Motherwell are feckin useless at seeing games out, losing late goals to a 37 year old again, 1 would have been bad enough but 2 is a feckin disgrace. Got our goal and then shat it big time seems to be the Motherwell way at Ibrox, that playoff win seems a lifetime ago now. -

If he is fit enough to make the bench he should be starting, as we all know how trying to defend with Moult up front on his own will end up. Looks like the old fear has returned giving them more respect than they actually deserve instead of getting right into them from the start. -
An inform Ainsworth, there is the big problem with him he is far too inconsistent you never get the same player 2 games in a row add that to his distinct reluctance to track back and defend when required and you get a player who at times is not the best asset to the team. Maybe McGhee sees that as well hence the interest in O'Halloran.
-
An official approach has been made to Rangers for O'Halloran guess we have to wait and see http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38690688
-
So am i...shocked it took Oldham 6 months to find them out.
-
His 1st goal in over a year according to the commentary, not exactly a goal machine is he
-
I had to read that twice when i saw it either the reporter does not see too much football or Ipswich are utter dross
-
That's probably the total i.e what we paid for him plus wages, as i recall we signed him on a 3 year deal
-
For me Moult and McDonald will be missed but it depends on what Ainsworth you are talking about, the quick, effective and unplayable when he is in the mood Ainsworth we occasionally see, or the lazy B**t**d, cant be bothered, never tracks back Ainsworth that we are used too, if its the latter then no he wont be missed.
-
To be fair i don't think the result would have changed if Randolph was playing, Man City were just too good for them
-
Motherwell are notoriously bad at negotiating big fees for players so i fear that if an offer similar to what we got for Johnson comes in the we will sell him, which at the end of the day would not be a bad return on a player we did not pay a lot for.

From the SFA, they make no distinction between violent conduct or serious foul play, if its a straight red then he misses next game league or cup 3.8 Serving of Suspensions Suspensions incurred by players shall be served in the competition in which they are incurred and shall be measured by the relevant team of the club (i.e. the team in which the player normally plays) playing the requisite number of matches. The following qualification applies:- A player who is sent off for serious foul play or violent conduct is suspended automatically until such time as his club's team(s) has completed a match in a competition for which he would otherwise be eligible for selection. A player who is sent off for spitting at an opponent or any other person is suspended automatically until such time as his clubs team(s) has completed its next two matches in competitions for which he would otherwise be eligible for selection. (Please refer to Appendix 4 - Guidance Notes on Serving of Suspensions). -
Same here Dave just watched the BBC highlights and i think it was a definite Penalty, defenders arm well behind him so a stonewaller for me, and as for the incident with Skippy and Kurtaj, skippy made the most of it but there looked like there was contact from the defenders hand difficult to tell from the TV angle but it looked like a definite push in the face. How did it look from the stand ?
-
Skippy for me on the 1st half showing he was in the mood and what a goal to equalise, the rest of them were dire.

Sorry but how many chances does Thomas get to prove himself this is the 3rd manager at least he has played under and he has been given opportunities , albeit a few sub appearances here and there to show that he is ready to follow Cadden and make the step up to the 1st team and every time he fails to deliver or show any signs of progression. PS just watched the highlights on BBC and all i will say is that Rooney is a diving B**tard, no contact whatsoever. -

Totally agree re the midfield i am not the greatest Lasley fan but when he went off at half time the midfield went with him we gave an average at best Aberdeen all the time to play the ball about with no pressure on them. The substitutions were dire Thomas can go anytime he was anonymous for 45 mins he wont make a 1st team regular as for Ainsworth up to his usual pish no contribution of any note and a total disregard for tracking back to defend, he was still casually jogging back when McGinn was scoring the 3rd. The next 2 games are massive now 6 points required or its another relegation battle looming. -

enough of the doom and gloom the well at home on a Friday might most folk off for the christmas break, the saturday free for last minute shopping whats not to like -
The whole perfomance plan depends on all of the 42 clubs in Scotland signing up to it 100% most of them probably will but the likes os the ugly sisters and Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs wont as they will continue to do what they want and as the SFA are spineless when it comes to dealing with the ugly sisters they wont do a thing. So i can see McKay having great ideas but nothing will change and he will realise that he is wasting his time as did Wotte and McClair before him.

Over 2 years left on his current contract i would like to think we would start the bidding at 3 times that amount, that would be the sort of cash we could not refuse. -
I thought the thread topic was NL sporting heros with a connection to the club, but if not then i would offer up Matt Busby probably one of the greatest football managers this country has seen. But he already has the centre in Bellshill named after him
-
Johnson starting for Oxford Untd in the FA cup tonight they are away to non league Macclesfield, he has been fairly anonymous so far
-
We can only assume that he was brought in on loan to develop himself and benefit the team as a whole he has never been seen in any capacity so there must be something going on either he is shit which begs the question why was he signed in the 1st place or he has an attitude issue and thats why hes not been seen so in that case safe to assume he will be hunted in January. Either way not a very good signing and seems to be a waste of a wage
