I think the poster on twitter was referencing the fact that the statement from the club didn't differentiate between a small minority and where they were located and "the fans" as a whole so in effect tarring us all with the same brush. That is my take on it.

There are other factors too. With less time on his contract the price may well decline a bit. Furthermore if we end up Championship bound our desperation for cash will not put us in a strong bargaining position. Id say strike while the irons hot and IMO that is now.
