  1. Yep, we really looked head and shoulders the better team. Pity we won thought, we would have had half a dozen posts by Yodo after a heavy defeat.
  2. Looking in advance at Hamilton away on their plastic pitch then two big city clubs with budgets that dwarf ours the thought of three wins would seem ridiculous. I think it’s fair to say the management and players have to come out with a huge amount of credit for doing exactly that. The new signings along with Donnelly are also bit by bit showing they may have plenty to offer.
  3. Just to put it out there again, 3rd is up for grabs this season for any team that can even hit average. Biggest challenge could be holding on to Robinson.
  4. He was supported because he came through the ranks, he was poor the last few games and subbed. Moving forward I don’t see him playing in the Scottish Premiership in one of the better teams on a weekly basis. I could see him in a lower ranked team or one of the better championship teams. A lot does depend on his developments but I still think there will be question marks regarding his attitude moving forward, he’s no David Turnbull ability or maturity wise.
  5. It will have been a huge increase in wages so think an offer many of us would have taken if we’re being honest. Taking the money out of the equation though he was very predictable and teams soon sussed him out, stop him cutting inside and you nullified most of what he did. He struggled with us last three or four games and was subbed, maybe by then his head was turned but i’m still not convinced he was the real deal.
  6. Nope, but we still need one which I think Robinson is well aware of given he keeps trying to sign one.
  7. I certainly think Cole can improve but I think that’s going to take a good few months, the same with Seedorf. We have a real chance to finish top four this season in my view ( there really are no quality teams outside the top two and that’s going to end up with Celtic top again) but to do that we needed a central striker that could hit the ground running.
  8. In my view we really need a central striker so pretty disappointed.

In my time there appears to have always been a player that never gets a break, I just wish at times people were more patient and give players time to develop, Donnelly another always in the firing line yet improving game on game.

The attendance was just under 6000
  11. Yes I think at this point in his development the wide position suits him.

Livingstone are third, that’s how bad the league is this season. Third is up for grabs for just about anyone in the league.

Seedorf was fine today, to describe him today as rotten is way off the mark..

A very good all round performance today with no real stand out players, everyone was solid. I was very pleasantly surprised at both Hartley at the back and I though the Long, Scott, Seedorf combo worked well. Polworth and Donnelly continue to improve in midfield. I would have snapped your hand off for 7 points from those first four tough games so for me a very solid start to the season.

Honestly have no idea how this will go, play like we did against Hearts and it’s another defeat however I can’t see us been that bad again. We still need to strengthen and as yet it’s not happened. I expect Tait and Carroll to return with Long starting again up front. Other than that anything could happen.
  16. Very difficult to see that happening, surely it’s a case of getting fit then a probable move to Celtic which has all but been agreed.
  17. Maybe they will just give him back to us, he clearly is not good enough for them and they don’t want to pay anything.
  18. I think Polworth and Donnelly are always going to have a tough job winning over a percentage of the support. In my view they have had a very decent start to the season, both are improving and Donnelly is knocking in plenty. First three league games, one against Celtic and two away and both on plastic pitches was always a hell of a tough start for them, four points is not too shabby. Let’s see how Saturdays game goes.
  19. Is he even still with us, he’s the forgotten man, don’t remember Robinson even mentioning him of late
  20. I wondered who would bite first. My money was on Yodo.
  21. With a couple of decent signings 3rd place is up for grab.
  22. Personally I think he will be trying to bring in a central striker as a minimum.
  23. I don’t think there is anything outside the top two, not a single team that stands out.
  24. It is actually ok to support Motherwell and be happy, I never get the “happy clapper” line just because an individual supporter has a level of faith. It may be that faith ends up less than justified but surely it’s better than always seeing the negatives.
