  1. We could insist that everyone starts a new Topic any time they want to say something not directly associated with the Topic headings, but I imagine there would be complaints about having 354 new one-post Topics every day.
  2. If you can wait 4 minutes, I'll post my response.

  4. I'm not sure Armstrong fits the new gaffer's (or Wimmer's) preferred style, tbh. I'm not even sure we need a "big, powerful" striker as that also depends on the style preferences. There are a number of successful teams that don't use them. I would hope, however, he has ideas of his own and won't need to rely on loans from last season.
  5. Good deal for Watt and Partick I think.
  6. From memory it's a bit hit and miss. Depends if any TV company is covering it as MFC TV uses the TV feed. If not, then we are dependent on a club's own coverage, and quite a few don't offer that. Although technology has made it easier.
  7. And those of us over the age of 35 know it's Ferrigno
  8. He was one of may favourite players when I was a kid. I think I was about 9 or 10 when he joined us. Of course, at that age I had no idea of his history. For a brief time we had Wullie P, Bobby G and Peter M together.
  9. I'd prefer Marinello-esque, but will take what I can get.
  10. It's not the Motherwell content that's the issue.
  11. Short sighted means your close up vision is good. I can speak from experience of being short sighted and always taking my glasses off to read (because my close up vision is perfect). If it's further away I need bigger text, but I don't read websites from further away.
  12. Maybe it's the people that are happy being fed whatever Elon or The Zuck spews at them instead of connecting to the Fediverse that are luddites.
  13. Short sighted means you can read close up. No big text necessary. Just sayin'
  14. No doubt a typical slow start as we find our feet in the first half before we come into our own in the second half and close things out in the final 30 mins.
  15. 100% agree. The only reason I still use Twitter is to follow the club and I have made a few suggestions that we either ditch it or, at least, share that information elsewhere.
  16. I hope we don't have a 3rd strip - one of the worst examples of money-grabs in the modern game. The blue, presumably is a nod to the Ravenscraig towers (and our historical team colours). I've never been a fan of using claret as the base colour for our change kit though. Too Hearts-y.
  17. It's not black. It's not fluorescent. It's not jester-ish. That puts it ahead of the game for me. I'd be quite happy if our change kit every season was white with claret and amber trim, but those days have long gone. On the plus side, if we launch a kit you don't like, it will be gone in a season.
  18. There's more to it than first team goals, though. You only needed to watch him play for 45 minutes to see how good he was. Unlike, say, Theo Bair, who was very much a "project".
  19. Happens to every keeper that is asked to play this way. I remember watching Liverpool lose a goal or two when Allison was disposessed.
  20. Not a bad shout. While British Steel shoulder some of the blame, if they were a bank with those financial problems the government of the day would have been more than happy to throw our tax money at them and keep them afloat.
  21. Agreed on both counts. I guarantee, however, there will be complaints about the new SO too when sections of our fans don't get their way.
