Just about as stupid a decision as sacking Robinson would have been. He was turning them around before they built up a big injury list along with suspensions. I firmly believe he would have turned things around but football is not full of patient individuals these days.

That hardly means it’s a lie to state we are second or third lowest.

I think the majority of supporters do appreciate that we are batting well above our weight, quite a few clubs with higher budgets than us have been relegated or are struggling and high praise has to go to the management/coaching/scouting team. Sadly one or two will never appreciate how well the club is run but they are very much in the minority in my view. Good to here some positive new on Turnbull, let’s hope it pans out because that would be a massive piece of business.

Hey ho all about opinions.

They have not lost away all season, that’s not down to luck in my view. They closed us down very quickly and were extremely well organised even when down to 10 men. Not seen another team we have played at home be that effective against us. I don’t buy the big decision line costing us.

Many of our players were indeed poor today but that’s down to the level of the opposition. Given our budget and level of player we are able to bring in the squad has over performed but there is always a point that it becomes a step too far, today that was very obvious.

There is Celtic and Rangers and then the rest. We were outclassed for much of that game by a team full of technically better players than us. We had our chances but no complaints with the result, we move on.

Oh come on let’s not get silly.

We will know for sure on Sunday, hopefully I’m wrong and we more than match them.

Problem is Rangers are twice the team Hearts are. Gerrard has improved them no end, they battered Celtic on Sunday.

3-1 to Rangers. Personally I think there is quite a gap between the old firm and the next best team which is us, I’ve seen nothing of late to suggest that’s changing.

Smallest Hearts support I’ve seen at Motherwell but it was a poor gate overall given how well we are doing this season. Poor weather, Christmas shopping maybe having a factor.

Please don’t turn up at the ground on Saturday, won’t be much of an atmosphere.

A pretty poor game in truth with lots of sloppy passing and not enough movement off the ball. A few moments of class from Hylton the bright spots. How are Hearts this bad with their playing budget ? terrible team. I stand by my opinion this season that 3rd place is up for grabs for any half decent team and I think at this point of the season we have been the 3rd most consistent team. You could argue that on their day Aberdeen are better than us but the flip side is they are truly awful far to often. Crap day both weather wise and the football in general but one look at the table makes me very happy, well done Mr Robinson.

I think Hearts have been poor the last three or four times they have visited, even when top of the league, but they keep getting results and I worry today will be the same. We should have enough to win the game of course, it sure it will happen.

Scott has way more potential than Hastie. Even before he left us teams realised if you stopped him cutting inside you nullified his biggest threat, last two or three game he was pretty ineffective and taken off. Scott has far more of an all round game even at this stage, he has a good way to go but I think he will end up playing at a higher level than Hastie ever will. I can see Hastie knocking around various lower league clubs in England before ending up back up here at a Championship club. If he gains a bit of maturity and starts making good decisions he will still have a decent career though, has has enough talent to do that.

Yes think I read one or two reports like that, obviously far off the mark.

How could anyone hate a “Luxury player”.

I would just play our strongest 11. If we want to finish top four these are the winnable games and resting the likes of Polworth and Declan would be crazy. I would rather we rested players against Celtic and Rangers than games where three points are up for grabs.

Ah yes sorry, read those last two posts completely wrong.

But how much of an influence did he really have in many games ? Yes he could knock it around but it often ended up going nowhere. Did we get it wrong letting him go to Hibs, how many games did he end up playing for them ?
