  1. The way it's been for us with cup draws in recent years , it would have been guaranteed either Celtic, Rangers or Aberdeen had we got through. I see the ugly sisters got their usual easy ties.
  2. A great pass that led to the goal for Long, given the rest of the shite play on offer, I would say yes it was worthy of a vote for that alone, oh and I never voted for him I went for Gallagher.
  3. A luxury,,,, I feckin wish they were as that implies they have great talent, they look out of their depth at SPL level, but the signs are there that they could come good. I would give them till January before judging them , so hopefully SR can get the best from them.
  4. There is no place on this forum for sensible reasoned posts like this
  5. Given what we have seen in our last 3 games Main and Johnson would be a big upgrade on what we have just now
  6. For me it was either Gallagher or Dunne, both were ok, but went for Gallagher, the rest were brutal.
  7. Agreed, but I would settle for a striker with experience at a decent level, I wonder if Kyle Lafferty is still available, he would do for me.
  8. That's the problem we have, Scott is nowhere near ready for the 1st team, if we had a Moult or a Higdon etc up front with him to keep him right then yes play him and he would develop. But having the likes of Hylton, Seedorf and Cole who from what I have seen so far, look well out of their depth at SPL level, around him is useless , he will never develop. We needed to sign at least one experienced striker, to help some of the other signings but we never did so it looks like a long haul till January and the next transfer window.
  9. Well what a lot of shite that was tonight, beaten by a feckin woeful Hearts side, we were a shambles all over the park. Hylton was brutal, as was Polworth and Seedorf, and as for Scott, he tries hard but he is a long long way off what we need. The midfield was posted missing, we were slow on the ball all night, defensively Tait had a nightmare. I thought when we scored we would go on and put them under pressure as they started to play deeper but it never happened, good goal by long but again I am not convinced by him either. As for Cole he has to be the worst player I have seen at Fir park in a long time he is brutal runs about like a headless chicken. So all told a very bad night, a drastic improvement is required as that was a painful watch tonight.
  10. What a load of negative depressing shite, 2 games in and we are heading for a shit season, it's unreal.
  11. I agree, this has been the same for over 30 years now with no sign of it changing any time soon
  12. In Europe maybe, in Scotland they are the team to beat a class above the rest of the league, so a whole lot better than us.
  13. Probably not but the can make sure that the sponsor knows what standards are expected and advise that appropriate action will be taken against those who for whatever reason cause offence.
  14. The south stand was built for away fans that's all they should get it's not a difficult concept, the rest of the ground should be well fans only, as a fan owned club the WS should be making that point at every opportunity.
  15. Cadden and Gorrin both starting for Oxford today, bizzarely Live score has Cadden listed as right back.

    Striker

Lafferty would be a great bit of business, a definite upgrade on the striking options we have at the moment.
  17. I guess that means the loan deal is off then
  18. FFS people moan when we give them to much respect, now you are moaning when we go at them with 3 up top, it's unreal. We scored 2 against the best team in the country who could probably take 5 off most teams in the league so people need to chill and accept we were 2nd best today but we gave it a go.
  19. What's wrong with that tactic, Barcelona and Real Madrid have used it for years
  20. It's currently 1-0 Motherwell, Jamie Semple after 17 mins
  21. 100 % correct, that's why the system is a nonsense and not fit for purpose, if it's not going to be applied in all levels of Scottish football then it should not be applied at just the too level, and even there it's not applied consistently to all clubs as we know. We have had a disciplinary system in place and working well now since organised football began its called the match officials, i.e. the referee and his assistants, so no need for a compliance officer and all the crap that goes with it. So unless all SFA member clubs decide enough is enough and take on the blazers at Hampden to get a structure in place fit for the modern game nothing will change, and they will continue to run the game to suit there own narrow agendas.
  22. Sending a player out on loan usually means you are not in the plans anymore and will be gone when your contract is up, so PNE might not be too difficult to deal with. That said though would Moult want to come back, not sure, but I would be delighted if he did and SR could sort out a deal. I reckon he would fit in the current team well, knows where the goals are, Scott would learn from him, and we would have somebody up top to take advantage of any balls in from the pace we have on both sides now.
  23. So unless they review every single booking and dodgy challenge over the weekend, how do they become aware of incidents they need to look at unless it been Broadcast and highlighted on national TV, it's trial by TV and the shite spouted by the alleged pundits. The whole system is rotten to the core, the ref penalised the tackle, a yellow card , that should be the end of it, then the TV judges discuss it agree it should be looked at, and hey presto, the compliance officer then decided it's worth a 2 match ban, it's nonsense. Will there be a consistent approach over the season , of course there won't be, but should anyone be surprised it's the SFA, incompetence and self justification is mandatory.
  24. I am not having this " The plastic pitch makes us play badly " nonsense, lots of teams will go there and pump Livi, so stop making excuses for us having a bad game and not winning, we have won on the plastic at Hamilton, Kilmarnock, etc so it was a poor team performance at Livi nothing else, but at least we did not lose .
