  1. Think it referred to the last 27 cup games and only 1 victory , so it's now 27-2 get it right up them, coyw
  2. This is a chance to get it right up them and the media circus that panders to them and also get a bit of payback for all those years of not turning up against them, winning by a few goals would be great but I will take an ugly win just as well, don't care if it's a controversial 3rd mins of injury time winner as long as we beat them, we have the squad and hopefully they have the self belief to be winners. Coyw
  3. That's straight red patter, wonder if it was another Cruyff turn
  4. The Rangers team we faced in the playoffs was a shambles, but that said we pumped them, the current team are a much better team than that one but they are average at best, and beatable so another performance like the Aberdeen game and we will be ok.
  5. Craig Clay scoring again for Leyton Orient today, seems to be scoring for fun these days must have found his level.
  6. Yes he was Irish, 29 caps for NI now playing for Nantwich Town, at whatever level they are at. His Wiki page list his last game for Motherwell was the 2011 final, 80th mins sub for Jamie Murphy.
  7. Kipre for me thought he was awesome today nothing got past him, special mention for Bowman and Campbell
  8. That was a great performance today 3-0 flattered Patrick big time, it should have been at least 6. Thought moult was a bit off the pace but Hartley and Kipre were the standouts, nothing got past them all day. As for thistle they were shocking 8 games in and they are already looking like relegation candidates.
  9. That was probably an EBT payment so it did not count
  10. Went for Hartley he had a great game, good awareness of the game and very rarely wastes a pass, special mention for Campbell, still a bit raw but gives 100% every game
  11. To be fair I thought we deserved a point Aberdeen came with the only plan of breaking up the play and going down at every opportunity, route 1 football from the 1st minute, Carson never had a serious save to make. I felt we were off the pace today but created enough chances to get at least a draw, a better ball in from Frear and Tanner had a tap in. At the end Aberdeen were hanging on big time so a bit gutted we got nothing from the game.
  12. Were not having Petras, it's either "Sid" or "The Lithuanian boy"
  13. Had to work tonight so gutted I was not there, but it was quiet so got to watch most of the match, what a performance dominated them from start to finish, Hibs next please
  14. Why should the way the player goes down have any impact on the ref's decision ? If the referee was doing his job competently he should see the initial contact and make his decision based on that, i know its all split second stuff but the defender stood on Tait;s boot / ankle it was a pen every day of the week, so the player doing 3 forward rolls and going down with arms waving about should not matter.
  15. I see the club are appealing Tait's yellow card http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41317812
  16. His wiki page has been updated already Peter Hartley (born 3 April 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Scottish Premiership club Motherwell on loan from Blackpool.
  17. no, the sun is reporting that Motherwell could receive £750K if Johnson goes for £3 million i.e. 25% of the sell on fee, that's what the clause is a % of any future transfers and a bonus on top of what we have already received. So if the rumours are true we got anywhere from £400K to £650K for Johnson so taking the best figures we may end up with £1.4 million in total for a player that cost us next to nothing, a very tidy bit of business if all true.
  18. 2 rumours from the BBC gossip page this morning, Motherwell stand to profit to the tune of £750,000 as former winger Marvin Johnson homes in on £3m switch to Middlesbrough from Oxford. (Daily Record) Ben Heneghan is set to see out the remainder of his contract at Motherwell after the club rejected three bids from Blackburn, while striker Louis Moult is also expected to stay on at Fir Park. (Sun)
  19. We will never know for sure unless the club's go public but was listening to radio Clyde and they mentioned the 10% sell on deal that Celtic had for Van Dijk and how it could be worth 8 mil to them if he went to Liverpool for the reported 80 million, so fairly sure most other deals will be the same i.e. the % of the total new transfer fee.
  20. No it's not the percentage of any future transfer fee negotiated is a percentage of that future fee, i.e. if we got a 25% add on in the Johnson deal and he goes for 2 million then we are due 500k simples
  21. Which goal gets your vote? 1% Eduardo Vargas (Tigres UANL) 5% Frank Nouble (Newport) 1% Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord) 38% Louis Moult (Motherwell) 10% Marco Asensio (Real Madrid) 1% Akindele (FC Dallas) 39% Billy Knott (Lincoln) 1% Enis Bardhi (Levante) 1% Jefferson Savarino (Real Salt Lake) 3% Koke (Atletico Madrid) Louis is catching up, not much in it now, get voting if you have not already done it
