  1. I see it's being reported St Johnstone are in the final stages of a take over by an American businessman. Im just curious if Motherwell were subject to decent investment take over but it required the cessation of fan ownership how many of you would go for it?
  2. Every player we ever have will have faults , it's the consistency with which they display those faults that determine whether they are any good for us and for me Mugabi makes too many basic errors. He's not alone we have quite a few we should be looking to move on.
  3. Mugabi , should be one of a few shown the door in the summer. He's had tons chances to improve and he makes the same basic error now he did three years ago.
  4. Now that my annoyance has subsided , it's just as well we didn't play that game when it was originally scheduled as we'd deffo been pumped. We'd have take a point before the game kicked off. However I don't take away the criticism of the abysmal collapse. That Aberdeen team are poor so we should have been able to see that game out. Dreadful, not for the first time game management. Just reinforces that this squad for the umpteenth time doesn't have what it takes. Yeah periodically they can do it but consistently they have the same basic failings. Thankfully most of them are out of contract in the summer. A big clear out is required and frankly I don't accept the "who will we get that's better arguement" that's what the managers paid for. That's his job.
  5. There's certainly mileage in that arguement.
  6. They didn't need to look very hard it was clear as day Butcher shoved the Aberdeen player , the arse.
  7. Yep Butcher playing like a school by pushing the Aberdeen player and getting our 4th goal chalked off. What goes through his head, he knows VAR will see it if the ref doesn't, clown. The Aberdeen player wasn't even getting near the ball without the foul.
  8. With all due respect I'll get over it when I decide to get over it.
  9. Aberdeen are that decent they lost 3-0 at home to St Mirren, they are 9th in the league after 25 games, Aberdeen are pish , they have conceded as many goals as us this season, they have a quality striker and very little else. Shocking to lose a three goal lead to that Aberdeen team.
  10. I certainly think he will be the highest if not one of the highest paid, what that sum may be I don't know but my point stands he's replaceable at a lower cost to the club.
  11. I'd move him on. He's infinitely replaceable at a lot less than we are paying him. Ive heard folk say "if we want a chance of Euro money he needs to play for a chance of being picked, if he's dropped there is zero chance of being picked". I don't really go for that because the amount of money isn't earth shattering, so I'm rather perplexed why he isn't dropped.
  12. Would you take a pay cut when you had a bad year??
  13. The club is indeed fortunate to have fans like you that still have the enthusiasm. Thankfully in the small support we've I would consider myself in the minority and for the clubs sake hope it stays like that. Even if we had 12,000 more of them every week would we be any better off when you look at Hibs and Aberdeen over the last few years. The Scottish game is going nowhere because there is no genuine competition. How's it managed to survive this long as a two horse race ever year is truly astonishing.
  14. You are not wrong and I fully get why those who stick with it do and I'm not trying to piss on their parade. If they still love it as much as they did 40 years ago I'm genuinely jealous. I'm at the stage and have been for 5/6 years where I find it all intensely tedious and predictable and 90% of the time it is predictable. It's not just us that it affects most of the clubs go through the same ups and downs. A league devoid of any real competition and excitement. The product is crap. Where the club are guilty is the constantly depressing whinging about being skint, we are the worst whingers in the league. Clubs like St J , St Mirren , Killie and Ross County are not significantly better off than us financially but by Christ we are world beater at griping about it. I never started supporting Motherwell to concern myself with the clubs balance sheet every year. I feel that's all we exist for is to keep the finances in balance. Anyway I never stared this topic to depress everyone , for those who still love it all , good for you and I hope it stays that way for you.
  15. The club is fortunate to have guys like you , guys like me not so, I'm at the stage after unstinting support for 46 years I'm sick to the back teeth of it. I could walk away tomorrow. It's only habit that keeps me going and the great people I have gone to games with. If they gave up I'd finish tomorrow. I stress it's got fuck all to do with the Morton game. I thoroughly expected that result. I've felt like this for 5/6 years now.
  16. 😆😆 And I bet we'd all recognise one another without ever having met.
  17. You are a better man than me mate , I only travel from EK to Motherwell. If I had 70 mile round trips I think I'd be done.
  18. I think Maurice Malpas equalled it, both horrendous.
  19. "Sometimes ran the ball out of play......" You are being very generous mate. Shivute was crap but we've got plenty to choose from, Billy Davies brother for one. Worst manager ? Without doubt Maurice Malpas followed by Bobby Watson, Harri Kampman then McLeish. McLeish generally did well initially because he inherited Tommy McLeans team then set about rebuilding it and his dealings in the transfer market were horrendous. At least Malpas, Watson and Kampman had the excuse of no money to spend. McLeish wasted the £1.75 million we got for Phil ODonnel. Equivalent of £4 million in today's money.
  20. Aberdeen won't even need to try , if they remain patient we will as near as put the ball in the net for them. It's been our Achilles heel for long enough , the standard of goal we generally concede is frankly a joke.
  21. Casey or Butcher is a toss up between poor or piss poor.
  22. I've had 46 years of moving on , it's water off a ducks back within a day. I'm as close to chucking as I've ever been. I am seriously bored watching this year on year whinge about being skint , year on year fuck ups in Cups, year on year having to rebuild from loan deals every 6 months. I seriously question what would I miss. It's OK when you are young there is an air of excitement about it all but as you get older and see the same script year on year the attraction diminishes, well thats how I feel, maybe some other who started watching us in the 1970s still get the excitement.
