  1. Not sure what you are referring to re bigger clubs but my concern is with Motherwell. For 2 or 3 seasons now the club has lacked direction and leadership on and off the park, now that the WS are in control that side of the club seems to be moving in the right direction, and hopefully Robinson's rebuild sorts out the team, but he need help so the AM role is important, that's why an experienced coach/AM is essential, somebody who has worked at other clubs at a similar level, can input new ideas, offer alternatives to the manager etc. Yes Lasley may be qualified, know the club well etc but sometimes it's better to bring in a fresh face with new ideas etc. Lasley may well end up as a great coach / manager one day but here and now i don't think he is what the club needs.
  2. Care to elaborate on which part of a reasonable question you consider to be nonsense?
  3. Likewise with me, but only just in Herons case had only been to a few games with my uncle before he left Mothetwell.
  4. By qualified for you mean he has obtained all of the relevant uefa/FIFA badges / licences if so all the better but if not then what makes you think he would be good for the team as a coach. Faddy knew the club well, and I assume was well respected etc last season and it did not look like it made any difference so why would Lasley be any different. A professional club at our level needs an experienced assistant manager not somenody who is untried in the role. I am not saying he could not have some sort of role coaching wise but not as assistant manager.
  5. If true it seems a reasonable return on what he has cost the club, but what annoys me is that if Heneghan was going to Burnley from another lower league English club the probable fee would be a lot more.
  6. Just when you thought the pre-season signings were going well, this happens. We need an experienced coach to help Robinson not another jobs for the boys appointment like Faddy last season. Still looking o the bright side it might keep him off the pitch.
  7. I see your pre-season talking pish training is going well, keep up the good work.
  8. Just seen the pics on the Twitter feed with the roof off you can see how bad the structure is, I hope they are treating the rust and giving it a new paint job as well.
  9. The pitch looked great after the last game so not sure why it had to be relaid this time, but agreed it looks good.
  10. Lasley is done, been a great servant to the club over the years but enough already dump him tell him he won't be getting a new deal and spend the cash on somebody who will benefit the team
  11. I get the impression that Robinson is putting some thought into what positions need strengthening in the team, 2 of the 3 signings so far have addressed the problems we have in midfield so it looks promising . All we need now is a decent keeper and maybe 1 centre half and a left back and we will be sorted.
  12. As one who does not buy the new strips as they are released do the majority of the well fans care what the strips look like some variation of claret and amber dies it really matter as most fans won't buy them, just my opinion
  13. If he has gained his coaching qualifications then why not, he knows the club and seems to get on well with Robinson. The only condition i would apply is that its coaching only, no playing as he is done and we need to move on and rebuild the midfield for next season.
  14. He has been a great player for the club over the years, Skippy Sunday is up there with my all time top well games and I wish him well for wherever he ends up ( as long as that is not another SPL club). I think he will be hard to replace as we probably won't realise how good a player he was for us until he is no longer at the club.

    Moult.

Not very far and I hope it was a sign of a tougher negotiating policy for future deals. We have let too many players go over the years for crap fees, no add ons etc, so here's hoping we get better at it.

    Moult.

If and when we get an offer for Moult then I hope we don't do our usual and bend over at the 1st 6 figure amount, our record of negotiating decent fees for players is shocking. We took a punt on Moult and it turned out well so I hope that if we don't get a decent offer for him we will at least improve the deal he is currently on
  17. Accies are a shitey wee team with no fans, a crap stadium and pitch that bring nothing to the premiership. If ICT get the result tonight I would "rest' half of the team on sat and hope Accies get pumped again and get relegated

    Lasley.

Not for me, the wages could be better spent on somebody else, he is done constantly chasing the game and diving in, as was seen last night for his booking. He has been a fantastic player for the club over the years but his time has come.
  19. A fecking great 3 points and no automatic relegation assured a good day at the office, coyw
  20. I see McGhee is on the BBC webpage saying that the club were too hasty in sacking him, given recent performances under Robinson he might have a point http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39898359
  21. The BBC gossip page is reporting that Rangers are also interested in Louis Moult as well as Heneghan, story running in the Sun apparently
  22. It's pity we don't have one of those I still say it's the best operating model for a football club.
  23. I see Ross county are cutting the cost of some season tickets after consultation with fans. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-39882137
  24. Lets be Honest if Rangers come in with a bid for Heneghan of £500 K or more if you believe the Daily record, then the financial position we are in we can't turn it down, especially for a player we brought in for next to nothing.
