.

    Europe

This rhetoric took the joy out of recent European 'campaigns'. Obscure trips to Russia aside, there is income to be made from gate receipts and prize money. That diddy mob from Iceland went on to play Lech Poznan and Inter Milan. That would have been 2 full houses at Fir Park with low travel costs. Add in possible TV income and that would have set us up well for the future. The downside is that our first game would be 30th June. couldnt agree more about sone fans attitude to europe and also the clubs in the last couple of seasons we were in it. we treated it like friendlies which is ridiculous. what is the point of playing football? I was so gutted when I saw the draws the iceland mob got. what an experience that would have been inter milan at fir park and us at san siro. and for all that were in nancy Im sure some would say it was the best 2 days ever supporting the well. yes better than cup final win and we got beat. europe should be magical for us but I feel the club fukd it up a few times with prices. nancy full.odense full when tix were about a tenner I think.levante to qualify for group stages $25 6500 at it says it all I think.
  14. was really open game and some great tackless.lasley off injured was like tackles that used to be the norm.we were better than them and thats not being biased but they looked dangerous as well. mcghee I feel is looking to do what served him well last time with 3 forwards but last time was better with mccormack.clarkson and porter but I hope im proved wrong as our front 3 now look gd. onwards and upwards and gomis was perfect when he came on.
  15. I read a lot on here saying 3pm on a saturday is when games should always be on. I have been going on and off for 30 years since my early teens and that was maybe the case all those years ago but definately not now. as someone said earlier family commitments take over for most at weekends now and i personally think friday nights are great for football. every boys club, amateur and junior team mostly play on a saturday so all those players and their families , friends go to their games.. i am quite sure that a lot of players who play for fun would love to go to more games but cant as they are playing. plus again as someone said the total fkup that was our european campaigns totally scunnered me, some of our managers and players during the last few seasons treated it like pre season friendlies when it meant the world to us fans. i definately cant get excited anymore although last years play off games were magical.
  16. Why is it naievety? He trained them all week and obviously thought that formation could win. Lets not forget it was a team we were playing that we all thoughtvwe could win!
  17. Two different guys at work have had texts saying Paulo Di Canio has thrown his hat into the ring. Might not be accurate but it would certainly be amusing to watch him come in and quell any unrest in the dressing room or anywhere else in Motherwell for that matter i think that would be great he is a nutcase but theres no denying hes a workaholic who if they were open to his methods our players would improve greatly.
