Electric Blues

Because then we might not be third, and being third as it stands just might come in useful in certain future league scenarios.

You are of course entirely entitled to your opinion, just like every other poster. In that vein then, and just for what it’s worth, my opinion is that you should fuck off.

A cracker from Lukas Jutkiewicz tonight for Birmingham, not too dissimilar to this little number. (Any excuse! )

I hope this is some sort of cunning rope-a-dope tactic. No shots on target in the first half is not unprecedented this season, but I'm fairly sure that no shots at all would be a new development.

That plastic shit-tip would not be my first choice of park on which to relaunch the newly-bionic Mr Turnbull.

BBC News: sports banter can exclude women and lead to laddish behaviour such as chat about sexual conquests...

Gillespie would have saved it anyway.

The Dons fans over on the P&B match thread don't sound confident at all. There's a real battle of negativity going on there. In related news, MJC predicts a 3-0 home win. Sorry, did I say "news"...?

Be an awful shame if they went straight back down again, eh?

Rather than wait for nature to take its course we need to get 6-0 up at some point, and then win a penalty. This Saturday might be a possibility, I hope.

My first impression was that it was going in already, and I still think it might have. However, in the moment Chris Long doesn't have a protractor and an action replay, and I agree he did exactly what you'd want him to do. On balance it's far better to have a hungry striker on hand for these opportunities than stood buffing their fingernails on the edge of the 18-yard box.

Has that SquirrelShagger chappy not been on yet? It's unlike him to miss a Kilmarnock thread.

If only I'd lazily typed "& Killie" instead of "and Kilmarnock".

Aberdeen and Kilmarnock both 2-0 down now

On a slightly tangential note, today was my first visit to Fir Park for a while. How long has the stadium announcer been coming out with that “the mighty” pish? It was jarring enough the first time, and by the tenth I was ready to go full postal.

Score first, go behind, game over. Again.

Much as I hate to sound negative, we haven't taken a single point from a losing position so far this season.

I suspect my only chance of a happy ending today is if I buy the wife a really big bunch of flowers.

Do you have a link to that pig video by any chance?

Aye, Les might be a prick, but he's OUR prick. (For the avoidance of doubt, I don't know Les from Adam. He may very well NOT be a prick at all.)

Frear scores for FGR.

For comparison, across their entire professional careers to date, Carson has saved 13 out of 48 (27%), while Gillespie has saved 11 out of 46 (24%). Samson saved 9 out of 35 (25%). Hard to get a fag paper between them on those stats alone. Fraser Forster is often lauded by the fawning Scottish press as a master of the penalty save - to be fair, he's saved 13 out of 34 (38%).
