Not many positives, or good performances for that matter. My votes goes to Crags for a reasonable showing and trying his best to gee up the team.

I can see why folk would want Fraser given the chance, but for me as we still have 4th place to fight for you pick your best players, and that for me includes Ruddy.

He didn't play well today it's true, but considering how low on confidence he seems to single him out for abuse like this just isn't on. He simply isn't a left winger, his best position is inside left in a midfield three, the position he played early in the season when he was on fire. It might be to his benefit to have him on the bench for the rest of the season, taking him out the spotlight so to speak. The issue of his fitness isn't entirely fair, it's more to do with his lack of pace. Yes he isn't the quickest, but his delivery at times is superb and he has a great shot on him. I say keep off his back and help get the lad's confidence up. There's nothing like a Motherwell support to abuse our young players!!

Poor game in general. If I'm being honest neither team deserved any points for serving that dross up! In fairness to Falkirk they're fighting for their lives and worked their socks off. They were hungrier and more determined than us, and that is a sad fact from today. Fourth place is still up for grabs, we can't afford to wind down towards the summer. We lacked urgency, composure, touch on the ball and a will to win that Falkirk showed when it mattered. True we didn't get a lot of breaks, and the injuries to Ruddy and Lasley were cruel blows, but we rarely looked dangerous against the worst team in the SPL, and that is shocking. Brown and Knox have much work to do ahead of the trip to Shellic a week on Tuesday. If we are to lose that game, I want to see us go down fighting and not as meekly as today. Fingers out Motherwell.

I'm not sure what changes, if any, that Broon will make from last week. I anticipate that we will be desperate to bounce back after the poor showing at Tannadice, but Falkirk themselves are now in dire need of a win, which makes them very dangerous opponents. I'll say 3-1 Motherwell, but a win with one or two nervy moments along the way.

Great news! Now, how about O'Brien, Hateley, Lasley, Jennings etc to follow suit soon?!!

I'd be happy to offer my services as such, but not sure I'd want to be on the board. Delighted to help if I can though.

Crags for me, one of only a few who can be satisifed with their efforts.

A bad day at the office, that is what I'm hoping it will be. One bad result shouldn't detract from the excellent run we've been on, a defeat was always due. In fairness to MJC he got this one spot on!! Today saw some unusually bad defending from us, and the less said about Ruddy's involvement in their second goal the better! Its all the more difficult to explain after the very decent start we made, we passed the ball well and spread the play nicely. A bit of luck and we'd have been in front, but the red card changed everything, and our record against ten men is shocking! We simply didn't utilise the extra man at all, and United bullied us and worked their socks off to their credit. We gave them their first two goals which put us on the back foot, and to be fair we never looked like recovering. It was a bad yin but I'm confident we can recover next week.

It was Bowman and Van der Hoorn who scored the OGs in our 2-1 win there in February 1994. Both crackers too!!

Isn't it amazing how quickly fifteen years passes?!! I can still remember the shock and despair upon hearing of Coop's death, but that isn't the main memory I have of the great man. Some of his displays in Claret and Amber were simply mesmeric, in particular a game in May 1990 against Shellic at Fir Park. He scored a nalty in a 1-1 draw and ripped 'Shitey' Galloway to pieces from minute one that day. His smile as he walked round Hampden when we won the cup was an iconic image for me too, and the influence he had on players like Boyd, Arnott and of course O'Donnell was huge. RIP Davie, never forgotten.

I actually think it won't be a great game on Saturday. Tense yes but with neither side wanting to lose it could be a bit of a chess match. United will be justifiably buoyed after their win last night, and our lads will be champing at the bit after a two-week break, so I expect a great battle. I wouldn't make any changes to our side as no-one deserves to be left out, but United may be slightly weaker with injuries and tiredness which may give us a slight edge, but the elation they'll feel after reaching the semis will drive them on, so they are very dangerous opponents. A draw would be a decent result and I foresee a 0-0 scoreline.

Nice to have it officially confirmed, although I felt we were safe in the Top Six after our win in Perth. Well done to everyone.
-
Good news that, although in terms of Ruddy and Jutliewitz I am resigned to losing them in the summer, along with Reynolds. Great to see that we are planning for next season already.
-
So would I mate, and a Saints win at Huddersfield on Sunday too! Hope you stuff that lot on Wednesday, best to let them keep eleven men on the park though!
-
He scored twice at the weekend against East Fife in their 3-0 win. Interestingly, the Binos other goal came from ex-Dosser Stuart Elliott, who Accies have already punted out on loan!

We will be due to have United and Shellic at home, and face away trips to Hibs and Gers. We should also be away to the Jambos to but we are due 3 home games after the split, so perhaps they'll have to come to us again, which would be excellent.

The day of the final was a memorable one. We had open door at ours with breakest and bevvy on the menu! It was paty time before and after the match despite the outcome, after all we don't reach too many finals do we?!! I agree fully about the Shellic semi the year after, a total injustice and felt so bad for Kaiser, who was immense until the late abberation.
-
We only find that encouraging because our last manager didn't bother his arse doing any of that. That isn't meant negatively towards Craig and Archie by the way, just highlighting the differences!
-
Ha ha true! Think they thought we we kidding at first, but spoke to one at half time and he was really impressed! Before the game i'd have settled for 3-1 big time, but in the end that scoreline flatted the Jambos big time and 4 or 5-0 would've been fairer. Superb showings all round, but guys like Sutton, O'Brien, Jennings and Reynolds were particularly on form. Tannadice in a fortnight is a biggie for Europe now, the race for the Top Six is something for the Jambos, Sheep and Saintees to worry about, we're easily there!
-
There is no way the crowd at Falkirk would've been greater than ours without that special deal they had. Having said that, our lads deserve a bigger support given how well they're doing. Perhaps the club could do something for the rest of the season to get more Well fans inside Fir Park, especially with the prize of European fitba up for grabs again.

Not a failure in the team yesterday. Special mentions to the imperious Reynolds, the industrious Jennings and the tireless Sutton, but my vote went to the at times unstoppable Jim O'Brien.
