You are correct there is no shortage of good goal keepers out there but most if not all are beyond the budgets of all but a few Scottish clubs. How is blaming Thompson a cop out, his actions changed the game and gave Rangers a massive advantage. It was never a pen or a 2nd booking and anybody who watches the highlights and thinks that McHugh deliberately handled the ball, the main and only criteria to be considered is deluded. No deliberate handball, means no pen and no 2nd booking, so no ordering off. Thompson cost us a chance of getting something from the game, and not for the 1st time, the man is a cheating incompetent prick.

I totally agree with you re McHugh he was trying to block the shot, I mentioned the arm position to try to justify the pen award and 2nd yellow but they fall down on every criteria, apart from 1, ie the ref in my opinion is an incompetent cheating prick.

Deliberate...as per the rules that's the issue for me, did McHugh make a deliberate attempt to catch/handle the ball, did he feck, he was trying to block the shot, so imo it's ball to hand. But that said his arms were well away from the body so not in a natural position. So no deliberate handball, no pen, no 2nd booking, no sending off and possibly a different result at the end. But thanks to Thompson applying the green and blue version of the rules of football, we ended up with a ruined game. This week Rangers allegedly made a complaint about Willie Collum over the Candiaes nonsense, but how many times has Motherwell suffered due to Thompson making a James Hunt of it, St Johnstone game in Perth, League cup Final, and now Ibrox ,but nothing said by the club. Just watched the highlights, don't know why but I did, and all I can say is that prick Thompson ruined the game for us again, A couple of points to note, McHughs 1st booking was a joke Morelos is a diving cheating arsehole. 2nd point the pen was probably justified but could Thompson be 100% sure watching it real time and was it a booking as well , I think not. Still not sure what point you are trying to make re Morrison, players get loaned out 1. To develop them , get game time and come back a better player 2. Because they are on the fringes of the team, not seen as likely to step up and basically surplus to requirements, loan them out and run down their contract at minimal cost to the club . I suspect Morrison is option 2 so simple question if SR called him back and put him straight into the 1st team as you suggest, would he be better than Carson or Gillespie?
