1st time I've been able to get to Fir Park in a while, and even longer since I've been able to watch a game from the East Stand.
Atmosphere was superb, and nearly as good as the effort from our players...at times we were a joy to watch, and if our decision-making and/or our final ball had been better we'd have cuffed those weegie minks. I've a feeling it's going to be an entertaining season.
P.s. Slattery was the best midfielder on show today
Someone mentioned further up that instead of incentivising 'smaller' games with the bring a mate for a 5er type idea...could we not do that to circumvent the rules of having to charge the same price to home and away fans?
I believe we are OK financially, but for Miller to leave for a development fee only, this time next season would be a hammer blow to the club as it would be a lot less than the figures being promoted currently.
Remember East Stand Motherwell are hosting a 7s tournament at Rockburn prior to the game in aid of Men's Mental Health Charities - 'Adored' and 'Chris's House'
As I said, I'd be very surprised if he done that - it doesn't really make any sense for a player to do it.
We can't tie anyone's arms up their backs and force them to buy Miller, but hopefully we've got club officials using their contacts to get a move up and running. I'm slightly concerned about the lack of movement so far, as we could be doing with the money to be fired straight into a project.
This coming Saturday 3pm ko at Rockburn Park...Motherwell have stated that it will be an under20s team that will be playing.
Before the match, there will be a 7s tournament being held by the East Stand Motherwell group in support of Men's Mental Health charities...this begins at 10am and ends around 1.30pm.
A bottle of bucky settled me down...
...what an evening that was at Ibrox, and as someone else above said 'how were we in that position' with players like Johnson, Ainsworth, Pearson, McManus and McDonald.
When do we see 'episode 2'?
He's a goggly-eyed wee fanny that turned his back on more caps at the age of 30 because playing for Scotland is much more difficult than playing for Celtic in the league. At least Tierney had the baws to try his hand at a better domestic level
Edited to add...he's also a diving little cretin
