  1. I would not be so sure, football is on a yellow card as it is with the Scottish gov, and the Incompetent tossers running the SFA/SPFL are capable of any ridiculous decision, to get back in favour. Plus once Lawell and the other members of the green brigade get started the cry to call the season will be in full swing.
  2. Agreed re complaining we would only look desperate for the points, and it's a PR battle we would never win. However the whole shambles that this process has been needs to be questioned, that requires all of the clubs to start asking the hard questions of the SPFL / SFA but as we seen too many times it's all prevarication and nothing ever gets done. The SPFL wanted to bring in specific rule changes at the start of the pandemic to ensure all covid eventualities would be covered but the clubs failed to approve them. So until the clubs ditch their own narrow self interests, and get together to address the shambolic governance of the game in Scotland we are going to see this nonsense every season, we are a laughing stock.
  3. Look on the brightside it saves GA having to prepare a pre match motivation speech for the dressing room, just get a copy of the desicion pinned on the wall alongside a photo of Doncaster and the other SPFL tossers, that should get the players fired up.
  4. So the SPFL / SFA are effectivley telling teams then, if your squad is wiped out by covid, and you want to ignore the guidelines and not field a weakened side as you could possibly lose the match, then don't worry. We will do feck all and re-arrange the games for you at a time that suits you, and after a transfer window so you can strengthen the team. It's a feckin embarrassment how incompetent the people running Scottish football are, a total feckin shambles, the club should be all over this decision, but we will be shitebags like all the other clubs and say nothing. Can you imagine the uproar today if one of the ugly sisters had been involved, particularly the green one
  5. What people seem to be forgetting here is that both club admitted multiple breaches of the covid protocols resulting in most of their 1st team squads having to isolate. However both teams still had at least 13 registered players available to play and as per the UEFA guidelines that the clubs signed up to so they should have played both games with the weakened sides as did Celtic this week. However both of them blatantly ignored the guidelines and chose not to play and then tried to blame advice from their local NHS Trust, so in my opinion the 3-0 forfeits are totally warranted and appropriate.
  6. Hopefully it's the full value of the development fee we are due for him.
  7. The truth is he would be an upgrade on most of the alleged strike force we have at the moment watt excepted so 1st to admit he probably could do a job
  8. Given the current form of both teams the 2nd option is the most likely, I would love us to win and end this 18 year winless league run butthe way we are playing just now, I can't see it on Sunday
  9. The so called weakened side they put out was stronger than most people expected, but fair play to them for playing the match. That's what both killie and StM should have done but they chose not to and tried to hide behind dodgy advice from their local health board, so yes I am confident both appeals will not be upheld. But as this is the shambles that is the SPFL / SFA then anything could happen.
  10. Turnbull scoring again tonight, an absolute screamer of a free kick to put Celtic in front.
  11. That's why Scottish football needs VAR to be implemented, then for situations like Saturday it can be looked at by another referee or how many there are in the VAR booth. Then hopefully the very poor refereeing we see week in week out in Scotland will improve, and the likes of Madden, Dallas and Collum etc would finally be in some way answerable for their dodgy decisions.
  12. The incidents with Aberdeen and Celtic earlier in the season, and the latest Celtic one today are totally irrelevant to the St Mirren and Killie games as none of them resulted in matches being postponed. Yes Aberdeen and Celtic obviously broke the covid protocols at some point, so deserve to be sanctioned, but not to the same extent as killie and StM. Those breaches of protocols resulted in games being postponed, inconvenience to us and Hamilton as what was proved to be and admitted by both clubs, a blatant disregard for the rules, so in those cases the 3-0 forfeit was warranted, as both clubs could have played but chose not to. Its their right to appeal but the SPFL /SFA should chase them, but given the governance of the game in Scotland is a shambles they will no doubt reverse the decision and reschedule the games. Which sends the message to the league, ignore the protocols, spread covid, and don't bother fulfilling your fixtures, as nothing will happen the game will be rescheduled so you get away with it. It's a total embarrassment how long this has dragged on for.
  13. I expect the premiership and championship will be next, if things don't improve
  14. Lunchtime news reporting 16 celtic players and staff now self isolating
  15. Given the gov announcement today technically none of the players who went to Dubai are eligible for the game tonight as they should be isolating, but as they probably have 13 registered players who never went they should be made to play. But back in the real world feck all will happen as it involves the ugly sisters. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-55615170 Ignore the above, apparently elite sports stars are exempt from the quarantine rules
  16. That's our main problem though, we defend too deep and the midfield don't get forward to support whoever is up top, so inevitably the ball comes straight back at the defence. We saw it in the last game, held out for over 70 mins but eventually caved in. I hope GA sorts this as a priority so if we are sitting in and being hard to beat we have an outball allowing us to get forward,
  17. Never a pen , a feckin disgraceful decision, no contact by any Motherwell player, Erwin should have been booked for diving. As for "don't blame the ref" why not, he's in charge no where near play, the linesman is even further away, so even if madden gets a call from the assistant, can he be 100% sure and award it, I think not. Simple fact is Madden and the linesman made a rip roaring James hunt of it, but he's in charge so he takes the full blame, sooner we get VAR the better.
  18. Sadly I can only see 1 result in this one, the form Rangers are in ,they will get their mandatory penalty, Mugabi will probably be involved in its award., I hope we keep the scoreline respectable but it will be another defeat I think.
  19. I see GA is up at Pittodrie this afternoon watching our next opponents , how to get a league victory against Rangers after failing for over 18 years, a nice easy one for him then.
  20. Or maybe they are just not that funny
  21. That's not a recent problem we have been crap at seeing games out for a few years now, as you say defending too deep, our game management is shocking, hopefully GA can improve that aspect soon.
  22. He was not in the squad for their 2nd round cup win against Queens Park on Friday night, so I suspect he's not doing that well.
  23. And the relevance to who we get in the 3rd round draw is ?
  24. As I said earlier if we play well today with the same players, SR had obviously lost the dressing room, but long may it continue.
