Last week was a surprise but honestly we are feckin hopeless at seeing games out a 92 min equaliser should have been game finished and take a well earned point, but giving away corners and defending in our own half that late in a game is feckin criminal, and allowing feckin Stevie May who would struggle to score in a brothel to get the winner is even worse. Two games in and I am already getting the fear about how this season is starting, anyway rant over I'm away to wring my pants out.
-
Yaaaas get in there 1-1
-
Boyd and McKinnon were decent full backs in their time, Boyd might be an obnoxious celtic obsessed arsehole these days, but he was a decent player back in the day.

That would be a great idea to improve the game in Scotland but it will never happen. The cosy wee cliques that run the SFA are so intent on copying the FA in England there is no chance of a proposal like that being adopted. In all honesty I think the SFA don't give a feck about clubs like Motherwell etc getting knocked out of Europe before most teams are back their holidays, they are quite happy to do all in their power to keep the ugly sisters happy as they keep the coefficient up, and typically have extended runs in Europe every season, so as long as 2 clubs are happy the other 10 premiership clubs get no help at all.
-
That result just highlights how feckin bad and embarrassing we were last weeks, that's what we should have done to them, cost the club a fortune
-
Very few if any on that list that inspire confidence, I reckon we will end up with the cheap in-house option and see Hammell getting the job. If it happens and bookies are seldom wrong he might turn out to be a great appointment but for me it's a huge risk I don't think it's the job for a 1st time manager with limited Coaching experience. But only speculation at this point so let's wait and see.
-
So we had 10 out of 11 (Kelly excepted) players all suffering a slump in form at the same time then week after week, I guess the club was just unlucky then.
-
Nah I'll stick to the "GA was an arrogant hopeless man manager and coach with limited abilities who had no idea how to get us winning again" conspiracy, he's history now so Let's wait and see who his replacement is.
-
How else can you explain it then Watt suddenly wanting a move, SOD getting picked for Scotland and not playing with us, Slattery allegedly injured and not playing for weeks, and then Woolery suddenly fancying a Turkish delight. He lost the dressing room and as I have said his own arrogance and lack of a plan B gave us 3 wins in 14 games thank feck for Lamie we made top 6. Yes this might all be conspiracy theory shite but as we will never know the truth it will do for now

Alexander started well, saved us from going down, last season got us of to a great start in the league, sitting 3rd by Christmas , then it all went wrong, fallouts with senior players , top goal scorer moving to a rival team mid season and our results were shocking, we will never know what started it but for me the dressing room was gone then. Due to other teams being a shite as us we managed to scrape into the top 6 with the last kick of the ball at livingston and eventually claimed a Euro spot. However that only covered up the problems Alexander came across as arrogant and unwilling to change his ways to get results, not playing senior pros ie SOD and generally looking like he did not giving a feck he was out of ideas. In some ways the Sligo defeats as embarrassing as they were done the club a massive favour by finally getting rid of him, because if he had stayed we would be getting more of the same from him this season. So will he be remembered fondly if he ever turns up at Fir park with another team no chance, for me he will be remembered as the manager who ruined a potentially good season by his arrogance and inability to manage a team and got us pumped by an Irish league team.
-
If he had never played for us, would Lambert be getting a mention I think not, the same applies to Valakari , the only ex player who might have been worth a shout this time is Van der gaag if he had been available.
-
Ffs What a lot of meaningless irrelevant drivel what's alleged striker Tony Watt and the guy sims from RC got to do with improving our midfield or lack of wide players.
-
To be fair Given where he has ended up he might have been a decent shout this time had he been available, a good coach by all accounts.
-
FFS we won the game, 3 points , clean sheet, joint top of the league, keeper had a brilliant game etc so yes we played well. Another 38 performances like that and we are champions. So why not just enjoy the win and a great start to the season instead of the constant "we are pish" negative shite you spout.
-
Agree with nearly all of that, apart from "we didn't deserve it " for me if you score more goals than your opponent and your keeper saves everything thrown at him you deserve to win the game.
-
Yaaas full time , joint top of the league
-
Lamie has been sent off ffs
-
Yaaaaas 1-0 KVV
-
2 days of chat on the forum about a new manager and Simo Valakari finally gets a mention, would not have been the same without someone putting his name forward, why people constantly think he would be a good replacement is beyond me, his managerial career is much like his playing one distinctly average at best.
-
Aye getting paid probably 1 to 2k a week for 2 or 3 years at most to move to Scotland would be a struggle right enough.
-
Woolery leaving was a strange one for me, I suspect he was another one who fell out with Alexander, it was all very sudden.
-
The whole team on Thursday night got people out of their seats and up the road back to the pub they were that bad. For me Tierney, Cornelius , SOD, Lamie, Slattery Kelly, Shields and maybe Efford are the players who when playing look capable of creating something or In Kelly's case making a great save. I would also include KVV but he's not consistent enough just now 1 or 2 good games then 3 or 4 where he is anonymous and contributes feck all. The squad has the makings of a decent team so let's hope whoever the new manager is can find the correct balance and get the best from them
-
All the talk about replacement managers, Mcfadden, Craigan, Levein, Barry ferguson and bringing Robinson back is comedy gold. We need an experienced manager with a proven track record who can come in and get the best from the current squad, good coaching and man management skills, and preferably not one of the usual out of work Scottish managers thar get quoted when a job comes up, I even read somebody suggesting Gordon Stachan ffs. So it's up to AB and the board to get this right as he needs to get the team up and running right away as the pre season has been a shambles
-
Get Van der gaag on the phone where's the fun being an assistant at Old Trafford, he could bring Ronaldo on loan
