Everyone says things they later regret and in truth i’ve heard plenty of people say they think there are way too many minute silence or applauses at games and tributes should be kept close to home rather than being UK wide. Don’t think it makes them terrible individuals.

Afraid I agree, he’s certainly got huge potential but he’s still not ready to play week in week out at premiership level. I think playing every week at championship level would improve him no end.

I was very surprised by Carroll given the feedback from supporters of his previous club, strong, quick, can pass a ball, gets forward. With a bit of work he looks like he could be a half decent left back for us. A previous poster mentioned the difference from last years early cup games, the football is on a different level entertainment wise.

Gallagher for me, strikers will always make the headlines but some of those passes out from the back were top drawer, night and day to Hartleys hoofballs.

A good solid performance, while it was only a championship team I think possible the best bunch of signings Robinson has made, positives from all of them and I think in Gallagher we’ve signed a corker, his distribution is better than any centre half signed while i’ve been watching the club.

His stats as manager were given further up the thread, in the end that’s what matter and they hold up well against other Motherwell managers.

Some always think the grass is greener, in reality it rarely is. In my opinion if you have a half decent manager then you build on that and bring that continuity. We all know Robinson and Lasley, and they know the club from top to bottom. Clearly Robinson is a good man manager, I don’t think a single player still here or at another club has had a bad thing to say about him and that’s a big plus in itself. At some stage he will either be sacked, or leave for another club, that’s football. However that time is not now and he still has work to do. Good luck to the pair of them, they have my full support.

Yep, along with alcohol which clubs don’t seem to have a problem plastered on front of their shirts. Mental health issues are huge in the west of Scotland with suicide rates among men at high levels, not sure if that’s partly down to how men feel they should be perceived ( strong/tough). While I understand sponsorship is huge it would be nice to see the club think about who sits on the front of those shirts.

Robinson has a lot of belief in him, as you say he was mentioned numerous times last season. He feels there is a lot more to come development wise and as much as i’m not a massive fan the guy is still young.

Absolutely, we probably all know individuals who are struggling with life for one reason or another and i’ve certainly had the experience of knowing someone who took their own life at a young age.

Do you not need to be footballer to play for your national team at any level ? They don’t just pull punters off the terracing.
