  1. And there's a new feature where you have to read every one of Robbo's Boy's posts before it let's you change them back.
  2. We'll need to deploy 11 sweepers this week to get the game on.
  3. With all the money we've spent on stadium upgrades, you'd have thought someone might have lagged the pipes.
  4. I'd imagine that insurance covers the bulk of the repairs. We will be losing money on the rescheduled game, however, as apparently tomorrow's hospitality was sold out and a large crowd was on the cards as fans returned to proper football after the break. No way we pull in as much money for a Tuesday night game in February.
  5. Sounds like we didn't take any precautions when the forecast was sub-zero temps, with "loads of the stand frozen (so no running water or heating) and those parts which have thawed causing extensive flooding damage"
  6. Liverpool at Ibrox showed how far away EPL teams are from Scottish Premiership teams. When you consider that many of their players could literally buy our club with a year of their salary it's hardly surprising. It's literally a different world they operate in. Pre-covid, when our club had a turnover of £4.9 million, Spurs had a turnover of nearly £490 million. That's quite a staggering gulf and while it's easy to say money isn't the only factor in a team's success, there isn't any team in England with a £4.9 million turnover challenging for a Champions League spot.
  7. If the players don't want their medical issues paraded around the daily red-tops then there's not much the club can do about it. It's the players' right to keep it private if they want to. Social media and 24hr news cycles means we are all keen to get hourly updates on everything going on. When Robinson used to discuss injuries and availability, 90% of it was BS anyway, so I'm not sure it really helps.
  8. I was being polite, but at least someone understood!
  9. I don't mind bright colours, I just don't like fluorescent bright colours (on a shirt) - for me, it just makes them feel a bit cheap and tacky. Reminds of the handwritten flourescent signs you see outside shops full of tat with "Everything on Sale" scribbled on them. Maybe it's because I lived through the outbreak of 80s Nevica that I'm quite happy to leave that in the past. Anyway, I get it's just a matter of personal taste and you can't please everybody. I do appreciate the thought behind it.
  10. I love the idea. I cannot stand fluorescent kits. So I'm conflicted on this one.
  11. What Catalonian man doesn't spend his youth daydreaming about the sultry temptresses of North Lanarkshire?
  12. Although the film version of Garfield was a total dog.
  13. I was hoping for a big Finn with a mullet.
  14. I thought maybe you'd accidentally installed the latest Qatari spell checker.
  15. Arbroath have had a dip in form this season, but the conditions in January are rarely easy to play. The wind makes every pass an adventure.
  16. In before grizzly's inevitable "we'll smoke them" effort.
  17. Anybody we haven't played 15+ times in the last 3 seasons would be nice.
  18. Mr. Burrows is tweeting that the Record has jumped the gun
  19. "Tell me your age without telling me your age" "I used to stand on the terracing watching Jimmy O'Rourke playing... in a yellow shirt"
  20. <nerd alert>George's mother is also called Marjorie and sometimes appeared on Shooting Stars in place of her wee boy.</nerd alert>
  21. Most managers talk about how they are inundated with agents pushing players multiple times per week. I doubt Hammell will be any different in that respect. The challenge with January windows is that the vast majority of teams are going to hang to the the vast majority of their best players; especially at our level. So once again you are left looking at players with "a point to prove" or who are "looking for game time" etc. Which can work out well, of course, but is always higher risk.
  22. I've seen us do it on many occasions. I'm still happier being a 'Well fan than a Buddy.
  23. Wasn't able to watch the game, but I'm going to assume we were robbed. Take your pick...
