Except that that wasn't diagonally wide, more diagonally centre. -

Last time there (famous 1-0) bus from station to near ground took best part of 15 minutes so doubt can be walked in 20. Did walk the return journey but since I was staying overnight wasn't in any hurry and didn't time it. IIRC visiting fans were in the most difficult part of stadium for street access. -

If we cast our minds back to the Partick game, which we won of course, the game was in some ways similar. We had a good first half but then totally disappeared in the second just like yesterday. No, there's more to it than just accepting that Celtic would have more in the tank. They are, by far, the most expensive and best team in the league and its no disgrace to have lost to them but the manner in which we did so was concerning. To go 2 goals up and then simply disappear gives cause for concern. I don't think its unreasonable to expect a team to compete, although not necessarily be better than the opposition, for 90 minutes. Every match this season where we have been on top in the first half has been the same. Add Hamilton and Ross Cty to the Partick example. We can get away with it against lesser teams but not Celtic. against the three teams mentioned we could have been punished. Now I can understand this happening in the first 5 or 10 minutes of the second half as we settle again but it seems to be to a plan for all of the second half. Whose? Management or Players. It happens to often to be coincidence. -

I think we would all accept inconsistency but that has not happened due to a youth policy. -
Quote! I think with the amount of complaining that you hear from the English media about price of tickets at an EPL or Championship game as being extortionate. On a game by game basis maybe but there are some good deals to be had, if you are willing to pay for a ST. at West Ham for instance at £289,you are getting some deal, I'd imagine after about 11 home games you'd be quids in and getting entry to the rest for free and that's Premier League games against the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. The £289 ST probably a result of them stealing the stadium. Slightly off topic but for me more revealing was the gap between PL and SPL average wage structures. 150k and 2.5m. and thats including Celtic.

Not sure it is quite a clear as saying society and Club are separate identities. Society own the Club and the Club should report to the society. Same as Hutchison was owner and at the end of the day whats different. Just like him Society can approve or not every decision on finance or other. Or am I being naive?.

Would someone like to explain to this old codger. No on seconds thoughts never mind I am just getting used to using voice recognition text on my windows phone!.

Weeyin showed us the way on the previous page. Now lets all do it. You know it makes sense.

CMWellfan reminds me of a Sales/Marketing guy I had dealings with some years ago when planning some home improvements. He could not believe I didn't decide to buy things on seeing tv adverts or receiving junk mail. Made me feel i was in a minority of one.

Be careful of the conclusions you are drawing from that interview. Not sure that it changes anything from 40/20/40 % Club / Boyle / Huthison deal.
-
I truly wonder how many posters this topic is losing. Is CMWellfan trying to prove his argument?.
-
And all the media can focus on is a certain Celtic player got 26 minutes as sub.
-
Difficult choice with so many on their game. I went for Lucas. On his very limited outings early on pre season knew he could use the ball well. And I think we may have found a left back!.
-
I like the way CMWellfan continues to put forward his opinions as fact. In this instance that £30k is the contribution lost by giving youngsters free season tickets without I assume any knowledge of the detail. Maybe if so rich he can holiday for 6 months sponsoring the free tickets would not be a problem. As said I think on another subject he does come up with some good suggestions but the way that he puts them across raises hackles amongst a lot of posters. I like Daver have delayed joining the Society and I will sign up over the weekend. They are the only Club we have and this is the only option on offer. I also like the thought of being owner, well part owner at least.

No offence meant but I am sorry to suggest that you may be just a little mental over your thoughts on tonight. I really hope it is temporary. That performance was every bit as bad as the displays that got the previous manager sacked. Every one except McGhie knew from last season our midfield was slow and lacked creativity and the signed players since this season are more of the same. I know the talent available to us is limited but we are forcing what we have to play to a system instead of asking them to play to their strengths. That system seems to boot the the ball up to two strikers more in hope than anything else. Now I bitterly detest that style and to be at all successful needs fast supporting midfield that will pick up the scraps that will be available against physical defenders. In nearly 60 years plus of supporting Motherwell tonight was the first time i can remember leaving before the end and worse wondering if Saturday is worth the effort. -

I think he has filled out a bit over the last 12/18 months. Unfair to compare with Cadden, far different starting point. -

I take it that is directed at me. Not unhappy at all but it has to be seen that we made it much harder for ourselves than it should have been at 3 up. -

Churlish or not I will nit pick.In the first 30 mins or so we could have given Barca a game . After that a lazy header by Tait created the opportunity for Crawford. Don't know if Lasley was fit after last week injury, he was knackered by half time. Defensive right side gave Accies the freedom to attack at will and we were lucky a couple of times. Bowman doesn't have the pace of Johnson but he uses his physique well, is not knocked of the ball so easily and looks as if he is comfortable with the ball on the ground. Would be nice to see how he performs with the service Moult had. -
We have to take what McGhie and most football managers quotes with a ton of salt. Warburton "no gulf in class" Rodgers "not embarrassed" Conte "Diego Costa needs protection from the refs" are three that come to mind this week alone.

Surprised McCloy hasn't been mentioned. Am I right in thinking that keepers then didn't get the "star " billing they get now?. Or is it just my age playing tricks on me again?.
-
No we are not. Not yet anyway.
-
Souly (Its easir to spell) was looking for fouls from the start. Imho of course.

Sorry don,t undestand that part!. Laing and Kennedy are over 20. Yes?. Only u20's were allowed to play in that Cup. Yes / No?
