  1. To be fair we’ve had defended out injured and suspended this season with a full back playing on the wrong side and a midfielder playing as a full back.
  2. I doubt it will go on long. Celtic well and truly in the driving seat this time. That injury will end up costing the club big style. People thought 3 million was not enough, watch what he goes for now.
  3. I would agree with all of that, we will never know if things would have turned out differently if the pen had gone in, they may have lost a bit of confidence. I though every players was a good 10% down yesterday and as a team we were very sloppy. I thought we missed Donnelly who would no doubt have put away the penalty and is a better fit in midfield than Maguire who I still think is a centre half learning his trade. Robinson has stated he was told Hartley was going back on so no real blame on him there. I still think the main thing we lack is a competent centre forward and that’s going to be the difference this season. I don’t believe Cole or Long are the answer, Long never seems to have the ball fully under control and Cole is still very much a work in progress, Scott will get there but is still a bit off.
  4. So much to say when we lose yet so little when we win.
  5. Ah Yodo welcome back, that your weekend made.
  6. It would be nice to see a decent home crowd tomorrow, the weather also looks half decent.
  7. I’m absolutely sure it won’t be a walk over and will be tough, they just about all are in the top flight. I think thought if we go into this with a positive attitude we have nothing to fear. As before outside the top two I don’t believe there is a team with any real quality in the league.
  8. Again nothing to fear here. I feel we may see a positive performance and a 2-0 to Motherwell.
  9. You just have to ask why a player with his abilities is playing at that level ?
  10. Yep, I’m just being rather mischievous.
  11. Turnbull, still believe he’s off to Celtic pretty sharpish when fit.
  12. Would he turn down say Sunderland ? that would be a hell of a call.
  13. Big increase in wages and higher profile would be a pull. Both Alex Neil and Ross got big clubs after doing less than Robinson has in my view. Don’t see compo been an issue for any decent sized club down south. Look at the hike in wages Neilson received moving from one of the biggest clubs in Scotland to the massive MK Dons.
  14. I think interest is inevitable, Hamilton and St Mirren only two of late that have lost their managers to clubs down south. If we finish top four he will be gone in the summer which I think would be a huge loss to the club.
  15. I thought the best of the summer signings, Polworth is now however giving him a run for his money, well done to him.
  16. I think at one point last season he was lucky to keep his place in the team. However he’s certainly upped his game now.
  17. Really Hearts, Hibs, and Aberdeen are a level above the rest with their budgets. They are just making a mess with what’s available. Hearts must have a playing budget five times ours.
  18. The positive is that when Turnbull does go which is inevitable we are now well covered. big cheque in the bank with no replacement needed. Obviously Turnbull would be a loss to any team but we look like we can hold our own without him. Problem would be Robinson going and taking half the team with him.
  19. I’m guessing another one of those “ my mates girlfriends mums gardener told her “ moments. Goes alongside the likes of “ such and such a player can’t stand him” just before they sign a new contract. come on are we not past nonsense like this.
  20. It’s certainly been an interesting start to the season. The new signings were initially heaped with praise, which then turned in its head to the majority of them described as terrible, then back to optimism again. Donnelly looked to be this seasons fall guy “ is he even a footballer” stands out. Robinson has again gone from having question marks against him to the fear we may lose home to a bigger club. Looking at it as it stands at this point we’ve actually had a good summer, Gallagher is a top player, Polworth just gets better and better, we’ve actually signed a more than decent left back In Carroll , Cole, Seedorf, and Hylton are all finding their feet and improving. Donnelly is quickly turning into one of the better midfielders in the division and my god he’s a goal scorer. If we could hold on to a fit again Turnbull we could finish top four in my opinion, still seen nothing to be frightened of outside the top two. I just wish one or two posters were more patient. Robinson has had to more or less build a new team and it takes time for some players to adjust. There will always be ups and downs with a team like Motherwell with such a restricted budget.
  21. We were terrible against them at home last season, surely we will see an improvement Saturday.
