Total domination of possession but absolutely toothless up front. The pitch and the weather conditions clearly arenāt helping to be fair.

It wonāt be unique to us but we have never had a united support certainly not in my time supporting the club. There are guys in the East Stand that spend half the game trying to pick a fight with anyone who expresses an opinion that they disagree with and it inevitably descends into the usual āsupport yer team or fuck off tae Ibroxā replied to with āAve paid ma money aāll say whit a likeā and such like. The Main Stand centre section is pretty bad for that kind of thing too. And of course it is reflected on here and other social media forums.

Absolute joke that we have yet another player out with yet another injury which will keep him out for over a month. And before anybody tries the ābut, but, b b b b b b b b b but, butā¦.any player can get injuredā excuse, I accept that. What I canāt accept and canāt understand is why we consistently have players picking up injuries which rule them out for lengthy periods like this. Iāve said this before but the words āspeedy recoveryā have got to be the most used on our social media platforms over the last two years. Itās beyond ridiculous now. You have to conclude that this is down to us signing players whom we know are crocked before we sign them (the most likely scenario, imo) or we are doing something wrong in training or relating to fitness, preparation, nutrition and so on. No harm whatsoever to Jordan McGhee or indeed any of the many players we have had that have suffered injuries that have kept them out for long periods over the last two years and indeed I do wish him a āspeedy recoveryā but this has happened to too many players and for too many lengthy layoffs for it to be simply put down to bad luck or āany player can get injuredā.

Another tricky one on another artificial surface and I have no doubt another struggle. 2-1 home win.

Massive relief to get that last gasp winner last night. And a really good move it was too with the cross from Slattery and the bullet header from Fadinger. We won and that was the main thing, but that performance was dismal yet again and the alarm bells have moved up a decibel or two having watched that. Defensive disaster show yet again and we need more up front. Weāll be lucky to reach the last 16 if we donāt up our game considerably in the next two.

Fair enough.

Still no Jordan McGhee I see? āSpeedy recoveryā pending???

Great to see Matty Connelly getting his first start for the first team. Hopefully a clean sheet to go with it for him.

1-1 Who knows how the penalty shootout will go this time.
-
A good assessment from JBA there. Accepts that it wasnāt good enough and didnāt win but very balanced and states that we have to go and win on Tuesday. He certainly speaks well.
-
You can say what you like about Halliday, but he can certainly be trusted with a penalty. š
-
Heās certainly not hanging about is big JBA.

Billy Davies appointed Technical Head Coach at Morton.

1-0 in the friendly v Carlisle, Halliday penalty.

We played Clyde at this stage last season and it was a tough slog but we eventually got the job done. It could easily have gone the other way though. Saturday will be similar, but as I said I have concerns looking at the squad we have and obviously a new manager trying to find his feet. Iām looking forward to it as it will give an early indication of where we are but I reckon this will be a very tough game on that nightmare of a park.
-
But never mind that. How do you see the game going?
-
Depends on your definition of trolling. Personally I am just posting my views on the upcoming game given the team we have available to us and the horrific pitch weāll be playing on. Just my opinion, based on nothing other than my own thoughts. If thatās your definition of trolling then Iām guilty as charged.

I think this will be a struggle and unless we bring in some new additions between now and then weāve no right to expect it to be anything else. Clyde 2 Motherwell 0

Maybe it says āWe f*cking hate Thatcherā on the inside of the collarā¦

At first glance it looks very āMan Cityā but the sleeve trimmings and what appears to be a nod to the British Steel āSā logo in the pattern are a nice touch especially since it will be thirty years next July since the āCraig was demolished. The only let down is the āmfcā lettering replacing the badge but I know we used lettering long before the club badge on our kits. A solid 9/10 for me. š

Does anyone seriously think that we would be in a position to turn down an offer of anywhere near Ā£4.5m if we got one? And does anyone seriously believe that if offered the chance Miller wouldnāt go to Celtic for what would be life changing money and the opportunity to win silverware and play in the Champions League?? Because if there is anyone who thinks either of the above then itās time to wake up and smell the coffee.

Why is it folly? He is a proven goal machine and scored 70 odd goals for Hearts in three seasons. Perhaps if Critchley had played him in his proper position (No.9 instead of a 10) last season then that tally would be even higher and Critchley wouldn't have got the bullet when he did. I'm sure McInnes will get the best out of him going forward though. And 'fat Larry'? I keep reading this from his detractors, usually fans of Aberdeen, Celtic and Hibs. The guy is a professional athlete and there are plenty out there who wish they were as 'fat' as he is.

Lawrence Shankland and Motherwell FC canāt even be mentioned in the same sentence whilst keeping a straight face. If reports are correct he is about to sign a three year contract at Hearts which will make him their highest paid player, an offer which clubs like West Brom couldnāt compete with. I doubt even Rangers could have matched what Hearts are paying him. He is a top drawer striker and heās at a club that can match his ambition and wages which no other club in Scotland except probably Celtic could dream of matching.

He kept them in the league didnāt he? And Iād be amazed if most Dundee fans are thrilled at having Steven Pressley as his replacement. And Iād be pretty astounded if many/any thought that Pressley was an upgrade on Tony Doc.
-
Of course it is. But I just have this nagging worry that J.B.A will find it difficult/impossible to address them at all. No disrespect meant to the guy, honestly, but this is when we could have done with the āsafe pair of handsā ie. a Tony Docherty type that knows the Scottish game, knows the league we play in. All of this is of course my opinion and I may well be proved wrong but thatās how I see things at present.
