The attraction of European Football is overrated as a motivating factor for people to stay. In football its money and status. If a big club comes in for any of our players and manager 99% certain they will go. Football fans seem to have some misty eyed notions and forget that Football is THEIR JOB and like all of us we move for the best remuneration and security for our families. European Football is a minor shiny bauble in the whole scheme of things and one that invariably results in two games out on your arse. What person in their right mind would knock back the financial security of a life time in "the hope" of maybe four European games instead of two.

Absolutely outstanding and frankly had it stayed at 11 v 11 I still think we'd have sored 5 we were that good. As complete a game as we've seen all season. The lead up play for the 4th goal was mesmerising. Delighted for the big guy up front, great take for his first goal. Im not one who thinks we will challenge for the league but please please keep proving me wrong.

Mate Aberdeen are shite by any measure, that's why they are where they are. That's why we've beat them 3 times already this season We are a better team than them and that's why folk are a bit raw about it. Even the starting selection, that everyone is going overboard about, should have been enough to take care of them. We lost because two players fucked up the Keeper and Gordon. Everything else is over complicating a situation that basically saw us put ourselves out. It really doesn't get much more complicated than that.

The starting team, had we kept 11 men on the park, would have been good enough to take care of a piss poor Aberdeen team. The fact we were the better team with 9 men confirms that. The minute we went to 10 aside we pinned Aberdeen in, albeit our balls into the box were poor and we were trying to walk the ball into the net. The balls into the box didn't really improve after the changes. 9 corners and not one caused even a ripple of a problem for Aberdeen. Our set prices are one of the weakest parts of our game. However no one will convince me that the reason we went out was because of the team selection we went out because 2 players fucked up handing the tie to Aberdeen.

Correct. Getting fucked out of Europe barely laying a glove on most teams we've played doesn't even register for me compared to a Cup win.

Imagine being the better team with 9 men, that's how fuckin bad Aberdeen were. Tonight just epitomises why Im a complete pessimist following Motherwell, shoot ourselves in the foot every fuckin time, as we've done for 30 years in the Cup. Piss poor. Put out of both cups by teams who are fuckin rank rotten.

1998/99 was the season John Boyle bought Motherwell and started to splash the cash and the fans thought a revolution was coming. Add to that we had a couple of games with 11/12000 out with OF fixtures as Boyle tried to drum up the numbers.

If there is a football god we should win the Cup because we are the best team in Scotland. That said you don't need to be good to win the Cup as Aberdeen and St Mirren have proved. Both absolute pish and current holders of Silverware.

Hearts are dropping more points in last 10 games than the other three, for that reason I don't think they will win the league.

I might be wrong but if Dundee Utd and Aberdeen lose next Saturday and we beat St Mirren I think top 6 is secured.

I think a defeat on the cards for no other reason that teams rarely win double headers in 4 days. Can we win ? most certainly, will we? I just have a terrible feeling about this one.

Correct , I think fans are letting frustration of missed chances cloud the fact that we did play well or we wouldn't have missed so many chances.

Game should have been out of sight at half time 5-0 wouldn't have flattered us. Game could have ended 7-3. Aberdeen were better in the 2nd half but we still merited the win despite what some Dons fans seem to think. A bit more shaky at the back than we've been but still covered every blade of mud ☺️ to get the result. If Rangers see the Hearts game out and both Motherwell and Celtic win their games in hand 7 points will separate 4 teams. I will start to get seriously worried ...😁 We still have Hearts twice probs home and away Rangers once probs away Celtic twice probs away and home. 😮😮

I have to be honest I never thought I'd ever see the day where the home attendance ran between 6 and 7000 nearly every home game. Frankly Fir Park generates a good atmosphere with >7000. A good comparison is the two home games against Kilmarnock, in the first game they brought 1200 fans and the second game they brought 500 fans that's a 1000 increase in home fans for one fixture. I know we all probably have some folk who moan about everything somewhere near us in the stands but it's great that the overwhelming majority of fans have totally bought into it. It's rare to hear any negative shouts to boot it long. It's a real pleasure going to Fir Park these days. My only worry is we only have this kind play for one season.
