This, but its only 5 games to go and we can move the discussion to the former players thread.
  2. Would that be the very decent youngsters who are obviously that good that the team they are playing for, are bottom of the league and would have been relegated weeks ago if it had mot been for our generosity and pish play giving them 9 points. We have enough dross in the team just now without bringing more in

It never will be confirmed officially but you don't need to see shite to know its there. Gallacher signed the original deal, then after a decent run of form, International recognition he suddenly thought he was a world star and Motherwell were not good enough for him. So then the toys were out of the pram and he was reneging on the deal and whoring himself to all and sundry to get away. He obviously got his wish re the deal as he had an instant recovery from injury, but the damage has been done, and it's obvious he no longer wants to be at the club, so for me he should never play for us again. All this he's the best defender at the club chat may be true but why play someone who obviously won't be giving his best in case he gets injured and misses the Scotland squad. I would like to think GA had realised the shite Gallacher was up to and benched him accordingly, so for me he should never play for us again, we won't miss him for 5 games and a cup run.

Mysterious injury, row with Clarke and toys out the pram again, or maybe Clarke realises that he's not as good as Gallacher thinks he is. He needs to get used to bench warming, as I suspect he will be doing lots of it for the rest of this season.
  5. If Keane gets the gig I don't see Celtic making much progress as a team, too big a challenge for him, his managerial record is not the best.
  6. So it's Formartine, let's be honest here they are a part time non league side who will only have played 2 or 3 games this year by the time they play us after months of a layoff, so it's a nice easy starter for us, we will pump them. Being Motherwell we will probably do it the hard way but in the end it will be a comfortable win and a place in the 4th round.
  7. For Randolph and Gallacher it's a simple answer, nobody wanted them, as for Campbell I would love him to sign another deal and stay on but I don't think anyone would grudge him a good move in the summer he has earned it.
  8. Accies are at home to Dundee untd 1st game so if they lose and we win, we could be going to NDP ( or whatever its called these days) knowing a win could see us safe and potentially relegate them as a bonus
  9. Agree with that, SOD has been one of the very few players with pass marks this season so far, keeping him for next season would be a decent bit of business.
  10. Totally agree re Gallacher Dave, personally I would have binned him in January. As for SoD you can see his ability but its not consistent but for me his experience and the player we know he can be would be enough for me to warrant a new deal, his influence on some of the younger and less experienced players would be a great asset
  11. My money would be on Gallacher with Polwarth 2nd favourite.
  12. If it had not been for us being so generous and playing so badly against them Killie (6 pts) and Accies (9 pts) would have been relegated weeks ago.
  13. Obviously depending on the contract situation of each player, but for me Carson (assuming Kelly is going back to QPR), MgGuire, Lamie, Mugabi, Crawford, Carroll, Lawless, watt, Cornelius could all contribute. Would love to keep Campbell but think he might want away and if we could get Cole and Roberts on permanent deals that would be a bonus.
  14. When we get rid of the loans and dross we will still have a good core of players to build a team around, so there will be cash available for players maybe even some extra from the board. Developing our own players and recruiring from the lower English and Scottish leagues is our market, so given GA's contacts and experience I am confident we can identify decent players to bring in. Over the years we have brought in some good players, as well as some utter dross but every signing from those leagues is a punt so hopefully GA can find some gems that fit our club and style, as always time will tell.
  15. Lamie for me, thought he was solid all game, seems to be improving with each game
  16. That's the point though GA never had a decision to make, settled team, all playing well, won the last 2 games so no changes required, Gallacher was never starting the game.
  17. Why would GA drop magloire ? His performances in the previous 2 games had earned him the right to keep his place, and there was nothing to suggest he would not have had another decent game. All this crap about Gallacher annoys me, he messed the club about during the January window, trying to force his own agenda and will be away in 5 games time so for me he does not give a fuck about the club. He came on against Hibs and his 1st contribution nearly cost us a goal. If It was up to me he would be in the stands beside Foley and Nolan and never play for us again.
  18. So killie played silky one touch football, building from the back and playing us off the park then....as opposed to kicking it long from the 1st minute, the same way they play every week. We were pish today, gifted them 3 of the 4 goals by shite defending, its no coincidence that's Wright's 1st win, his teams are brutal to watch so yes thank fuck we did not appoint him.
  19. Behave yourself, total shite today but we are currently 8 in front of Accies, 7 from killie and 6 from RC, with vastly better goal difference than Accies and RC, with 5 to play, we are not going down
  20. He also said it was done for European football so that was 2 or 3 years ago killie were last in Europe was it not
  21. Get rid of the plastic from the premiership so Accies 12th and Killie 11th and getting pumped in the playoff would do for me, Ross county is a good away day
  22. Nah, just forgot all about him, but he is a good example of all that's wrong with the selection policy. He's Australian and most of if not all of his football career / development has been outside Scotland, yes he played well in the caps he's had but is that at the expense of purely homegrown talent? Scotland has lost far too many good players over the years, by failing to select good homegrown talent at the expense of fake Scots like McBurney, McTomminay, Che Adams etc. The talents of McGeady, Mccarthy, Ray Houghton, Tommy Coyne were missed due to this approach.
  23. Spot on, Adams harks back to the bertie voghts days, if you had ever eaten shortbread or Haggis you were in the squad, guys like Adams, and Mc Burnie should never be near the squad, never have been and never will be interested in Scotland. Meanwhile we have the likes of Gilmour, Turnbull and a few others playing regularly for top clubs and not getting near the squad.
  24. That strip is truly honking, I know UBH is proud of the mfc script and the work put into it rightly so, but in my untrained opinion it looks naff, the club crest/badge looks a lot better. Replace the black with claret and the blue with Amber, and a club badge and that would be a tidy strip.
  25. Noticed that Turnbull never made the Scotland squad, thought he would be a definite given his recent form.
