Depending on fitness I would like to see Laing given a run to the end of season at fb. In his limited time there I thought he had potential to develop further. Pearson I doubt will be ready. I would hope that some of the young midfielders are given a chance at least from the bench. Not knowing the plans for Ripley and i would expect now that our future is more secure discussions are taking place, there could be an case for giving Samson a chance before the season end.

Simple solution. Write into the contract that when we free them they can't play for any other team. It would also halve the posts on here.

What day might that be.

They suck the life out of more than just the game of football. Here we are sitting fourth and the discussion is whether we can still be relegated. Get a life. (no pun intended)

Played in the right position and given good service he is good enough for the Championship. But please not until the season after next.

Gave it to Marvin for the goal and the fact it came about after some rare skillfull play.

Me neither, we very poor, even diabolically bad at times, Ainsworths mis hit goal, with the keepers help, typified the match for me. The saying " if you can win when not playing well" comes to mind. Absolutely no creativity in centre mid. If we can get to fourth with the present players what could we do with some skill in there.I can only remember Johnson getting one pass in the first half and that was a foot from the line. Dare I say it again, Lasley and Gomis cannot play together, Gomis is slower than Lasley.

Is it also true at certain level of payments additional benefits kick in if you wish to use them.

Ps. Also from/to Central out 30 mins later possibly because direct. Return arrives earlier too.

Checking on Trainline Queen Street out 9.24 leaving Inverness 17.30 £54.40. Never been there on train before so dont know if 17.30 is doable from stadium. Do know is about 20 min walk stadium to centre.

Not only took the stuffing out of their fans. Listening to BBC Scotland on the way to Motherwell prior to late goal biased Miller and Gordon had Aberdeen top of the league at 5pm. Definitely not impartial.
-
I was probably one of his severe critics. As I said in another thread he is easily disposessed when caught on the ball. However I have seen a marked improvement in his overall play since Lasley went off injured against Utd and again vs Aberdeen. Possibly nearer his natural position. McGhee did say he was cover for Lasley. Doubt we can afford both in midfield.

Having seen it at the game and again on video recording I agree 100%.

It really is amazing. depending of course on other results we are only one win away from fourth.
-
In the first half our back four, not for the first time, played too narrow, more like four centre backs giving Utd the freedom of both flanks. We were lucky it didn't cost us dearly. In the games Laing played he surprisingly for a central defender didn't drift in so much.

Chris Sutton? Easy really ex Celtic darling. Pamper to the old firm fans. Works for the Rancid apparently. Does that explain? Reminds me a quote mentioned to me many years ago. Verbal diarrhoea. There are times when impaired hearing has benefits.
-
I am definitely not a Gomis fan, too slow of thought and deed, caught in possesion in the middle of the park too often, however have to admit he improved by a mile when Lasley went off.

Club should be making sure that this gets maximum exposure in the media and elsewhere from now until the final. Friday night will Craigan be on BT sport duty?.

Statistics and Damned statics (no criticism intended to anyone). In matches I have watched this season and that's most, the opposition have worked out at stopping Johnson by however means ie 2 or 3 players, not necessarily defenders, on him as soon as the ball gets close or the physical approach, a lot of it illegal, means that our attack options are very limited. In this situation there should opportunities for other players to benefit. Can be argued that MacDonald and Moult could/should benefit but likewise there is no support from our very limited midfield. -
He was crap in his first two games, how he managed to get 27 plus posters in his first game was unbelievable, against Utd he had more midfield support but was still poor. Inmo he should be on the first bus back to Tynecastle.
-
I know it is guesswork re Chalmers however he played in midfield early season and was much more comfortable there than at fullback.
-
Would confirm there is not one. From the South Lanarkshire/Borders region and used the Wishaw supporters bus picking up at operators Carluke garage. Unfortuneately not always possible for me to make arrangements to travel to Carluke and support is not always there to make it economical to run. IIRC a few years ago the club asked on their site to say if any one interested from the outlying areas to leave name and postcode with car share a possibility but nothing came of it. Would need more details and more support but could be interested in a car share. PS Have even used the Edinburgh association (car share) to Dingwall but with our performances of late an almost 12 hour trip is out of the question.

Not surprised by all the varied opinions on who/what was wrong today. For my part I thought the shape was meant to be 4-3-2-1 and that Johnson and Pearson were supposed to be supporting McDonald with Cadden one of the midfild three. We have to stick with the formation that the players are comfortable with and perform to the best of their ability. Pearson especially is being asked to play in a different role nearly every game and i am sure that makes him look uninterested when really he is unsure of what role is being asked of him. If we are expecting Gomis to be the saviour of our season then we are in trouble if not already. In him and Lasley we now have the the two slowest midfielders in the country operating in our engine room. Caught in possesion far too often and easily brushed off the ball. We also appear to make drastic changes to the shape when substituions are made. In the latter part of match Gomis appeared to operating between Law and Kennedy. Expecting Ainsworth to make a difference with minutes left is unreal. He more than anyone needs time to get into the game.
