  1. Even going forward I think he's faded a bit , he rarely goes by his man these days.
  2. Apart from a 15 wobble after they scored we deserved that. We mixed up the play a wee bit to to break up Killies attempt at the high press in the second half. Defensively we were solid . The penalty came at the right time and settled us down. Don't know whats happened to Longello but he's a shadow of the player he's been.
  3. It's because it feels that way, painful defeats remain in the memory longer than run of the mill wins. So you are correct if we looked at it with real analysis it probably isn't the case. Now the one where we generally lose when we get a big crowd coming out is true 😜
  4. Ex players ?? Craigan by chance , he gets on my fuckin nerves ..
  5. Thankfully we've already proven we can win on plastic this season. Kilmarnock are really quite poor but you are correct this will not be an easy game , our record over the last few years down there is not great. Might be wrong but think we've only won once down there in 6 years.
  6. If we maintain our current level of points per game we'd be on 45 points at the split that's a baw hair away from the points needed to be to 6. That would be a terrific outcome considering the huge transformational changes the club and the manager are trying to achieve.
  7. Generally around 45/50 and our current return in points if maintained wouldn't have us far away from that
  8. How the hell we shelled out a lot of money ( well for us) on Stama is farcical.
  9. I stand corrected , it's 3, the Hearts game just felt like a defeat 😁
  10. I was including the result from last week that should never be mentioned again.
  11. Oh I can't say I didn't enjoy it. There are just things we need to sharpen up. However that won't be a surprise to players or the manager.
  12. If that's them improved fuck me they must have been bad. I thought Aberdeen were absolute garbage today that's my frustration about the result. However we didn't lose and sets us up for the pain in the arse international break.
  13. Correct , that's my biggest grip about today, the pace was so fuckin slow. However our accuracy figures for passing was 89%. With that kind of accuracy we restrict the oppositions chance to dominate us. As much as I think we do need to speed it up how far would our passing accuracy fall. Could be a double edged sword.
  14. In outfield play we were but very frustrating today because Aberdeen are pish. Our build up play is far too slow. We need to inject some pace into it. That said we do that the passing accuracy falls , so could be a double edged sword. I must be getting greedy in my old age. I remember the days I'd have been delighted with a point at Pittodrie. I could be convinced it was a point gained but could also be convinced it was two points dropped cos Aberdeen are utter shite. All said n done 4 defeats in 18 games is still well in the positive side for ANY Motherwell team.
  15. I'm sure we will and I'm sure we won't when we can't defend.
  16. My thoughts exactly , watched it , and St Mirren played exactly the same way as they did against us and Hibs contained them without breaking sweat. The so called Steven Robinson masterclass that never was.
  17. Just watched the tactical masterclass that was Steven Robinson. St Mirren played exactly the same way against Hibs as they did against us , humped 3-0. Infuriating to see how easily contained them.
  18. Had we got Celtic in the final Id have been more confident than any other time we faced them in a final. Celtic are a shadow of the team the were and were fortunate to beat a 10 man Rangers team. Sure they will be favourites against St Mirren but St Mirren will not face a weaker Celtic team ever again.
  19. I think they stand a decent chance to beat Celtic , Celtic are a shadow of the team theyve been in recent years.
  20. Yes and No. However the kinda of fuck up we did against a very average St Mirren side (enough of this tactical genius pish by Robinson,) we did against Hearts, Celtic, Kilmarnock and Falkirk. We gift goals like its going out of fashion. I fancy us to beat ourselves again on Saturday.
  21. You also forget even at our worst in the first half their keeper had to bring off a great save and Manwanhise fluffed an effort that should have been a goal. There is a lot of nonsense talked about St Mirren yesterday, plus they got the breaks. They basically just did their job effectively. They did nothing that we shouldn't have been able to deal with had our players turned up, there was no tactical masterclass. Virtually everyone of our player was posted missing or at best underperformed. Even as bad as we were we could have had them sweating but for a comedy of errors straight after we scored. On another day we'd take St Mirren, yesterday just wasn't our day. We forget it and move on.
  22. I doubt very much if JBA will get us a cup win or playing regularly in Europe. I suspect playing decent football , developing good players , increasing attendances and keeping the prospect of relegation at bay and decent cup runs will be as far as it goes and I'm happy with that. If JBA is successful in all of that he won't be with us long enough to take it further. It's the curse of the smaller clubs . If your successful that success is taken from you.
  23. There is so much bollocks being talked about tactics, formations, tactical genius blah blah blah. The simple reality is every one one of our players under performed from what we know they can. Every St Mirren player played to their potential. Play that game another day its a different result. St Mirren got the break of the crucial refereeing decision that settled them down to get them ahead. Even in the first half when we were at our poorest their keeper brings of a great save and manwanhise fluffs a great chance. We were really poor but the "excellent" St Mirren performance very nearly derailed. Had we not given away a comedy goal straight after we equalise I think St Mirren could have been rocking. Yesterday was a very fine margin despite how we underperformed.
  24. And why put fans to the expense of going to Edinburgh which would take a few thousand of the crowd when Hampden is right between Paisley and Motherwell.
