Forbes for me. Very composed on the ball, although can tend to dwell on it at times. That said he was terrific again yesterday, and what a goal!

We don't have a big enough squad to be shipping any out the door. Players like Las will feature over the season when injuries, suspensions and slumps in form kick in.

First half we were a bit out of sorts, not playing as well as we have been. Much of that was down to Saints enthusiasm and workrate. They were dangerous at set plays and caused us problems throughout. The first goal should've been cleared before it came back in, although it did require a jammy deflection to find the net. Second half was much better, with Gannon's personell and tactical changes reviving the team and giving us an exciting forty five minutes. Both our goals were terrific and we could and maybe should have had more. Their second goal was much like the first, very avoidable and poorly defended, although they did get the bounce of the ball. All in all it wasn't too bad a game, and a point on the opening day is alright.

Myself, the wife Sharon, Polomint Dosser and his BURD Laura (or is it Mylene.... ) Mon the Well!!

The 1-0 win at Paisley 2 years ago in Dingus' first game was great, gave us all such optimism for the year ahead. Who remembers Stevie Nicholas' injury time equaliser at Easter Road in '99?!! Tremendous! Ten years before that you had Cusack almost in the terracing behind the goal to celebrate his debut equaliser at Tannadice!

Another ex-Well man is lost too soon. I just caught the end of his well career, in fact my first ever Well goal was scored by Brian McLaughlin against Dunfermline in May 1982, so I have a lot to remember him by. RIP.

I think we'll start with the same X1 that began against Steaua last week, although maybe Jennings may come in. O'Brien aint a natural right back but seems to take advantage of the extra room coming forward, so as long as he keeps an eye on his defensive duties we should (hopefully) be okay. Any win will be great, so I'm going for 3-1 although with a few scary moments!

Jimbo hasn't let us down so far so if he rates Hateley then that's good enough for me. Welcome aboard Tam!
-
With Dougie its usually either a total shocker or we get a 'nalty from him, so here's hoping its the latter!!
-
At this stage there is no way Jimbo will be selling anyone in the first team squad unless its a very large offer. If anything I'm hoping for another defender in before the weekend.

I'd settle for mid-table and good runs in both cups. If you look at the likes of Aberdeen and Hibs they have gone backwards, maybe even Hearts too but United still appear half decent. If we can avoid too many injuries and suspensions and add 2 or 3 then we will do just fine.

No failures tonight with great performances all over the park, but I thought the deployment of Mark Reynolds in defensive midfield was a masterstroke and he was superb in that role.
-
He was very poor with the big decisions tonight in particular. We we due at least one penalty and Hamell was clearly fouled in the build up to Steaua's third goal. The linesman on the main stand side was an utter joke too, got sod all right all night.

No mate. Most of us realise that over the two legs we were beaten by a very good team, and I wish Steaua good luck for the Europa League and the league season. However last night for 55 minutes the dream comeback was most definitely on, and with a wee bit more luck and better refereeing decisions we could've been 2 or 3-0 up by then. Our lads were outstanding and deserved a better outcome on the night, but against quality sides you don't always get what you deserve. Our lads should be proud of their performance last night and use it as a springboard to starting the PL season well. Must say well done to the superb Steaua support last night too, sang throughout and there is good numbers to.

We are thinking of going via Coatbridge to avoid the traffic at Chapelhall, might be worth a shout.
-
Just under 2000 should be enough, but they have the wee overflow bit at the end of their main stand too if necessary, think that holds 5-600 so we will be fine. Mind you, the cup tie there in 2004 saw many folk late in and then (eventually!) moved to the main, A bit of crushing if I recall so here's hoping the Perth stewards are ready this time!

Whatever happens on Thursday, the players have to come off the field with no regrets. Go out and get on the ball, show no fear and have a go. Put them under pressure and see what happens. If we can get a draw or win on the night I will be satisfied with that. To go through would be frankly incredible and it would take a number of major things going in our favour. That said we have to get behind the team vocally and in good numbers on Thursday. I'm not sure how ticket sales are going but I'd hope we could at least match the last 2 crowds of 4500ish for the game. On the night, 2-1 Motherwell which means we go out but with heads held high.
-
I'd still like a right back and a striker at least, more if the likes of Fitzy and Dazzler are allowed to leave.
-
I must say I feel quite philosophical about the game last night. Steaua showed how impressive they are from midfield to front with some superb passing and movement, skill which no-one in the SPL could've coped with any better than we did. Okay we lost bad goal but it could've been more, and there can be no doubting the effort the lads put in. Barring a miracle we're out but let's get as many along to the Shiteberry next week to cheer the team on, they fully deserve our backing and maybe we can end our best ever European campaign with a win.
-
I think Gannon might revert to his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation for this tie, giving a solid back four the protection in front it will probably need on the night. The full backs and attacking midfield three will need to support the lone striker well if we are to threaten the Steaua goal and even keep some good possession. I feel the team will line up like this: Fraser/Ruddy Page/New Signing Craigan Reynolds Hammell Lasley Jennings Humphrey Forbes Slane Sutton If we can be competitive on the night and ensure we have a fighting chance in the second leg then that will do me fine.

Seeing as Shellic's Champions League qualifier doesn't appear to be on, what chance do WE have??!!!!!
-
When we played Dinamo Bucharest in the friendly in Austria two years ago it was live, so I'm sure the same Romanian channel will show this one. Wish I could remember its name though!

It is very unfortunate that Rab has gone, and I wish him all the best. Sadly though it does happen when a new manager comes in and wants his own people in place.
-
For me its an experienced right back we need. No harm to Saunders or Page but I'm not sure either is ready to hold down a place in the team just yet.
