  1. My reference to SK was the way we set up this season, however the two games last year were bit more smash n grab and hitting on the break. I thought we had far more control of the game on Saturday than we normally do.
  2. Just watched the game again and noticeable when we won the ball from Butlands throw out we had 7 players in the Rangers half, and at the second goal 7 players again in the Rangers half , night and day from SKs tactics
  3. He was excellent in his first period but he was still terrible for bumming up the Old Firm. Mind you I think had it not been for the tragic death of Phil O'Donnell he may have jumped ship to Hearts. He does deserve credit for the way he handled the tragic death of Phil O'Donnell.
  4. McGhee certainly did, he was shocking in his build up to the OF games. He spent the entire week before the games bigging them up in the media basically saying we should just be lucky to be on the same pitch as them.
  5. Perfect set of results for us in every game this weekend. 😊
  6. and how well would he show up with SKs tactics , even in training.
  7. Cheers mate , glad there is no big financial pressures on us. That said the deteriorating state of the main stand Id imagine will take plenty to maintain.
  8. I possibly missed it but was there anything discussed about loss / profit for last accounting year.
  9. I couldn't see the difference between us and the collapse Hibs experienced a number of years ago. We were lucky if we created one chance a game and SK was never going to change that style, so I guess we will need to agree to differ , but immaterial now.
  10. Had SK not resigned it was a definite possibility.
  11. so do you think had SK stayed he would have stopped the rot? I know its conjecture but what I know is ive seen more entertainment in 3 games than i saw with SKs team in 6 months . Had he not resigned I would have sacked him.
  12. Ill hold my hands up and say i've always said I don't rate the squad. I'm still not 100% convinced because that is two seasons on the trot we've collapsed. However you canny argue that results change the dynamics so time will tell.
  13. Biggest part is 4 games to go and we do not face the OF, others round about us may still have to do.
  14. Im waiting for the lurkers who say fuck all when we are in freefall, wait till its safe, then accuse every one else of being panty wetters. Mind you tonight anyone can call me anything they like nowt will diminish my pleasure of us turning them over . I detest the OF with a passion that will never be surpassed
  15. Fingers crossed for a Celtic win, Hibs and Aberdeen win tomorrow and its a Royal flush of perfect results.
  16. I actually don't remember it happening in my 50 years supporting them. However that might just be my 50 year old dodgy memory
  17. Is that back to back wins at Ibrox. If so wonder how many years its been since that happened.
  18. that literally is off the charts in the unexpected .. still cant quite believe it.
  19. If we all pray for St Mirren to go down, you never know the power of prayer.
  20. I did say it was Extremely unlikely, Hibs blew a 15 point lead...😁
  21. Its a long shot but I think DU could fall out the top 6, apart from their win over us they are on a piss poor run too.
  22. said that last night at the game, Dundee are far from the worst team we've played at Fir Park. Any one of 6 possibly 7 teams could end up in the play offs or go down. Even DU, had we beat Dundee Utd at the weekend we'd both be on the same points. I think Dundee Utd are extremely unlikely to be in the mix but they've lost 4 from their last 6 so they need to get their act together. With so many teams so close to each other we will all cut each others throats so a real unexpected could end up going down. If St J can beat Dundee at the weekend the cats is right among the pigeons. Id love it to be St Mirren 😁
  23. Correct, fans will accept it if things go wrong and they can see what the teams trying to do. No matter what any manager says it's still an entertainment business and I think a few fans may have stuck longer with SK if we lost but we're pushing teams hard, playing a bit of football and creating chances. SK stuff was utterly turgid. Games with not a single effort on goal even against pish. Main priority was not to lose never to win. No width to our play, boot it long all game, it was utterly mind numbing. Even if we hadn't got the winner last night most Motherwell fans, though disappointed, would have seen some entertainment and that we may be progressing. None of that was happening under SK. Last night I enjoyed my first game in months. Even the Aberdeen win we played for 15 mins thankfully got two goals but the spent 45 mins being dominated by 10 men from a team who didn't win a game in 15.
