My mate and I were saying in January we should have punted him. Even during his hot streak there were questions for us about his game but anytime anything was said about selling him in January was met with howls of derision. Next to no Motherwell fan wanted him punted in January so its kinda hard to now say the board dropped the ball.

I actually think the players are every bit as culpable as the manager and the recruitment team. We have spent £2million on players that couldn't lace the boots of the ones we've lost. The recruitment for me has been poor. Who the fuck looked at Girdwood-Reich and Mooreman and thought there is a mobile pairing for the centre of a defence that wants to play a high pressing game.. I think the manager wants to play the style we played last year but we've recruited players who can't do it. Everything we do is slow and laboured and most of them want to play it safe and play it back . The movement off the ball going forward is also suspect as is the final ball . The quicker we get Preistman and McGinn back in the team the better That said I did see an improvement today, albeit with our customary gifts. Longello and Said were very good esp 2nd half. McGhee looked solid and could potentially be a very good asset along side Preistman. What Maswanhise has done to get back into the team is fucking baffling. However whilst I see improvement I'm prepared to give AJ the benefit of the doubt for the time being. However improvement has got to deliver results and if they don't come in the next 3 games there is only one outcome. I'm not even sure a new manager would get a tune out of a few of those players we have, too many flatter to deceive. The defence is a fucking shambles and we will need to recruit AGAIN in January as sure as night follows day. A crowd of 9912 but I think many season ticket holders stayed away but were counted cos no way did that crowd look a baw hair off 10,000

Correct if ever there was a game to win dirty / lucky its today.

Fans will watch a winning / entertaining team , they will leave in numbers if its shite and the team are losing. Its always been the case with every team. We are facing the latter sadly. However I'm going to attach a small glimmer of hope for today in that the first half against Kilmarnock was actually the best we'd played in weeks. If we could finish we could have buried Kilmarnock in the first half. It may well turn out to be a false dawn and if I'm a betting man it probably will be. There will be no decision on the manager until end of December if a decision is being forced upon the club.

Id never miss the opportunity to see us turn over the Jambos in person. My favourite game of every season.

Correct and with the game being Live on TV neither the Hibs v Celtic games or the Motherwell v Hearts games will be postponed because of wind. Conditions are better rain wise and no worse than yesterday wind wise when a full card went ahead.. The SPFL couldn't give two fucks if fans are inconvenienced or the game ruined by the wind. We've all been going long enough to know that corporate money is the deciding factor 9 times out of 10.

Same as yesterday and the full SPFL card went ahead as did the Championship. It would be strange to cancel todays card for same wind but less rain.

The weather today is no different from the conditions that the St Mirren game when ahead in yesterday except there was more torrential rain yesterday. Ill be surprised if the game is called off. I'm hoping it is because theres no enjoyment playing a game in these winds.

I'm not convinced we could take a weakened Hearts team. Look what Kilmarnock got today, humped , they are pish one of the worst teams Ive seen and they stuck 3 past us, Lost 3 to St Mirren Lost 4 to Aberdeen Lost 3 to Kilmarnock Thats 3 rank teams and we've conceded 10 goals to them. A weakened Hearts team is still better than those 3. I suspect our utterly inept results will continue tomorrow.

The rain is due to ease off from the torrential stuff today and the wind will help ensure the park is not flooded . I think the game will go ahead but will be ruined by the wind.
