  1. With the OF playing in the other semi final and the gate money pooled it was never going to be cheap.
  2. Just watched it and thought they all came across very well. Was curious what the infrastructure developments the chairman was referring to. Said more details would be released as soon as definite developments. Anyone any idea what they are.
  3. Apologies if someone has mentioned this but what was the story about Just. I presume he was injured , hopefully nowt serious.
  4. Said!!!! have you seen his final ball ?? he really needs to work on that cos everything else is decent.
  5. Before the transfer window I fancied us in both games against Aberdeen because I thought Aberdeen were pish. On paper I thought they'd strengthened significantly in the window. So my natural slant towards pessimism I thought the cup tie would be a step to much for us. Thankfully it didn't turn out that way. I was always more hopeful for the home league game. If we can play as we can , and to be fair that's better than we played on Saturday, we should be able to get 3 points.
  6. You are correct mate European Football leaves me completely cold. Couldn't care if I never saw another European game ever again. Although I accept if we have a great season, which Id always want , that comes as part of it. Id never spend a single penny going abroad to watch a European game again Seen it done it , the novelty's past and our efforts in general have been dismal in our 38 outings. Happy to say I was fortunate to watch our best performance away (Dortmund) but all the rest, other that Odense and Nancy, have been a whole lot of nothing in my view. The money is a bonus I know but I never started supporting Motherwell to watch a balance sheet. I watch for excitement , drama and decent football and European football , for us, has produced very little of that. I don't expect anyone else to agree its just a personal opinion. For others who love it, great lap it up, if it arrives.
  7. Completely agree imagine if St Mirren win 2 major trophies in the last 15 years No way would I want that. A team we wouldn't have seen in our way over the last 30 years. Ours will be a real hard tie to win St Mirren are no mugs
  8. Whilst I think its extremely unlikely, what you can say is that from St Johnstone and Aberdeen in the Cup and 5 league games we have been the better team in every game. I can't remember a time where I could say that about a Motherwell team facing hard opponents.
  9. 😂😂 Me and my mate got a two hour dispensation to watch the game. If you could have seen the looks of folk when me and him jumping about the pub like 5 year olds singing "oh Motherwell, oh Motherwell is wonderful.." Perfect start, now for day two and a liver transplant tomorrow... OH MOTHERWELL, OH MOTHERWELL..... IS WONDERFUL.
  10. If I'm hones I just never saw that coming. I couldn't be more delighted, the project remains on track a big crowd guarenteed and we really should have won that 4-1 even though probably one of our poorer game. Take nothing away from Motherwell but Aberdeen are absolute push. To think how they were creaming their pants over their their transfer window activity.
  11. One that will test my falling capacity for Alcohol One that proves I cant hit a golf ball One that proves I've got double vision on a pool table One that proves I have some of the best mates in the world And hopefully one that sees my team going to a semi final 🤣
  12. Right if we were only able to win one , what do you want? tomorrow or next Saturday in the league.
  13. I hope you are right. Got a stag weekend in Glasgow this weekend , me and one of my mates have been given a 2 hour pass to watch the game hopefully I won't have my face up my arse for the rest of the weekend. 🤞🤞🤞😂
  14. I'd quite happily take our chances in a penalty shoot out if offered now. I just have a horrible feeling that because Aberdeen cannae score in a barrel of fannies they might get two or god forbid three against us.
  15. I have to say on this one I share your likely outcome. The very fact Aberdeen haven't scored a goal in 5 league games gives me the fear. I still bear the scars when Aberdeen came to Fir Park having lost their opening 7 games of the season had scored one goal and beat us 6-5. Probably the only highlight of the Aberdeen fans season where they finished in the play off spot.
  16. I put this lady on block a year ago because I was fed up with the constant victimhood when things don't go her way. She chips away at people opinions like picking a sore and if the discussion gets to the stage where someone is giving as good as they get, and she has no answer, the tears and snotters and victim card are played with relentless monotony. So far easier for me to put on block , she could do likewise to people she doesn't like or agree with or as has been suggested, if abusive, report. But no we get the full on drama and flouncing away , no doubt to return in a couple of weeks . I would also respectfully suggest if you cannot handle other people opinions and some rather robust opinions a football fan forum is not the place to be. Anyone may call me anything they like , I might not like it , I might not agree with it but I'll forever defend your right to say it.
  17. Nah you don't fall into the obnoxious or the victim card players.....we'll no yet anyway, cos I've got them all blocked 😆
  18. McGhee has picked up another injury that requires surgery and won't be back until next year.
  19. It's also easy just to block people that irritate you.
  20. The Hearts game I'd agree but even then they'd have lost if it wasn't for two glaring keeper errors. . Dundee not so much. Sure after the break Dundee had a 15 min spell where they dominated but we took control again and Manwanhise and AP should have scored after that slight Dundee resurgence. Dundee had no possession / attacks of note after that post half time 15 minute burst.
  21. I actually thought our style of play of playing it our from the back would result in a few more silly goals but it hasn't. The goals we are losing has nothing to do with our style of playing out from the back it just rank bad defending and goalkeeping.
  22. Its was shocking and the road works into Dundee were horrendous. Traffics at a standstill . Those parking restrictions round the ground are a pain in the arse too. I left East Kilbride at 12.00 to try and avoid the nightmare parking and got to Dundee at 2.15. A journey that normally takes me 1.30 taking 2.15 .
  23. When the deck is Jordan McGhee going to put in an appearance.
  24. Just back from the game and I'm seriously pissed off and I'm annoyed at myself for being pissed off because we are a good watch and but for another dreadful defensive laps wed have won. That's 5 games played and we've been the better team in every game. During the GA and SK era Id have bitten your hand off for what I'm watching now ....but ....there's always a but...the final third is woeful AP just doesn't cut it for me, Said does a ton of work but fuck me dithers about in possession and quite often loses it in great positions. If Manwanhise is the player we think he is he should be burying that one on one, no composure piss poor effort straight at the keeper. Defensively we still gift goals that would embarrass a pub team. That was a hard take , at half time we were an absolute joy but by full time we gifted an utterly woeful Dundee a point and could have lost it. So so frustrating.
