  1. I don't think I've ever been to game in Paisley where I didn't get soaked. Decent 2nd half performance and stopped the temporary slide. Onwards and upwards.
  2. Unless the teams around us also lose their next two games as badly as us etc. etc.
  3. That would be ridiculous. If it was in Nandos, that would be a different story.
  4. I suggested earlier in the thread that the club and Gallagher should be able to negotiate a contractual solution agreeable to both parties. Maybe I'm the source.
  5. Any time a team is struggling the knee-jerk reaction is complaining about "lack of passion", "lack of commitment", "no leadership", etc. 99 times out of 100, however, it's just a lack of confidence; often after some bad luck and/or a small run of bad results. You don't need to look any further than Livi to see how the same core of players can turn things around in a short space of time. One of the best players I have ever seen at Fir Park is Joe Wark. He was the captain the first time I saw us relegated, and he was the captain for the years we struggled to get out of the First Division. If you ever wanted an role model for commitment, passion and leadership, he was the man. We were still mince that relegation season.
  6. It's the "running from a bear" philosophy. You don't have to be faster than the bear - just faster than your slowest mate. Same thing here. We just need to be better than 2 other teams.
  7. I still have no doubt we'll stay up. I think we'll maintain a decent above relegation and play-off before the split and increase that gap post-split. The only wildcard for me right now is the injury situation.
  8. Apart from all the obvious issues with relegation, there is also the likelihood you end up playing on BBC Scotland's Friday night broadcast most weeks.
  9. 'Flow just discovered we haven't had a youth academy since 2016.
  10. If we give the ball away 4 times in 10 seconds we can't really blame it just on Carroll.
  11. It's quite possible the equipment is fine and the problem is elsewhere. The number of individual components that can go wrong in an internet stream is huge. And even if there was a problem, they might not be able to fix it. So better we have some commentary than none.
  12. Picture is fine for me, sound has a bit of a hiss. I was able to use a bit of web browser know-how block my name appearing on the picture. If you have something like uBlock origin installed as an ad-blocker you can right-click on your "name banner" and Block Element.
  13. That terracing looks great. I vote for leaving it as-is.
  14. If we're going to scrap one, my vote is to skip the League Cup for a year.
  15. No point worrying or complaining about injuries or bad luck. The time for that is when we are looking back at the season. Whoever plays in this game needs to step up and grind out a result.
  16. As a centre half? He certainly put in the effort but (and I don't say this about many 'Well players) didn't have the talent to operate at our level. A good foil for Moult, but a Premiership goal scorer he was not. League Two and below are his level, and I'm happy for him that he continues to find success there.
  17. At least Big Dec's hamstring won't interfere with the hand he uses to sign his modified contract.
  18. Welcome to the world of the overseas fans. On the plus side for us, it's all over before lunchtime and then you can enjoy your Saturday afternoon.
  19. I think the traditional approach is to chuck your computer out the window.
  20. Although, having said all that, 6 - 0 would be acceptable.
  21. The daylight is the key. Once that gap is large enough and the team can think about looking up the table, the change in mentality can be huge. I'd love to see us cuff Accies, but at this stage, I'll take 3 points any which way.
  22. Given the strict interpretation of the new rules, we were lucky the ref didn't blow for hand ball.
  23. Lamie was never a terrible player - not a superstar, but never terrible. He was put at a disadvantage by the fact that almost every time he played, he was being put in a different starting position. It's certainly no coincidence that giving a player a few starts in their best position sees them settle in and improve. Alexander has, largely, had to play the hand he's been dealt at this point in the season so it's good to see he's starting to get the best out of the players we have. He talks about how well we deal with crosses and how he's happy to let opponents have possession in areas where it doesn't hurt us. Whether that is his general philosophy, or whether it's just how he sees the strengths of the current squad, it's working out OK for now.
  24. I'm not greedy. I'll take 4 - 0 for this one.
