  1. There's zero chance of getting a 20 goals a season striker into Fir Park in January, but on paper at least, this looks like a decent signing. We've had no options through the middle, so even when KVV has been injured, sick or just off form he's still had to be the starter.
  2. That comment deserved more likes. From the official website it seems that Stockport changed tactics and stopped using a winger, so he's looking for more game time elsewhere. Hope he's up to the challenge as we need options out wide.
  3. Surprised nobody mentioned Jake Taylor this weekend. One of the Stevenage team that beat Aston Villa on Sunday.
  4. If the job is writing for Mrs Brown's Boys, then yes.
  5. It's the various gaffers that decide who we sign. The buck starts and stops there for each and every transfer. Blaming a scout for a signing is like blaming a waiter for your dinner.
  6. Same result, different day. Take your pick...
  7. For me, "a few" is more than "a couple" and as "a couple" is two I'm expecting 3 minimum (or I'll be calling the Daily Record Hotline to complain about being misled by the Board).
  8. I wonder if he's learned how to avoid crossing balls straight into the first defender yet.
  9. "Show us your medals" is a relatively recent thing though. Players used to stick with teams for years - partly through loyalty and partly because there was a maximum wage cap and moving didn't bring in any extra money. If the team you stuck with wasn't winning trophies every season that was just your tough luck. It also means that nobody that played at Fir Park in the 30 odd years before or after 1991 was as good as any of the team that won the cup.
  10. The playing surface at Tony Macaroni is pasta joke. Discuss... after you've made your choice.
  11. There has never been a good game of football played on a pitch like this by any team ever. And that's a scientific fact.
  12. I'm quite impressed by the fact that Livi have managed to prepare their plastic in a way that it looks even more unplayable than usual. That bounce is ridiculous.
  13. There's a good argument to made for Gary McAllister. In my time, the player who came through our ranks who had the most success in his post-Motherwell career. Pettigrew, Graham, Russell, Cooper, McAllister, Coyne, McFadden, Higdon etc. all brought high quality to the team. And then there is Joe Wark - an fantastically gifted full back from a time when full backs were often more cloggers than footballers. His consistent high quality and his length of time with the club puts him in the genuine legend category. Which leaves me where I started in this thread. I don't know.
  14. I watch it on an ESPN+ subscription. I think it's around $9.95/month now (was $7.95 when I originally signed up). You get about 7 or 8 Championship games in a week, plus a few League One and League Two, FA Cup and Carabao Cup games. Not to mention a lot of the International games. There's also Spanish, German, Dutch and Belgian football, and a whole range of other sports from Cricket and Golf to Tennis and Swimming. And if you miss a game, they are usually available on-demand for a week or so. The Scottish Championship Friday night games used to be streamed on there too, but they aren't available this season. There are still a few cup games from Scotland shown from time to time. Most Smart TVs have the ESPN app available, but you can also watch on your computer or phone. I sound like I'm an ESPN+ shill, but it's easily the best value subscription I have.
  15. I hope Lamie bought a ticket to watch that goal.
  16. Good going forward and poor defending is the way full backs work these days. Drives me nuts, but you see it everywhere.
  17. Was watching the game today where wee Al score the opener for Luton's win against Norwich. (Norwich equalised, but after Luton went down to 10 men they found a last minute winner).
  18. Rangers have been pretty poor the last few games I've seen them play. However, given our propensity for gifting soft goals, we'll struggle to take anything from this.
  19. After bravely digging in to see out (and off) a 2 goal lead, time to take your pick...
  20. Didn't need VAR to see that was a red. I'd have the fear if it was 0 - 0 or even 1 - 0, but surely even we can see this out* *standard Motherwell disclaimers apply
  21. Class finish there from a tight angle.
  22. We need to start hitting shots first time instead of taking the touch.
  23. And there's a new feature where you have to read every one of Robbo's Boy's posts before it let's you change them back.
