The card table as he was described to me when I started supporting Motherwell , every time he was tackled in the box his legs folded up.
-
Hibs are utter pish and they managed 9 shots on Target in 90 mins. I don't go expecting to win but I cant stand this "dont try to win" mentality. I do expect more than ZERO shots on target in 90 mins. Id rather have lost 6-0 trying than 4-0 barely crossing the half way line.
-
Predicted 4-0 yesterday and will be 3-0 Sunday.
-
Oh it's achievable but I don't think we will.
-
And a midfield not set upto play 3 feet in front of the defence. Sadly we don't have those kind of midfielders, weakest part of the team. We have shown that winning the second ball in the midfield is not our strong point. I'll be amazed if Rangers don't pump us. Delighted but amazed.
-
Correct, I'm not saying we should be beating Celtic today but we should be giving them a harder game. Not single shot on goal is a disgrace. Our game is have the midfield sit right on top of our defence so when we get the ball only option is boot itong, it comes straight back on us, rinse and repeat for 90 mins. We have no guile about hitting on the counter and the shape we employ gives us no chance of it. Two shots in 90 mins neither on target is frankly disgraceful. Christ a piss poor Hibs team had 14 efforts 9 on target against Celtic at Parkhead.
-
I really don't get this argument. We set out with no intention to win today. We had no options to stop us from being pinned in. We played like that to stop us getting pumped??? St Mirren have just scored a 93 minute winner cos they had options on the counter. We have fuck all like that the wY we set up and Rangers will horse us and they are shite because we "want to keep it tight"
-
There's quite gulf between wanting to move some on and achieving it. I don't see people queuing up to take some of our players. I'm not sure how many are out of contract in the summer mind you and frankly we are not enhancing Lennon Miller's reputation the way we play. We are dragging him down a level.
-
That's what irritates me most. I don't expect to beat them but I expect to make it hard for them, we are generally devoid of the basics in these games and today was just another where we cant pass with any accuracy and have no out, so we resort to our favourite tactic of hoofing it. So it comes straight back on us. It's actually pathetic even accounting for the gulf in budgets. Look how Dundee Utd handled them compared to how we did it. Our defence is poor and our midfield is weak. Our squad is so large I don't see any incoming changes in January. I still don't see us in the top 6 come seasons end bit will be happy to be wrong.
-
Ive never been overly convinced by either and cant wait for McGinn to come back.
-
our defence is gradualy morphing into last season defence , chuck in a keeper starting to gift goals and a pumping is a racing certainty.
-
you've just tempted fate ... 4-0 Celtic.

Last night was a prime example where the use of VAR should have corrected a wrong and the process worked until an arsehole of a referee decided to be a dick. Its not the technology that is the problem. I hate VAR but does it allow officials to correct more mistakes than they miss? yes it does. Bin it and these utter fuckwits who are getting highlighted every week will have a free reign to have infinitely more shocking decisions. Also ask yourselves this , they use VAR in the English Premiership. We all watch it every week. How many of their games are dominated by VAR discussions after the game? Damn few, why is that ? Because the standard of our referees is abysmal and we have a cheap rate version of VAR.
-
correct we were lucky to get a point , Kilmarnock denied a stonewall penalty. We were abysmal everywhere.
-
he gave us a foul when he should have given Kilmarnock a penalty.
-
Correct, again there are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the utter dugshite we dished up again. The sending off was horrific but our play was eye bleeding stuff and the sending off will deflect from that. I left when Casey got sent off as I couldn't stomach watching anymore of that utter shite. Was possibly even worse than the RC, Hibs, and St Mirren games. The rest of the league must be truly horrific when we are sitting 4th.
-
We need to stack away another 3 points as those below us will make in roads on us over the following two games. I want as many points as possible away from the bottom 3 . There are no stand out fall guys this season (not even Hearts) so we need to get as many on the board as we can then concentrate on what is above us in the last round of fixtures..
-
We will need to be on our toes , I watched their game against Hearts and defensively they were good, although tempered with Hearts being pish.

one thing that will never help him is the hoofball game that we employ far too often. -

Amazing the difference to the matchday experience when we try and play football not hoofball. For the life of me I do'nt know if its pre planned or just happens but the minute the hoofball starts you know its going to be one piss poor game. I thought LM was outstanding yesterday he was getting the chance to spray the passes about and on virtually every occasion he received the ball in the air he tried to bring it down and play it rather than the dire aimless punt forward. A million times better than the eye bleeding stuff of the previous 3 games. -

If ever a game epitomises being a Motherwell fan that was it. In complete control at 3-1. Virtually threw the ball in the net for them to make it 3-2. Struggling to contain DU at that point but break up the park and restore the 2 goal lead , time to relax ? fuck no, its Motherwell...... horrendous defending and its 4-3. Until 3-2 we were playing nice football, a million times better than the shite we watched in Paisley. After it went to 3-2 we lost our composure completely and were delighted to hear the final whistle. Thought DU were worth a point but delighted they didn't get it. -
If Liverpool paid us £8.3 Million for LM (big if)

All big "ifs" if they they got that kind of money and if they wanted to build a new stand I doubt very much theyd spend all £8 million on it. -

You are probably right but with the changes in building techniques it may not be as difficult or as intrusive to have a stand running the full length as it was in the 1960s. -

We actually owned that house at one point .. I had heard many moons ago that part of the condition of its sale back to a private house was no planning objections could be lodged should the club ever wish to extend the stand. Not sure how true that is. -

would be rather ironic if we did seeing as Liverpool paid for the current Main Stand with the sale of Ian St John to them in the 1960s
