Vale's finish was excellent too. For all the talk about "poking it home" the replay on the stream proved it was a bit better than that.

For such an important game, that was a hell of a performance from Motherwell!
Adam’s is not going to be pleased 😂He's already slagged off all of Scottish football, his players and his employer. Not sure who has left to be annoyed with.

He didn't leave us because he arrived at Fir Park to be dismayed at how we were playing. He left because he got a chance to test himself and get some more experience at a higher level.
Well that and because Arsenal told him to go there.
I really liked the guy and would loved it if he'd stayed. He played like an old school centre forward though, so not sure he needs total football to be more productive.

Must vote poll.
Make your choice...

Classic hammering.
3 goals first half. Quieter second half. 2 late goals.
Pleasing.

A fluke goal, a blatantly offside goal, a deflection, an OG, a soft penalty....it doesn't matter.
Ideal world would be a strong performance and a win tonight and a blatantly offside goal to beat Imrie on Friday.

Imrie just been awarded the manager of the month curse. Pretty confident we'll pump them on Friday now.
Disclaimer: this post may not age well 😁
We just gave Theo our player of the month, so one of them is going to end up disappointed.

If we had someone who was based at the club full time the complaints on here would be "why are we wasting a wage on someone who just watches videos in his office all day instead of located for easy access to all the games in our target market?"

It's a must-win home game against our relegation playoff spot rival. Nothing less than 3 points will suffice.
What does that even mean?
That reads like the laziest clichés in the worst newspapers.
If we get something less than 3 points is there some new rule that means we're forbidden from winning any more games this season?
I suppose "good to win game, but a draw wouldn't be a disaster and even if we lost we've started to show better form that will likely pick up sufficient points to stay safe this season" match is a bit long winded.

Another greetin' faced Derek Adams post-match interview is on the cards.
Theo Bair brace for the win.

3 points off play-off spot, 4 points of 6th.
Onwards and upwards or relegation battle? You can post those thoughts in a different thread where they care, but after you've made your choice...

Didn’t come across that way. He got a chance at a better offer and took it
Would be a better offer for Arsenal too, as I'm sure we weren't paying nearly as much of Mika's wages as his new club are

Our stats this season have been OK in the goals scored column and abysmal in the goals conceded.
If we can eliminate about half the stupid defensive mistakes and maintain the goals, we could be pushing for top 6.
If we don't eliminate the defensive mistakes, I see us 8th or 9th.
As poor as we have been, I don't think we have the look of relegation fodder at this stage. You can normally see that in the players and manager's eyes, as well as their body language on the pitch. Not to mention the post-match interviews

So KVV had "every club in Scotland" interested and he chose Killie? He must love a pie.
I predicted he'd be back to his regular 7 or 8 goals a season, so I suppose we'll see Notradamic I can be.
Thanks for the transfer money Kev and mind your achilles on the plastic.
Oh, and 2 - 1 for us tomorrow.

Nice to see Crags score a goal that wasn't into his own net.

15 May 1982. Enjoyed the whole season but that result at Tynecastle was the icing on the cake. Wonderful.
Place almost burst into flames when the Killie HT score came in. And the best bit was that we already had the League won but our players and fans wanted more.
It was a great season and I really enjoyed visiting all those grounds that have long since disappeared or been "upgraded".
I was also at Tynecastle for that game and was primarily interested in who was going to end up our top scorer - but then that half time score was announced and it was hilarious.

Special mention for Derek Murray.
He used his own unique hybrid of zone and man marking that meant he was never close enough to tackle or in the right space to cover.

As some of the older/vintage fans have said, it would take a lot to beat Wallace or Hynd, although Bobby Watson comes very close 😱😱😱.
Watson's team was terrible - played 36, won 4... and I'm not sure how we managed that many wins. Although, to be fair, the slide started when Wallace was in charge.
It did lead to wee Tommy taking over too, so it ended well.

I wouldn't put it past that slimy mob from the east end trying to find a way out of the sell on fee.
It's no skin of their nose - they just build it in to the selling price.

It's quite telling that we finished above Kilmarnock last season and beat them at home the last time we played but Kettlewell has lowered expectations so much that most people see this as a game we are unlikely to win.
A few months ago we had to ignore results against the Old Firm, then it was ignore the results against Aberdeen and Hearts. Now it doesn't matter if we get beat off Kilmarnock at home apparently.
Kilmarnock was our last home win on the 26th of August 2023.
It's also quite telling you think "Kilmarnock was our last home win on the 26th of August 2023".

And the Warnock love-in. I've nothing against the man, but I don't think he's hilarious just because he speaks with a Yorkshire accent, says words like "muck" and shouts at refs.
