spot on Mio. We don't do the basics in anyway shape or form. Problem with Bair - he doesn't read the game and as much effort he puts in isn't a footballer. Not that Bair is the single issue, the basics that all team had are out the window.

What irks me is SK recognised that getting balls in to box was the difference. This came from people hitting the wide areas , which we'd get from Spencer on right, Gent on the left. There is zero width to this team, feels like we're going down the route of anti-football and moving away from what SK first brought.

completely agree on formation and also agree that's probably as strong a starting line up as possible. Personally would like to see Davor but only because he's had so little time and the other midfielders haven't offered much.

SK must think he's rotten. He said he needs to show more than Slattery, SPittal, Paton have shown. Hardly a high bar to reach. This is a poor reflection on SK's summer approach. Great job at moving players out and reducing the squad. Was hoping we'd have smaller squad and use the savings to bring in better quality to improve our overall squad. None of the new perm signings are good enough, the Bair project is his biggest success (sigh) I still advocate for giving SK time but its hard to listen to these interviews. There's no excuse for bad results. Quite simply need to a) get back to creating chances, more than 2 shots on goal and b) win.

Think it has to be the midfield but only if we play spencer on the right and gent on the left . we need natural width and get balls into the box . also think we need to drop slattery and replace with Davor as need more in the middle defensively

Part of our problem is for current players we need to play a starting 12. 3 centre halves 2 wing backs 4 midfielders 2 strikers following issue is we don't have 4 strong midfielders nor 2 strikers. We could ask for special dispensation 😜

I'd be pretty similar to this. What worked last night was getting balls into the box from wide portions rather than through the middle. Slattery I'd potentially replace with Davor. He's off form and he get's nothing from the ref's, suspect he's created a bad rep with refs and manages to annoy every one. Like SOD Slattery is no real value during tough times. Potential to replace Bair/Wilkinson. I prefer Bair in the deeper midfield role as he works hard tracks back and gives the midfield energy.

Confidence is a huge factor , can’t say players aren’t trying . we play with zero width Wilkinson is a penalty box guy who still score but we don’t provide anything as we’ve no width this is down to SK . He gets credit when we do well , he’s also accountable now .

Miller may just need a break - he's played lots of game for someone young. Equally wonderful if this is to force his hand to extending contract. Delighted to have S'OD back. he's everyones first choice when when the chips are down, can't see anyone moaning about that 😉

We're in an odd position with SK. If we brought in a mgr with a win 50% win percentage fans would be delighted. It's the feast/famine that is hard to take. Albeit no-one complained when we had the feast. Had there been an even spread of wins/defeats draws over the last 30 games, with a 50% win rate I reckon we'd all be reasonably satisfied with progress. It's the run of 7 games without a win that kills the mood and creates an intolerance. Coupled with recent games not creating any real chances. A similar famine killed off the likes of McCall, Robinson and to a lesser degree Alexander. All clubs good through good/bad spells, we could do with ours being less polarising. SK needs to turn things around and we do need to start winning games but give him the opportunity to do it.

It wasn't great. It's the first time our formation looked all over the shop. Killie had 6 shots on goal to our 1. I don't think for a moment players have downed tools , more lack of confidence and lots of individual errors. Example Kelly was poor at the goal, which is a real shame has he'd a couple of very good saves before they scored. I don't remember their keeper having a save to make to be honest, we didn't lay a glove on them.

I'm hoping we return to winning ways - 3 points will make a huge difference I'd set the team up as 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 depending how you look at it. This is due to personnel rather than any benefit/magical formation. Several players could be replaced and it's an either/or situation. The way I see it is I'd have players in their natural positions and go back to a formation that everyone is familiar with. Completely with you . The short term view of many baffles me - albeit I understand the emotion. a few months ago this board was full of ‘the ketttle is boiling ‘ a few bad performances and we’re ready to bin him ?! When you look at the size of crowds , coupled with not having a wealthy benefactor where do people think we should be in the league ? 8th - can’t really argue with that . Performances have been poor for last 3 games but that’s what happens with confidence . Today I think SK lost the plot with his formation , several bad decisions and it’s the first post match assessment that I felt he’s hidden from the facts but until now he’s delivered pretty decent return . He deserves time to show what he’s made of . See where we get to in the next 8 or so games . Suspect we’ll pick up points .
