100% never helps the team or individual I can understand it after a piss-poor perfomance but even at that doesn't help anybody

Have I missed something he was arguably our best player under Kettlewell not including Van Veen

Have you seen him play? From the snippets i've seen he looks a similar profile to Slattery the only #6 we have is Maguire

Don't want their to be an over-reaction but some of the things were seeing in these games were typical at the start of the Hammell downfall. How after 3 seasons we still have not signed a Defensive-midfielder I don't know. Feel like we lack the grit required to win the midfield battle and felt we got over-run and outworked in there. Wouldn't be against moving Butcher into midfield when hes fit and sgning an organiser to play in the middle of that back 3

Majority of them seasons were in the championship no? Would argue the standard of team in the league is better than it was then hence the reason in his last few SPL seasons he was sub par.

I'd keep the back up goalie as it would be pointless to let him go? As for Kelly he's a good shot-stopper not disputing that but if a decent fee came in I'd 100% let him go hes not irreplaceable for us the way KVV will be or Campbell has been. Every signing we make there's no guarantee will work hence why I prefer when we bring in younger players and move them on for a fee as it attracts other good young players to Motherwell we are never going to retain a quality player for more than 2 years unfortunatley so its amount maxamising the fee we can get for each and every player.

Get some money into the club and if we can bring Ewan Wilson through at LB next season from what i've heard he's the best 1st team prospect bar Lennon.

Looking at players released wouldn't say no to Matty Kennedy to play Lwb or LM if we change formation for us apparently Fuchs also looking to head back north on loan would 100% take him. If were being honest we still need to sell Van Veen and get in the compensation from Deano and Johnston before we bring any in suspect well bring in 9-10 players also not sure the 3-5-2 is sustainable results wise with the way we were playing KVV was massivley dragging us through games.

I personally don't think Kelly is all that great and if someone offered a decent fee for him id be more than happy for him to move on. As much as he makes some brilliant saves I feel hes always to deep in the box to sweep through balls and don't ever feel he commands the penalty box saying that tho wouldn't be dissapointed to see him stay

I know this might sound premature but are we not better offering our highly rated youngters i.e miller 4 year pro deals hopefully they are able to establish themselves in that time and we can sell them on for a bigger fee than the compensation we get evrey time one leaves. Need to be looking to move on contracted players aswell Josh Morris should go as should Maguire, Mugabi, Mcginley and if a suitable offer comes in for Kelly id let him go.

Id be keeping Cornelius instead of Goss and O'Donnell hes been decent at Rwb and theres not really better out there on our budget. Need to keep Casey our defence looked shambloic without him and Butcher
