There seems to be this mistaken belief that the reserve team is full of players ready to step into the 1st team at a moment's notice, but if that was the case why are we signing players and spending cash we don't have lots of.
I think the reality is there is nobody in the reserves ready and /or good enough to make the step up to the 1st team, that may change but not now
Stop talking shite, Carson hardly got his gloves dirty before he went off and Gillespie only had 1 or 2 saves to make. Hearts were feckin average at best it was a 0-0 all day long until we gifted them the goal.
Bigi for me, he was outstanding all game, that ball in for mchugh's goal was a thing of beauty, and the corner at the end right into the danger area, superb. Oh and a special mention for Sammon he is feckin awful .
Don't think it's game over yet, we were 2-1 and comfortable then shit defending gives them 2 goals, . giving Lafferty a free header is never a good plan and the least said about the 3rd goal the better. We are still in the game, next goal is massive
Bad news for Jamie Murphy, he is out for the season , more evidence to support the call for plastic pitches to be banned.

No idea what they are called this season Dave, there seems to be a variety of terms used, colts, u20's, u23's, development league team, I just call them the reserves or 2nd team its easier.
FFS the usual suspects are getting the doom and gloom pish in early, just for once try talking up our own abilities rather than all the negative shite about how good Hearts are, any team managed by Levein is suspect irrespective of how good their current form is, they are beatable.
FFS it's a bad game 1 and the pant wetting from the usual suspects is at Tsunami levels, injuries to key players, selling defenders and starting the season away to a very good free scoring team what do people expect.
So we are bottom after game 1 if it the same story in January then panic, but for now wring yer knickers out and calm down.
For me Hartley is the big risk, he was well off the pace at times against Clyde so he might struggle against a fitter and better Hibs side. But as I have said previously he needs game time so I think SR has no option but to play him.
They said after the Clyde game that mchugh's injury was minor so he will start, but I think SR's big decisions are up top i.e which pairing of the 4 strikers to go with, for me it's Sammon +1
Hartley needs dropped...... away and don't talk pish the man needs games he has played twice in 7 months, yes he was at fault today but he needs match time, not sitting on the bench.
