The problem is some of our fans are believing the hype. Against Dundee United we played well but we were against 10 men for 75 minutes. To listen to the media and some of our fans you'd think we were world beaters and we weren't, just as today we were poor but we weren't as bad as some are making out. We are 3 points better off after same games as last year. . It also took us until 25/10/2025 to win two league games. We also lost to Falkirk at home in round 8 and the second half performance in that game was worse than today. So lets take a deep breath of reality.

Bang On.

Correct.

As I said we played poorly and even at that Rangers only got 6 shots on target and would have scored with none of them had it not been a keeper gift. They still only got one goal that we gifted as poorly as we played. Folk need to get some perspective. I said before the game I thought too many Motherwell fans were thinking we'd turn them over comfortably that was never going to happen at Ibrox.

What I take from today is to play as poorly and but for a poor error from the keeper we could have got a point. Its alright everyone saying Rangers should have had 4 or 5 goals but they didn't. We pay a defence and goalkeeper to stop goals and but for one lapse wed have played poorly and got a point. Everyone saying they had 27 shots but yeah only 6 on target. Thats nearly 4 in 5 shots didn't require the keeper to save. Its not all gloomy. Ill be more worried if we are as slow and pedestrian against Aberdeen.

Motherwell v Dundee United 02/09/2026

The important part is his general touch and control are invariably poor and have been for months. Two simple lays offs don.t change that fact. If we are going to evidence two simple instances in a game that hes playing welI. I'll counter with him missing the penalty on Saturday, lost the ball for St Mirrens 2nd goal. Last night he lost an easy ball the nearly resulted in a goal for Dundee Utd and sent a shocking ball for SOD who'd burst a gut to get into a great position. See its easy to cherry pick. For me He loses the ball far too often and fluffs it far two often. -

I could have laid on the balls for the 2nd and 3rd goal. I don't doubt his effort but his touch and control are poor and have been for months.. -

Some lovely football and great goals, thought we were wasteful from some great moves in the first half. Sure we were up against 10 men but you can only beat whats in front of you and we did. Lowry was outstanding. I'm done with Manwanhise. He does not merit being an automatic fist choice. Windows closed so hes not going anywhere time to let him know his performances are deserving of his arse being on the subs bench. -

LOL I watched Maswanhise at Paisley taking shots form teed up lay offs. He had 10 efforts, scored one keeper saved two and the rest either went wide or high but he still scored in the game so maybe doesn't tell us too much. Although I think his shooting is piss poor when he has time to think about it. -

i just think because the general feeling among the fans is high and everyone thinks we've had a good transfer window that something will bite us on the arse. I've been watching us far too long that it fucks up rational thinking. 🤨 -

Looks like poor attendance tonight from the ground map. Don't know why this game wasn't moved to the cup weekend. This game could go either way depending what defence turns up? With Ibrox being our next game a win will be very welcome. Don't know why, just got a strange feeling we might struggle tonight. -
Correct his form should not as yet impact his value and we should sell him based on being the leagues top goal scorer. Ive a feeling that position will change dramatically by January so Id be inclined to cash in on him now.
-
Likewise Id hate to lose him but we've gotta be fair to the players too if they've performed and a big money bid comes in from a bigger club. Nature of the beast supporting s smaller club sadly. That said if no one wants our players we'd be Partick Thistle.
-
i remember him more at Dundee Utd and always looked the part.
-
Yeah but if no bids in by tonight both the OF clubs know they can come in unopposed however unlikely, they'd still need to meet our valuation though.
-
my mates just said the same thing and thats a possibility.
-
You've a bit longer to wait buddy. The Scottish Transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday.
-
My fear is losing Fadinger and/ or Longello . Maswanhise I couldn't care less about if the moneys good.
-
Hope hes a good plumber cos hes never a striker. The fact his loan club have shown no interest in signing him despite given the option to buy suggests he did fuck to impress at Sydney. Id take the hit and cancel his contract.
-
Another midfielder ?? is this an indication Fadinger is leaving? hope not.
-
Probably unpopular view but that Strip today is streets ahead of the home strip.
-
aye only 23 and he put the ball ten feet wide when through on the keeper. I watched him closely in the warm up when they were all taking shots and the amount of times he didn't even get it on target was shocking..
